As the sun peaked high in the sky, Leilani stretched for a moment. She hadn't meant to fall asleep among the flowers, but there had been no excitement today. She was hoping someone would have been out and about, but the morning had been pretty inactive. As her eyes widened, everything started coming into focus, and Leilani suddenly realized how dry her mouth was. "Good thing the river isn't to far from here," she said to herself. As she walked over to the river, a nice breeze came across the open area, and she wondered if any flutters had been about playing in the flowers. "I wonder what the light breeze feels like to them," she thought curiously as she sipped more water.

Bellarmine stretched out his wings as he sat on a rock in his mini form. He loved basking in the warm sunlight despite it being winter. Whenever it would get to hot, he could hide under his saddle or wade his hooves in the cold river water. For better part of the day, Bellarmine had spent it in his normal size ferrying wandering humans around, letting them rest their feet a little bit.
It was weird to want to help out humans despite not being attached to one, but Bellarmine was an odd case. He wanted to be chivalrous to any that he might cross paths with, whether it be a human or tiny bug that needed some help.
Before long, Bellarmine's spot on the rock became a little bit too warm and he hid under his saddle. The dirt and grass was cool in the shade of the leather and Bellarmine just stood there, watching the wind blow the grass around.
