Could you catch me for once
Mei headed up to her room and locked the door behind herself. She put her guns in the night stand next to her bed before lying down. She rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling contemplating the meaning and point of her life. Today sucked majorly, and it sucked more than most days at this God forsaken school.

Abaddon quietly entered Mei's room and closed the door behind himself. He looked over and noticed Mei lying on her bed staring at the ceiling.
He wasn't sure what to say or what to do. All he knew was he needed to be here right now and smooth things over with his best friend.

Despite how quiet Abaddon was, Mei still noticed him.
"Abaddon, now isn't the time to come poke the sleeping bear." Mei grumbled, "Go back to your room before I shoot you. Now is not the time to come asking me for favors. I am not in the mood to see you right now."

"Come on Mei." Abaddon said as he approached her bed, "Mica told me you tried to kill yourself. Why would you do something like that? Why didn't you call me?"

Abaddon stopped thinking, for whatever reason Mei dismissing him and the fact he was banned from being anywhere near her caused a slight compromise in his response.
"Mei. I am sorry if I hurt you. I shouldn't have said anything to Az. I should have told you what was going on. I should have told you I still planned to ask Liz out today. Sorry I was such a jerk." Abaddon said as he sat down on the foot of her bed.

"You are an a** and I f**cking hate you. You know that right?" Mei complained as she sat up on the bed before getting to her knees.
She then lunged at Abaddon because she wanted nothing more than to beat the living daylights out of him.
She tackled him off of the edge of her bed and onto the floor.

Abaddon fell to the floor but as Mei tried to get the upperhand he rolled an pulled Mei to the ground with him before rolling on top of her and pinning her to the floor. He pinned her to the floor and looked down at her.
"You don't mean that, Mei." He argued, "I don't buy it otherwise you wouldn't have tried to kill yourself. You know that. Don't lie to me."

Mei was easily overpowered by Abaddon, which didn't really surprise her. What surprised her was his words. She tried to wiggle out of his grasp to no avail.
"Quit filling my head with lies." Mei cried, "Why can't you be real with me? We have known each other forever. Yet you still pull s**t with me. Even then I would have never expected what you did today. I trusted you yet you still mess with my head. You make me like you, and you don't even give a flying f**k about me until it bites you in the a**."

Abaddon let go of her arms and got off of Mei. He sat down on the floor at the foot of her bed and said "Mei please don't force my hand. You know I care. I am sorry. Truly sorry. Do what you have to. Seek vengeance. Hurt me. Make me understand. Make this even. I don't want you to hate me but I know I messed up big time. I can't expect another chance, but it doesn't mean I don't want another chance to salvage our friendship."

Mei wanted to tell Abaddon to leave, but she also wanted him to stay.
She got to her feet and walked over to her night stand, she planned on getting her gun and shooting him but somewhere deep down she stopped herself and knelt in front of Abaddon and leaned in close to him.
"I just wish you could learn to love me. I know it sounds stupid, but I didn't mind the idea of an arranged marriage. It almost made things normal for me. It reminded me of home. Can't you just love me? Even for just a minute. I know you can't. It just sucks. I can dream right?" She pleaded as she pressed her forhead against his as tears continued to cascade down her cheeks.

Abaddon let out a sigh and cupped the left side of Mei's face with his right hand.
"You know it doesn't work that way. he replied, "If I had known you felt this way, I wouldn't have pulled that stunt with Az. I wouldn't have been so cruel to you if I knew that this scheme would hurt you. I do love you Mei, just not in the way you want right now. I am not going to pretend we will end up together someday either because that will just hurt you more later. I will always be here for you. I will always be your friend. Can that be enough? If you want I can go tell Az the truth and I can cancel my date with Liz tonight. But understand that I do wanna date Liz and see where it goes even though I know it could potentially crash and burn because of who and what I am. I can wait a while if it means that much to you. Tell me what you want me to do, just understand I won't fake a relationship just to make this go away."

No more surprises, promise me that. I can deal with being just friends if you can promise to at least do right by me. I don't care about what you say or do to anyone else. Okay?
