FOR MOIRA AND MARZENA gaia_star LOCATION: The Janitor's Room (waste disposal section) gaia_star STATUS EFFECT: Another day at Amityville, another day- oh huh. What's this. Was this chute always HEEEEEEEEERE- - As Marzena wakes up from being sucked into a vaccuum chute, she realizes that she's in what happens to look like a garbage dump and then some. Oh look, there are trash bots (automated trash robots that dispose of trash) milling all about. Oh look, there's another another - wait someone else? gaia_star BONUS CONDITION: Moira got sucked into her own invention as well (the Vacuumatic 10, 000). They must now use teamwork by destroying exactly three trashbots to create a makeshift ladder and get out of there!
Marzena had been on the way to the library to get some studying done; there was a lot she needed to catch up on, when she had been suddenly yanked by an unseen force and knocked unconscious.
When she awoke, she found herself in what seemed to be a garbage dump. It certainly smelled and looked like it... and the selkie couldn't help wrinkling her nose in disgust. While struggling to get up, a movement in the corner caught her eye and...
Robots. Actually, they were everywhere. And there were lots of them. And they were really huge and sort of intimidating, but Marzena very sternly told herself that there was nothing to be afraid of. Right?
"Where am I?" The selkie whispered, scanning the area. There had to be a way to get out of... whatever this place was! Sosiqui Here you go! biggrin <333

There were indeed a whole lot of Trashbots, trundling everywhere with armfuls of garbage, which they seemed to be dumping at random. Overhead was nothing but a cavern ceiling, just barely visible in the bad lighting. Strangest of all, though, were the odd tubes that stuck out of the wall at intervals. Every so often, a horrible noise would sound just before a pile of stuff came flying out of the tube. Not all trash, either. Was that a school desk? A minipet? What?
"Stop that!" came a vexed-sounding voice. Then a clang like metal hitting metal. A moment later, a large approaching Trashbot was suddenly lifted out of the way by an unseen force and dropped unceremoniously somewhere else. "Reduce the suction by a factor of two - I said two, not ten!"
And then something small and black and very much alive landed on Marzena's head.

It was all very strange.
The sudden noise made her jolt when she first heard it, and Marzena had to duck when stuff came flying out. After a while, she had gotten somewhat used to it, and had to be careful that she wasn't standing where a tube could spurt things at her. And was it just her, or was that a minipet? Since when was a minipet trash?
...Since when was she trash? She would be more insulted if she wasn't convinced it was some sort of mistake. Somehow, she had managed to slide down one of those tubes. And yet, there was an unnerving feeling deep in her stomach; was she really that bad with directions that she had landed herself in the garbage dump?
There was someone else in here!! Marzena felt a sense of relief, and turned, though she was unsure of just what she was seeing. And feeling.
Something landed her on her hand and she let out a sharp gasp, and then screamed when she realized it was moving. Hands tried to get a hold on whatever the thing was on her head, as she tried to calm herself down, furious at herself for getting terrified. "What... hey! Get off! Please!"

The poison headcrab made a terrified noise of its own and tried to jump free, flailing all four of its limbs.
"Gordon! I'm comin' for ya!" came a shout, and then another figure appeared over a hill of trash, skidding down the tangled mess as if it were nothing. She jumped over a protruding broom handle and came to a stop right in front of Marzena. "Hey, now... you're not supposed to be in here, spookie," the new arrival said, though her words weren't accusing. More... apologetic. "Oh, dear. It really isn't filtering well at all. Get down from there," she added, holding out one snaggly-fingered hand.
A moment later the thing on Marzena's head let go and jumped onto the new arrival's arm, making hissy chittery noises that sounded distressed. "Yes, yes, shush, not every head is mine," she muttered, then looked back at Marzena. "I'm sorry, spookie. We'll get out of here, don't worry - the name's Moira. I'm in charge of this dump, so there's no need to fear!"

It felt really strange to have some creature who had crab-like legs on her head, and Marzena wanted it off.
Gordon? Was that the creature's name? Was it some sort of minipet? Ocean blue eyes stared at the ghoul who seemed to know... whatever this thing was. "I got sucked in here. I think. I'm not terribly sure." Marzena explained with a grimace. So this was a restricted area? It didn't sound like she was in trouble, though, which was a relief.
And yet another relief came when the thing was off her head, and Marzena ran her fingers through mussed hair. "I'm Marzena. So um, how do we get out of here?" She gestured around them.

"Ah, yeah..." Moira looked dismayed. "Sorry about that, spookie. The darn thing's supposed to filter out students, but I guess that didn't work so well. And minipets," she added, making a face as another tube roared to life and spat out a very poofy, addled-looking foxfire. "Blast."
Moira turned to Marzena and nodded firmly; the headcrab she'd rescued off Marzena's head was no resting on the zombie's hunched back, along with two others of its kind... and was that a fourth atop her own head? "I know the way out, spookie. Trouble is... well. We both kinda stink now." Moira made a face and brushed at her arms, which was rather futile considering the trash levels. "And my Trashbots, well... they don't take kindly to escapin' trash. Might have to perform a manual override."

