Yosei took shorter then the time Hinata said it would take it get there. She had arrive just outside of it and walked the rest of the way. Maybe she was concern about getting back and assisting the injured or maybe going to the Confined Room. She looked at the girl in her arm. Still sleeping in her arm as she cuddled into Yosei's chest. She was going to admit it: she didn't want to see the girl awake and hear her asking about her parents. She felt sorry for the girl. She had lost her parents along time ago. Long before she died.
She walked up to the Estate. The servants looked at her holding Eko's sleeping child, her slightly arrayed hair and torn clothes but the clothes was recognized as a seated member of the same team as Hinata. She was brought into estate...

A servant that looked like she was in charge stepped forward and took the girl from Yosei gently. "Lady Hinata must have sent you. She informed me of the situation via a small transceiver in her family ring. Please... go, we will take good care of the child. Please, be safe. And watch out for the lady... right now she'll be rash and vulnerable." After being offered some water and an apple, Yosei was shown the door for when she was prepared.

Yosei didn't talk when Sora was taking from her arms. At least the servants knew that she was coming. It seemed like their concern -if the one in charge was the collective view of the others- was on Hinata and at the moment her well being. That was understandable..To have such an estate, she had to be someone of importance as she telling her earlier before..
Yosei from taken from her thoughts when she was given some water and an apple and then had her attention pointed to the door. It was evident that her stay was intended to be short. Part of her wanted to stay with Sora but hearing the woman speak, she had a feeling that this wasn't up for negotiation. Not wanting to argue, she pocketed the apple, not feeling hungry at the moment. But the water was drained until the cup was near bone dry. The liquid soothing the soreness of her throat.
She bowed and walked out of the door. She was stuck with going back to the gardens or going straight to the Confined Room... She wondered where she would be needed....
She sighed, with a her Shunpo, her presence was felt and then gone.

I have placed many things in the hands of others...
And I have lost them all.
Hinata, for the past two weeks, had taken care of Sora and Eko as best she could. Sora had since learned of her mother's death, and had taken it horribly hard. She was still easier to care for than Eko, who refused to get up off the couch, other than to bathe or use the restroom. She tried to get him to eat... but he wouldn't touch any of his meals unless Sora was around (She still ate voraciously), so Hinata had taken to serving their meals together. It was a nice feeling, being needed like this again, as a motherly figure. But it wasn't right... it didn't feel natural. At least not to her. She was beginning to miss her duties as third seat. Even the paperwork seemed appealing.
Speaking of paperwork, she had sent word to Yosei for her paperwork, and Eko's. She would get it all out of the way while she took care of Eko and Sora. Speaking of those two... they were both on the couch, napping. Sora had fallen asleep first, and Eko right after her. She stood there with her hands on her hips and her head shaking back and forth. "Oh boy... what am I going to do with you two? You're not going to be able to nap like this forever... things are getting bad out there." Her words, she knew, fell on def ears. But she needed to say it anyway. She knew full well what was going on with the Gotei. Even when on temporary leave, she kept up with current events and read as many documents as she was authorized to read.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

Yosei carried the stacks of paperwork that was to be delivered to the Seshiro Estate where her Lieutenant and Third Seat members were residing at. The last two weeks had been more or less hectic. She was pulling her weight more than ever to make up for the lacking of two seats. Between that, her own duties and training, she had had plenty on her plate. But she didn't complain. Not that she would be heard complained as she made that she could relieve as much pressure off Antonio and the others as much as she could. There was so much going on in the Gotei that she didn't even know to belong at. But that wouldn't be her concern until it needed to be. Currently her captain was at a meeting with the others. Possibly to deal with this situation.
Yosei looked at the Estate as she arrived once more. As she went up the stairs and knocked to announce her arrival. She really hoped that the head maid of the house won't answer... She had a feeling the lady didn't like her all that well... Or maybe it was the timing but still....

Hinata herself answered the door, allowing Yosei to enter the home with a wave. She was greeted with a massive stack of paperwork, which she took easily. "C'mon in! So... how is Antonio doing with the squad?" She placed the paperwork harshly down on a table before turning with a huff towards Yosei. "I imagine it must be very difficult for him... if you see him today after his meeting, tell him I will be returning to work within two day's time, with all of mine and Eko's paperwork done, ok? Good! Now... how are you holding up?" She was smiling, but the tone of her question was direct and to the point. Obviously one of concern, but also obvious that she wouldn't get out without answering the question.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲§▲ It was time to awaken. Slowly, Eko let Sora fall gently onto the couch, the little girl curling up on the closest pillow as he stretched, his arms and back cracking. Slowly, he walked into the bathroom, washing his face and wetting his hair. There were lines under his eyes, simply from wear. He had slept so much but he could do so little...at least that was what he felt. His hands felt awful and he himself.....just felt old. With a sigh, he slowly walked out of the bathroom, buckling on his Zanpakutos. During the two weeks, he had broken the first seal fully and faced the Seal Guardian...it was the anticlimactic confrontation. He had to deal with grief....so he was told. In that moment, Eko had felt the wear...and that was why he did not rise from the bed. So now, Eko simply walked out to Hinata, himself looking slightly taken care of. His eyes were still dark but that wasn't going to leave on its own. "What's been happening, Hinata. Get me back in the game."

