The mountain has a cave that tunnels through the mountain region and exits a cave mouth of the mountains in Sunderland just off to the right of The Wardwood.

Alice grew up in Salara with her mother, father, and adopted brother Daniel. She considers Daniel to be her brother even though he looks different. They had a small plot of land that had a house, a barn and a good sized farm plot. The house had two bedrooms and an attic. Alice and Daniel shared a room the had two single beds and two trunks for their clothes. Alice normally wore boots, pants and a tunic like top when around the house doing her chores. She had to help her mother tend to the animals in the barn; four horses, two cows and a dozen or so of chickens, then tend to her small herb garden and go back in to clean and finally get food going. Her days were rough and Dan thought he had it hard, she only got to rest when she was eating. Harvest Feast was coming up and she was chosen as the harvest Maiden, an honorary title of a lucky woman chosen to be favored by the gods and goddess of the season. The deities spoke their word through the village priestess
Alice had to make a dress that was favorable to the gods and goddess and wear the dress for the festival and the parade that preceded kick the events off.
The day of the festival cam and Alice was paraded through on the priestess's float. She was the center of attention all day and treated like a princess all day. Everyone wanted to do things for her all in hope to gain the favor and attention of the gods and goddess for the next year. But the one person she had hoped to see at the feast was not there, her brother Daniel. She wanted to leave to find him but the priestess halted her in mid stride, and told her that they would look for him after the feast. Alice wasn't thrilled but headed out to the grounds where a large about of food was being cooked and games and contests happening as well as villagers selling wares. The Sun was setting and the Feast would start. Alice took her place at the table, standing next to the priestess who introduced her as the Maiden of the Harvest season and she was prompted to say a blessing over the food that was to be served and those that shared the meal with her. She took her and was served first by one of the cooks. Everyone else then got up to form a line and get their food.
After all was said and done the Harvest Moon Dance started, but Alice took off, not staying for another moment with out searching for her brother. The priestess chased after her and begged her to come back. Alice refused and told the priestess that she could go back alone or follow her.
Alice found Daniel just about to enter the forbidden cave. Now the priestess was forced to go with and Alice tried to stop Daniel from leaving but failed and followed him into the cave with the priestess in tow. It took two days and several hours to traverse the vast cave system. Once out they found them selves in a lush green field unlike any that they have seen before at home.
The trio walked a ways and found a small village on a beach that they too soon called home.