Marzena blinked, watching as the foxfire stumbled around on its little paws, attempting to regain its balance. "So the school has a sort of... sucking system to pull trash into the dump?" Interesting. She also wondered why she had to be one of the lucky few being mistaken for trash.
At least the other ghoul seemed to be in charge of the place, along with her... crab monster things. She wasn't sure what exactly to call them; growing up in the ocean, Marzena had seen a lot of crabs before but certainly not the sort that were nested on Moira. Her nose wrinkled up again as Moira pointed out the obvious, nodding. It would take multiple washes to get the stink out of her skin, ugh.
"That... sounds dangerous." She said, eyeing the Trashbots around them with a wary eye. "You mean we have to fight them to get out of here?"

"Aw, it'll be okay, spookie!" Moira said, looking off into the distance, scanning the trashscape. "They go down easy. Relatively. And once they're deactivated, we can reach the hatchway out. Usually there's a ladder, but I think the Vacuumatic 10k um. Sucked it out of the way. But it's easy to climb out once we have stairs made of Trashbot chassis!"
Moira started shambling towards one of the far walls of the dump cavern. "C'mon, spookie!"Melodine Cantus If you would like to start, Trashbot stats: - 30 HP - Take 3 auto-damage every time you attack whether you hit or not! - We must defeat three of them to make a ladder to get out~ - As a professor-class character, Moria can attack with significant power, so don't worry if Marzena seems overwhelmed numbers-wise.

"...Relatively." Marzena mumbled to herself. While she wasn't exactly enthused about the idea of having to take down those Trashbots, they couldn't exactly sit around waiting for someone else to come and rescue them. There was no way to go about it except to grit her teeth and beat them up... before they got killed just because they smelled like trash.
Marzena followed Moira, just as a Trashbot rumbled behind her, grabbing on to her leg. "--Hey! Let go!" Instinctively, the selkie kicked out at it... and then realized it was probably quite a stupid thing to do because it was metal and pretty hard, and now her foot hurt a little.

"There ya go, spookie! You tell 'em!" Moira cheered. The Trashbot trundled towards her menacingly, raising its mechanical claws.
"Come on, now, don't tell me you don't know your mommy," she said, cheerfully. The zombie picked up a surprisingly large bit of scrap from the piles around them and chucked it right into the Trashbot's head. Or the closest thing it had to a head. "....You built those?" That actually wasn't very surprising because Moira had said that she was in charge but. Did they not come with a switch? Probably not, or she was pretty sure that Moira would have mentioned it.
She still wasn't sure she liked being stuck with having to destroy these things. But it was the only way, and she snatched up a broom handle to hit the Trashbot.
....And all that happened was a dull thunk made by attempting to smash a metal exterior. Sosiqui it's ok!! <33 I got pretty distracted with the meta too! 24 HP Damage: 0 Target HP: 10

"Oh, yes, spookie. I built all of this!" Moira gestured grandly at the... dump around them. Was she really proud of the dump?
Yes. Yes she was.
"They just get a little over-excited about trash, spookie - and we look like moving trash to them right now." She followed up her statement by slamming the Trashbot with what looked like a broken bicycle frame. "Shut down!"
The Trashbot shuddered, then went silent with a descending mechanical hum. All lights went out.
"There we go," Moira said, with satisfaction. "See, they're not so hard, spookie... oops, here comes the next one!" A second Trashbot had spotted them and was trundling their way.HP: 138/144 Damage: 10 Target HP: 0 Trashbots Destroyed: 1/3

"Well, it is quite.... impressive." Marzena replied, gaze sweeping around. And it was, she supposed. Amityville was kept rather clean, and it was probably thanks to all this. It was a bit hard to muster up more enthusiastic appreciation when she was being attacked by Trashbots who thought they were trash, though.
Gripping the broom handle tighter, she swung it at the incoming Trashbot. This time, it didn't seem to have the same effect as it did on the previous one. Thankfully.
"Maybe..." She said to Moira, keeping her eyes warily on the robot. "You should program a switch into them. Just a suggestion, but I think it would be useful... in case something like this happens. Again."HP: 21 HP Damage: 3 Target HP: 27 Trashbots Destroyed: 1/3

It's all I can do to keep up with the lot of them!" Moira sighed and shook her head before delivering a startling uppercut into the metal 'jaw' of the Trashbot. "...Oh." Marzena said with a sigh. That made sense, she supposed. But what was the use of switches when there was practically no way to get to them, if you really had to and weren't a gnome? Following Moira's lead, she swung her makeshift weapon at the Trashbot's head.
"What, do they want to build houses out of the trash or something?" The selkie wasn't really sure what strange thing the gnomes wanted to do with the rubbish that resulted in machinery being built to get rid of it instead.
