He has no recollection of his life before dying, all he knew when he woke up in the Rukongai was that he wanted to make many friends. The notion of 'Friendship' was what drove Gentarou to do many things to the extreme for the sake of the residents of Rukongai; 'If I become friends with them, maybe something amazing will happen?' And so Gentarou began befriending as many people as possible in the Rukongai, somewhere along the line he developed a group with which he set about helping the residents; self-appointed assistants of all those in Rukongai, they helped take care of the elder spirits and played with the children.
Sometime down the road, he discovered that he had dormant powers - Reiryoku to be precise - so he decided that, after helping most of the people in Rukongai, that he needed to improve Seireitei as well. So he applied to the Academy where after a few dozen reapplications - he was forced to redress his hair and look more 'presentable' - he was accepted. He trained at the academy, also trying to befriend many of his fellow classmates, but most were deterred by his overpowering friendliness and he went through the academy with very few friends. He graduated as an average student of extremes; he didn't do things well, but he put all of his effort into it.
From time to time, he will return to Rukongai to meet up with old friends, to tell them about his missions and what not and to lend some aid. As for his Division, for right now he is just getting to know them... But soon enough they will all be the best of friends.

Zenkai Uchuuohmi (Absolute Destruction Cosmic Long Blade) [全壊宇宙大身]:
Stores energy in the body of the sword, pulsing until swung, which then releases a giant blade of spirit energy. It travels a small distance but can be swung continuously depending on how much it is charged. [[Each post about charging equates to three charges, which can be swung three times; The cooldown is equal to the number of charging posts]]
Rasen Ryuusei (Spiral Meteor) [螺旋流星]:
Gathers energy in the body of the sword, swirling and spinning until swung, which then releases a baseball sized ball of spirit energy that gathers floating spirit energy till it swells to the size of a small child, which grants it a ring and causes an area explosion when it hits something. He can only fire one at the moment and he must wait a while before shooting one again. (Blows up after three posts, then cooldown of three posts starts)

Kousokuho (Lightspeed Step) [光速歩]
It is a mostly passive ability that enhances his speed, but when activated fully can increase his speed a hundred fold, so that his normal movements seem to be high grade Shunpo, and his Shunpos to be Sonido level. However, this puts too much of a strain on his body for extended use and is typically only used as a means of escape. He has not mastered this ability yet and can use it only once a month for one single jump. Can travel a maximum distance of 10 miles with the jump.
