Neena trod at the cold air, twisting into the wind and feeling the currents below her wings as she flew. She loved this part of flying, the sheer joy and freedom in being able to travel in a way many couldn't, seeing the world from a whole new perspective. Of course, it was also quite lonely, and once she'd had her daily fill of flying she would descend, swooping down towards the ground in the hopes of seeing someone she knew, or of making a new acquiantance.
Also, she couldn't feed whilst she was flying, and as she was so often eager to greet the rising sun on the wing she would forego her breakfast to do so, and her grumbling stomach was another reason to land. She flew lower and lower, descending in great circles so that she could take the lay of land and not crash into anything or anyone when she did finally touch down.
A few minutes later she was on the ground, feeling slightly giddy as she sometimes did after a prolonged flight, her wings reluctantly folding as she wouldn't be using them for a time. She had landed in a small clearing and she walked slowly now, stopping occasionally to look and listen, before going back to her grazing, kicking at the snow underhoof to expose the cold grass underneath. It wasn't particularly nourishing but it would do. Her slow feeding eventually took her towards a small stream, and here Neena chipped off some ice that had formed by the water's edge, scooping up a bit in her mouth and sucked on it, shaking her head as the cold made her head tingle.
Again she looked around, listening, hoping to catch sight of anyone else out that morning..

Alexandre had slept silently in a patch of bushes whose leaves had long since died, the branches thankfully were not as pointed as they looked. However, when he awoke he had found himself buried under a thin layer of snow. "I shouldn't have slept in the open." He said tiredly as his senses adjusted to being awake now. His eyes were of course unable to see but he still tried to blink away his tiredness before he lifted himself up onto his hooves and shook off the snow. When all the traces of snow were gone the stallion gently outstretched his wings in the morning air, feeling the small breeze move through them. It had been some time since he had flown and he welcomed the embrace of the wind.
Just as he thought about trying to fly over the treetops, low enough so he could feel them under his hooves and hopefully prevent himself from flying into something he felt his tummy grumble in protest. Alexandre couldn't help but chuckle. "Guess that's a no." He said before gingerly stepping out of the bushes, not minding their fight to keep him within their walls. Alexandre had spent a few weeks on the "land below" the mountain where he had grown up and still found himself getting used to everything. Granted, he had to admit that he was getting better at not running into tree's. "Hopefully that doesn't happen today." He smiled to himself before his ears began to turn towards what sounded like footsteps, light ones. "Mare." He whispered to himself as he came to a halt. Alexandre hadn't seen anyone in several days and the thought of some light talk over breakfast might be good. However, he worried he may frighten the mare, whoever she was. With a shrug Alexandre continued his walk to the stream, making sure to keep a distance between him and the mare just in case she didn't want company. "Good morning." He said in a friendly tone.

Neena had thought she was seeing things for a moment; she had caught the sound of something moving towards her near the stream, and after looking around she caught sight of what appeared to be a large amount of snow moving toward her! Eventually her eyes adjusted and she realised that is was a stallion, not entirely unlike herself but he had only the one set of wings.
'Morning to you to.' she replied cheerfully, glad to see someone, even if at first she hadn't been sure of what she was seeing. He was a dazzling white really, and she found herself a little silly for thinking he was snow as the snow was extremely compared to him.
'It's another chilly one. I'm glad to see someone else has braved the weather.' she commented, stamping her hooves to keep the blood flowing in her legs.

Alexandre couldn't help but smile and laugh a little at her reply. "It is a bit chilly I suppose." He said, the ends of his wings spreading out just a bit in the wind. "I was born in raised in the mountains. It was a bit colder up there." Alexandre said with a grin. He heard her gently stamp her hooves into the ground and realized that to her, this weather was probably a lot colder to her. With light footsteps Alexandre made his way just a little closer, just enough so that he could at least block some of the wind. "My name is Alexandre." Alexandre said, bowing a little. "Where are you from miss?"

'A bit?!' Neena echoed, but laughed.
'I shall have icicles forming on the end of my wings if I don't keep active. Though, I should really be used to it, I do fly pretty high, I guess the joy of flying keeps me warm.'
She flicked an ear, wondering why he was moving closer, and then realised that he was being kind and acting like a sort of windbreaker. She rustled her wings, and responded with her own name.
'Neena, pleased to meet you. I don't really have a fixed home, no family or herd so I sort of live where I want.'
