The two young Phony’s stood at the base of a tree, staring upwards. A pitiful meow called for attention, the sounds owner a scraggly little feline that was clinging to one of the highest branches as if it had completely forgotten any concept of what climbing was. “He’s stuck.” Pink Lemonade announced for the benefit of her current companion, turning her head to look at him expectantly. “You’d better go up and get him.” Cirrus stared back at her with big morose eyes. “…why me?” Pink Lemonade nudged him impatiently. “Because you’re the one with wings silly.” Cirrus looked between her and the tree a few times before shaking his head, his voice escaping in a low whisper. “ It’s too high.” The cat meowed again and Pink Lemonade gave Cirrus a very, very unimpressed look.

Hydrangea was moseying along, going to head to the flower shop and visit Honeysuckle again, perhaps pick up some more flowers, when his tiny ears flickered to the sound of a pitiful meow. Turning his attention, he saw two other young ponies gazing up at a very scared cat stuck in a tree. "Oh heavens...." he said softly, trotting over. He glanced at Cirrus and then at Pink Lemonade, then back up to the cat in the tree. "Is someone going to help it?" he tilted his head curiously, blinking from the filly to the colt. He wasn't sure his magic was strong enough.... he also wasn't aware how upset the little unicorn was at the little Pegasus.

There were three phony foals clustered around the base of a tree, and Bohemian Raspberry didn't know any of them, which was enough of an excuse for her to trot on over and see what was going on. From the plaintive mews and the concerned staring, she quickly deduced that the cat in the tree was the cause of the impromptu gathering.
"Aww, a kitty! Whose kitty is he? One of yours? Why's he up a tree?" The pink filly cooed and made kissy noises at the creature, but it didn't come any closer. She wasn't too sure what she could do; she wasn't particularly good at climbing trees, and she was pretty sure her parents didn't own a ladder tall enough to get the cat.

Pink Lemonade turned to greet Hydrangea, while Cirrus stared at the ground without seeming to be really looking at anything at all. “That’s the plan.” She told him primly, giving Cirrus a pointed look.
Cirrus shifted from staring at the ground to staring at the horizon.
Pink Lemonade nodded politely at the new pink girl. “No, he’s not my kitty and I’m not sure who he belongs to, but he’s stuck, we need to save the poor dear and Cirrus is the only one who can do it.”
“… it’s too high.” Cirrus mumbled for a second time.

Fruit Punch had no idea where his little sister was or what she was doing, but the second he saw her after looking for the pink filly for at least an hour now, he trotted over to the group and stopped by Pink Lemonade's side. "Sis, what're you doing?" His attention was drawn upwards when he noticed everyone else was looking up, and that's when his cotton candy eyes fell on the cat that was quite obviously stuck.
"Oh..." He looked at Cirrus, realizing that the pegasus must be friends with his sister and that's why she was encouraging him. "We can cheer you on from down here if it seems too scary to fly up there."

Hyd frowned, glancing at the cat then to Cirrus, Pink Lemonade, and now Bohemian Raspberry and Fruit Punch. So many fillies and colts, he had never been around this many young ones in his life... besides his siblings. He was more of a withdrawn type, sticking to his plants, his dog and his mane. But now there was a poor cat stuck in a tree and no one seemed to want to help him. Poor Cirrus looked so scared. "Maybe he's afraid.... I.. I could try my magic..." he offered the suggestion but knew that wouldn't work. His magic wasn't strong at all. In hopes, he turned to Fruit Punch. "What....about you?" he said, for a moment getting lost in the colts two colored eyes. They were really... amazing.

Boho didn't see how the tree was too high for the little pegasus- after all, she'd seen pegasi fly way higher than that- but maybe it was just because he was little. Regardless, he seemed pretty upset about it, so she kept her mouth shut in regards to his flying ability. She had no magic to offer, but she'd seen what happened to cats in trees in cartoons. "What if we called the fire department and they could come out with a ladder? Or like, the city lighting people? Or do we know anybody with a cherry farm who would have a cherry picker?" There had to be some other way to get that cat out of the tree.

Pink Lemonade wordlessly welcomed her brother with a gentle hip bump, but her attention remained fixed on Cirrus, her glower demanding a better excuse than the one he was giving.
Cirrus tucked his wings in close to his body and studied a rather nice blade of grass as he informed them of the knowledge that kept him grounded. “My tea leaves were very particular this morning. They said no flying, and so, with my greatest apologies, I will not fly.”
“Well then…” Pink Lemonade had decided to let it go and turned to look at the other pink girl, who at least had come up with some good idea, “I wanted to do it ourselves but it looks like we might have to get some expert help.”