Yosei sighed with relief to see Hinata rather than the other lady. She was ushered inside as Hinata took the papers that were for her and Eko. She was given an amount of questions to answer about what was happening with the squad since they took their leave. The first being how the Captain was before asking how she was doing herself. She answered them in the order that they came.
"The Captain is handling the squad the best he can..." She took little breaks between each sentence. "Some 'hiccups' I believe they're called have occurred but it's being handed as well speak..... The Captain is in a meeting with the others..... Apparently there are some 'concerns' among them..... He told me not to worry about the meeting....but I hear things when they think I can't.... A blessing and curse I get is the term right..."
She then shook her head. "I've been doing well." She decided to change the subject. "Training..Making myself busy and trying to relieve some of the... mundane problems for the Captain....so his concern can be on the more problematic situations." She took a breath. "Nothing that I can say is bad.."
Her attention went to Eko. She bowed to greet him. She wanted to speak but she had used up her voice enough. It was starting to hurt now. She could use something to drink..

And I have lost them all.
The white haired woman nodded and smiled as Yosei told her that she and the captain were doing well enough. "That is good to hear. Rumors have been abound lately of dissension and even flat out treachery in the ranks... I guess I'll learn more from all of this paperwork, won't I?" She looked at it sadly and shook her head. There was so much of it there, even for her and Eko's respective positions... reviewing it in detail would bring her up to speed. What she didn't expect was Eko getting up and requesting to be brought up to speed. "All in due time... for now, Yosei deserves a break. Come in and sit on the couch, I'll prepare us all some tea. And you, Eko, get a start on your paperwork, or else I'll give Sora a can of Soda and make you catch her. You don't want to deal with that, now do you? Hehehe!" Without waiting for anyone to speak or respond, Hinata vanished around a corner into the kitchen.
Her goal was both to make tea and to make Eko and Yosei talk to one another while she was gone. She busied herself with a pot and four traditional tea cups. A few minutes later the water would be done boiling and she would check on Eko and Yosei. Till then, conversation was their prerogative.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.

Yosei blinked as Hinata suddenly told her to take a break. Telling her to sit on the couch, Yosei didn't know what to make of this at all. She was silent as she sat down on the couch as Hinata suggested that she would go make tea while she sat and Eko got started on the paperwork under the threat of a hyperactive child that she would unleash for him to capture. And with that, Hinata was in the kitchen, leaving herself alone with Eko.
Yosei stole glances at the older man, this would be the first time the two were alone ever. She didn't know what to say to the man. Part of her wanted to let him just friend his paperwork. Or maybe she would take her leave. But she had a funny feeling that Hinata would come after her. Yosei fiddled with her fingers in her lap as she cleared her throat.
"Lieutenant...." she said quietly as well as nervous. "Ho... H-hhow...How are you doing...sir?"

His hands gripped into fists as he returned to the living room, sitting by his daughter and stroking her hair. As Yosei spoke to him, his eyes rose and narrowed before relaxing. "I've been better Yosei...and yourself?"

Yosei flinched a little as Eko responded to her and then asked a question of her own. "I've been better as well.." she responded, "I've been busy making sure thing don't get too hectic and lending a hand when I can."
Yosei bit her lip as she sat beside him. She wasn't sure what to say once more... She didn't want to mention his wife. So there was no way she could express her grief to him or well as her condolence. "I've been keeping up with my training despite the workload. I can't fall behind...

With that, he stood and laughed, as he read the reports...he had fallen behind indeed. It was unlike Eko but it seemed something had changed between the man...it was just unknown what. He was somber...but there was something more serious...and alive within him. Like a flame had been firmly lit. His eyes wandered back to his sleeping daughter before his hands tightened. "I have fallen behind, Yosei." he said out loud, his eyes glowing, "And I'm going to catch back up." His eyes looked back at Sora once more...his daughter...his one connection to Kaori that he had left. How he loved the both of them...how he would go through whatever pain he had to endure in order to protect his little girl. His most precious thing. I have to face the music. His hands unclenched as he looked where Hinata had vanished. "Tell them both I've gone to work." He told Yosei, his eyes narrowing and hiding the flame he held within. Something had snapped or changed within Eko...and only time would tell what. In that moment, he vanished as the shadows enveloped him. (Exit)

Hinata continued making her tea, listening to the conversation, or what there was of it, between Eko and Yosei. There was a heater vent in the floor in the corner of the kitchen that connected not far from where Eko and Yosei stood. As Eko spoke, Hinata could tell simply from his tone that he had snapped out of his funk. He was still mourning the loss of his wife, and most likely always would... but for now he had the will to fight again. As the steam from the tea kettle began to whistle, Hinata felt Eko vanish; and she just simply smiled.
A moment later, Hinata came out with a kettle, three cups, and several choices of tea. "Well now that he's got his head out of his a**, he should be just fine. Now, let's have that tea. Would you be a dear and wake up Sora for me?" She smiled and set down the tray on the table infront of the couch where Sora lay. Then she went over and claimed her half of the paperwork, taking it with her back to a chair near the table. "So much to do... so little time. Please, enjoy some tea while I do my paperwork. Just put the tea leaves into your cup and pour the water into it. These are all rare teas from all over the human world. I like the red one myself. Hehehe..." Speaking of, she then preceded to make her tea in the fashion that she had told Yosei about.
But whatever I have placed in my own hands...
That is what I still possess.
