Setting: 
Tanis was in a good mood he had a good run of luck going and it mad things pleasant. He had stopped by his old tribe and seen his godfather than ventured on to new lands. He had made it up a mountain and ran into another male. They managed to survive a blizzard and ended up becoming friends. He was feeling very light today which was particular good. He had found a lake that was peaceful and the surrounding trees seemed to be changing colors and loosing their leaves. There was even a human boat but because of the season Tanis didn't expect that he would run into any.

 Conall made his way through the new surrounding. He had come quite accustom to venturing out on his own. Going further and further away from the tribe. With permission of course. He would never leave his tribes lands with out telling someone first or asking permission. He didn't leave because he didn't like being there. In fact, he loved his tribe home. It was quite beautiful and nice. He just liked to get to know the area around his tribe. The more he new the better sense of direction he wold have and could lead others around if they ever wanted to go anywhere.
He jumped onto an overturned tree and walked along it. The forest was quiet. The only sound was the leves falling to the ground and rustling in the wind. It seemed a little too quiet for his tastes. That usually meant something was wrong. Glancing around the area, he tried to get a sense of what was out there. The last thing he wanted was to run into a bear... or worse. A mountain cat. He had faced ones of those before. They were impossible to kill. Your only option was to avoid it's claws and teeth until you had an opening and then you ran like your tail was on fire. And he was pretty fast. He could run rather quickly when his life was in danger.
Moving off the log so he wasn't in plane sight, he made his way down toward he lake. So far there was nothing. Maybe it was just a quiet day today. He made his way toward the lakes edge to get something to drink.

Tanis hummed as he walked along the lakes edge. It was a fairly big lake which he assumed the humans helped nature grow it. He had also seen them dump fish of all sorts into it while they were making it over the years. It was a nice warm late summer, early autumn day.
His paws passed over all sorts of rocks smooth and sharp and the ground below his paws was wet and mushy from what he could only guess was water but not how.. He gazed around and noticed some birds flying over head in search of something.
At the thought of searching he felt his tummy rumble a protest telling him that it was about lunch. What to have what to have he pondered to himself as he gazed around while walking. Unbeknownst to him he was heading to an old friend sorta say.