The fire-headed colt frowned when Hydrangea spoke to him, wondering if he had anything to give that might just help that poor cat feel good enough to come down. Come to think of it, he hadn't met this guy before. "Nah, I got nothing. I'm gonna be a bartender when I grow up, so unless that cat likes something fruity I can't help it." He didn't seem really bothered admitting that, although he was a little annoyed that no one here seemed to be able to do anything.
"Alright, I guess that means we'll have to go find some help. I don't know anyphony with a cherry picker, but worst case scenario maybe we can get some squeaky toys. Maybe then it'll come down and try to play." Fruit Punch didn't know much about cats, but if dogs liked to play all the time than felines most likely did too.

Hydrangea tilted his head. This was not what he had in mind really. He was thinking more about levitating the cat down like he had practiced on his mama's cookie jar......but even that didn't work out too well. He didn't think cats would shatter like glass but it wasn't a pretty sight anyways. "I don't know anyone with any of those....." He said with a sigh, and then nodded a thanks to Fruit Punch before slinking over to Cirrus.
"How come they said you can't fly?" he tilted his head, quite curious. The shy little guy seemed real sweet and calm. Hyd liked that. He wasn't much of a loud party pony anyways.... only with Lullaby was he ever loud because he was usually laughing so much at their sillyness.

Boho nodded at the other filly. "Yeah, I understand. Besides, if we bother the fire department, they might get mad that we wasted their time with just a cat." Also, there was something appealing about getting to play the hero, even if it was with just a kitty. At the others' suggestions, though, she squeaked with an idea. She turned to the stripe-haired unicorn. "Toys! That's a great idea. My dad's got a kitty, but it doesn't like squeaky toys. What my dad's kitty likes is mice, feathers on a string, and catnip. What if we went and got some catnip? Or borrowed a feather from our pegasus friend here, if he ain't usin' 'em to fly and he's got one to spare? Or else we could use, like, a leaf or something."

Cirrus seemed to tuck his wings in even tighter when the very pink girl mentioned using one of his feathers. Having them pulled out was no fun at all. “…I dunno.” He answered Hydrangea softly. “They didn’t tell me why.”
“Alright then, this is the plan.” Pink Lemonade began loudly, demanding everyone’s attention. “Fruit Punch and… I’m sorry, I don’t know your name…” She trailed off, looking at Boho. “Ah, but anyway, you two will go and find some cat toys, anything that might get its attention. See if you can get your hands on some food as well. Maybe it’s hungry.
Meanwhile Hydrangea and I will try get out hands on a ladder. That will at least get us closer. And Cirrus, you’ll stay here and keep watch. We’ll all meet back in one hour. Does that suit everyone?”

Fruit Punch didn't mind being told what to do by his little sis, since she'd come up with a plan that he hadn't exactly thought of himself. "Sounds good to me, PL." He turned to look at his temporary partner, finding this filly to be pretty cute. Aside from feeling awesome about helping a stranded cat out, his day was going to be made by the fact that he got to spend some time with a cute girl.
"Cats are totally crazy about catnip, right? That should do the trick. If your dad has a cat, maybe he'll let us borrow some stuff if we say we want to help this one get down from the tree." With a flick of his tail, he motioned for Boho to lead the way.

Hyd tilted his head at Pink Lemonade before glancing at Fruit Punch and the others. He wasn't sure this would be the best way to go about it but at least the poor little kitty would be down soon. Or hopefully. "Ok, that sounds good. I.. don't know where we would find a ladder though, do you?"

Bohemian Raspberry followed the stripey unicorn colt, waving goodbye to the other pink filly. "I'm Bohemian Raspberry! We'll be back in a little bit!" She trotted to catch up to the unicorn, whose name was apparently Fruit Punch. "Dad keeps the catnip in the garage with the cat food, so we can just duck in and grab some. He's probably still sleepin' in, and he gets reeeeal cranky if you wake him up after Five Dollar Fiestarita Night. Our place is just around the corner. If he's up, I'll introduce you, though, because you said you were gonna be a bartender, and those are like, his favorite phonies!" she chirped as they jogged along.
