Quote: LOCATION: Allan's Room (vacated) gaia_star STATUS EFFECT: Both have their reasons to visit Allan's room, if not for the fact of asking the Sun lead a question, or simply to follow up on an -ahem- certain contract mission. The room however, is very empty. Phew. That's a good sign. They get as far as that before they realize that someone else is in the room (if Rep comes first then Clerise comes into the room, either vice-versa) and get into a conversation that perhaps gets a little heated. Just a little heated. One of them manages in their moment, to knock over Allan's entire shelf of manga. All five shelves. There's this kind of domino effect going on here. - Dear trainees: you are boned until you can put everything back in working order. Is it their imagination or do they hear Simon talking to someone right outside. gaia_star BONUS CONDITION: The manga must be aligned alphabetically. Some of them are in japanese. Feel free to use mangafox to make up manga names or skim a few pages. - Extra bonus points if they discover Allan's yaoi section. Rep tried not to bother Allan too much as a general rule, the Sun lead was usually busy with various things, things that other hunters might consider completely frivolous and or insane but which Rep considered entirely relevant Sun business. Still, sometimes he felt it was warranted and having missed out on giving presents to anyone at all at Christmas, he figured he'd come apologise in person and thank him for the advice which had helped him figure out to some extent how to deal with the issue of over-zealous charges.
He'd been running over the scenario in his head for a while, but when he actually arrived, the room was empty. Well. That was slightly awkward. He figured he could probably hang around till Allan got back, the man was amicable enough he didn't think he'd be annoyed so long as Rep was well behaved. He took in the room thoughtfully, everything about it a reflection of the man who lived there. He looked over the figures in their display cabinet before moving over to eye the books on the shelves - there were a lot of shelves. He even put on his reading glasses and picked one up from the rows to flick curiously through it.
The glasses didn't help. It was in some other language entirely, and, if skimming through it was anything to go by - ******** backwards.

Clerise almost always had a bone to pick with Allan, mostly because he was what Dwight had explained to her as an 'ota-coo'. The only reason why his stupid hobbies bothered her was because the Sun leader had started putting her in 'coz-play' outfits in the name of finding 'true suffering.' She had found a part of the outfit hidden in her room, and since it was a fancy bit of work, the Life huntress assumed he'd want it back. It was some fancy hairpieces that she'd forgotten about, shoved into a pocket and found at a later date. They looked expensive, though. Without thinking, Clerise barged through his door. "Allan? Allan! Where the ******** are you, you crazy ********?" The redhead clucked her tongue, looking around and-- "Jesus ********, are you reading that trash?"

Rep was pretty engrossed in the backwards comic in his hands, even if he couldn't understand it. Flicking through it he tried to get the jist of the plot and was on a page that really made him squint in bafflement. That was a lot of ******** sparklies and roses for one page. Nose inches from the page, he was completely taken off guard by Clerise barging into the room and almost jumped right out of his skin, half juggling the book in the air before somehow catching it with a slap between his palms.
There was no time to feel like a ninja though as he hurriedly had to defend his pride. "I'm no READING IT." he barked defensively, holding the comic to his chest like a shield, and trying to mask his absolute surprise and immediate guilt instinct with an outburst of anger. "It's no even in English!"
Realising he was hugging a sparkly comic to his bosom didn't do much for his credibility, he slammed it back onto the bookshelf - in his flustered state doing so just a little bit too hard.
The shelf tipped backwards and all he could do was look on in slow motion horror as it careened into the shelf behind, and the one behind that, and the one behind that.
Suddenly there was a whole ******** lot of books on the floor. A veritable ******** fleet of books.
It wasn't helpful.
"Ah s**t."

Clerise burst into immature giggles as soon as Rep reacted, hiding her mouth behind her hands even though it didn't do a damned thing to stop them. "You were sure lookin at it," she teased, unable to wipe the grin off her face as he got a little flustered, cuddling that book to his chest as if it were his best shot at getting laid.
Or, she thought, as the bookshelves went toppling over in a great imitation of dominoes, maybe he was more than just a little flustered.
"Dude," Clerise said after the last shelf fell, "if Allan sees this, he'll cry a little then hug them." She inched closer, surveying the wreckage with a squinty glare: books everywhere, including some that had managed to launch themselves halfway across the room. She wasn't sure how a bookshelf turned into a trebuchet, but stranger things had happened to her in her life (including some really weird bonding moments in this very room that she'd rather forget about).
The sound of a particular voice-- clipped tone, brisk pacing-- oh no.
"But if Simon sees this, we are literally going to get ******** with a rusted cactus rake."
She dropped to her knees, attempting to gather some of the weird books in her arms, stacking them into a lopsided tower.

Rep was still staring at the strewn piles of books. The mention of Allan crying was bad enough, but at the sound of someone outside, s**t got serious. "Oh fuuuck ********> he stammered, dropping to his knees alongside her and trying to salvage some of the books that had fallen in a semblance of order - at least their spines matched.
"I've been on my last ******** strike with Simon for a whiile now, I really don't want to ******** die over some sparkly comics." He picked up one that had fallen on its own, flicking through it didn't enlighten him much as to what was going on. It had some robots and a lot of guys he wasn't entirely sure were actually guys.
"How the ******** are we meant to do this?" he said, unable to keep the tone of panic out of his voice as he carried some of the manga over, set them down, stood the shelf back up, and tried to place them on. "I can't tell how the ******** they are ordered. Some of them have numbers? But a lot of them are in ******** Japanese."

Clerise winced at the idea of being on bad terms with Simon. "That is the exact opposite of any situation I want to be in," she said, yanking her fingers through her hair at the idea of trying to sort this mess. "There's five ******** shelves, how do I even--" She grabbed a messy pile, dragging them into her lap messily. Each spine had something different, and there were a variety of giant-eyed faces staring back at her, and more than a few yellow rodents, too. "Okay, well. I think. Uh." Red eyes squinted at the stack she had nearly drowned herself in. "Well, some of these look like series? So it makes sense there'd be more than one. So we could like, maybe do it two ways...One, we could group all of the numbers together and try to figure out goes to what that way? Or..." She lowered her voice as a certain monotone voice got louder outside the door. " s**t, uh, I lost my train of thought," Clerise muttered, her voice a harsh whisper. "The last time I made Allan sad I got so many death glares before I ran back in here to fix it." Shrugging helplessly, the Life huntress looked at Rep. "I guess I'll do that. Make stacks of them maybe? No idea how to tell what letters come first, though...do we even know anyone that reads Japanese? Sheeeeitttt."
