Dusk Wave always found himself in this little corner of the swamp, yet he didn't seem to mind it. It was usually quiet and windy, which suited him perfectly as he came here when he needed to think about things. Things like, where he should go next or if he should try to meet someone somewhere.

Today, however, was a little more serious and he felt almost on edge as he wandered about, thinking deeply about this next action. Should he go back to the beach or try and find his family? He knew his father was with the Tidewalkers, but his siblings were scattered about as far as he knew and Dusk hadn't seen them in a very long time. Nor his mother, for that matter, but maybe he could try and find them. It couldn't be too terribly hard, could it? Asking around could help possibly... The young buck was lost in his thoughts as he pondered what to do, still wandering the small area, oblivious to nearly anything else.

Moorglow had many homes. Deep in the Swamp, on the sandy beach, on the fringes of the wide and open plains; subject to bouts of wanderlust, the doe never remained in one place for very long. Thus, she had secured herself a great number of wallows and hidey-holes, stuffed hidden caches of supplies here and there so that she always had something to return to.

Uncharacteristically reminiscent, Moorglow wasn't really paying attention to where her hooves were taking her. Her thoughts raced back to the Tidewalkers, to where her allegiance lie. Leader of them all was Bitterleaf. Her mother. It was mostly for that precise reason that Moorglow stayed away for as long as she could. The pressure that went hand-in-hand with being Bitterleaf's daughter was... at most times, too much to bear.

The doe's ears twitched suddenly, straining to pick up the sounds of something close by. Moorglow slowed, but not entirely halted, scrutinizing her immediate surroundings in an attempt to glean who was close- if not what.

While distracted, Dusk Wave was still a Tidewalker (albeit having been gone for some time) and his senses picked up on someone, or something, nearby. Snapping out of his thoughts, he quickly looked up, looking around the area for evidence of what could be nearby. However, his sight to whatever could be nearby was obscured and as he squinted and cautiously stepped forward, he couldn't make out much in the scenery. Whatever was nearby though, he wanted them to come out.

"Hello?" Dusk tried out cautiously, the unsure greeting coming out in a rasp from disuse of his voice. It was a seemingly permanent affliction of his and a source of annoyance. He felt weak with it, not strong, not like he should be as a Tidewalker. But the greeting was out already and he couldn't take back what was said nor fix this rasp. So he simply waited, watching, to see what would come out.

Hopefully, it would be friendly towards him.

What else would call out but another kin? Moorglow was not surprised. The Tidewalkers were anything but lax in patrolling their territory; her mother fiercely protected what had been hard-won. She did not blame the mare, nor the herd for keeping safe what was theirs. With a head full of well-placed senses, Moorglow was quick to respond to the voice which called it. If it was a Tidewalker patrol, it would not be in her best interests to delay in identifying herself.

"I mean no harm," came the sure and calm response. The very obviously Tidewalker-descended doe stepped forward with confidence. She failed to recognize the buck, but why would he be on Tidewalker territory if he was not one of the herd?
