The open sky and the crystalline, clear blue that was the entire sky soothed and relaxed Arashi in ways that she could never truly explain to another; but here she was, laying in the decently short savannah grasses with her stomach to the sky and her paws tucked in tightly to her chest as her green eyes grew comfortably wider and scanned the bright blue afternoon skies for absolutely anything, maybe even a star. Even though she already knew it was much too early in the day for stars.
All was quiet and peaceful. Her stomach and other insides were still and quiet, her heart beat at a slowed and serene pace, and there wasn't the fresher scent of any other feline or canine in any direction. Prey animals like gazelle grazed in her vicinity, but at such a distance that even with a roaring stomach they would be safe enough from Arashi for a while.
Nothing was bothering the more serious cheetah in the least, not even any kinds of thoughts; other than her thoughts of admiring the open skies, of course. Not even her scattered family, the very scare and few others she had brief meet and greets or rustles with, not even the bothersome thought about when she might even eat next. Just her, herself, and the wide open skies and savannah that she loved so much.
Just as it should be. Just as she trusted.

Belessi was a stranger to bad days and the arch-nemesis of everything dreary. She stood out in the storm awaiting the rainbow. Figuratively speaking. Dark skies were a harbinger of the rain and the clouds were white, fluffy, and harmless. There would be no downpour today.
An imaginary raincloud was brewing, though. It hung over the head of a cheetah couchant in the grass up ahead, ironically colored with only greys herself.
Lessi supposed she shouldn't go assuming other cheetahs were grouchy just because they were still.
"Hello over there!" she called.

Arashi heard her before she smelled her.
Slightly spooked and surprised, Arashi swiftly made a complete 180 and slammed her paws softly upon the ground, shooting herself up onto her paws somewhat rigidly and facing the newcomer. She stared her down and sized her up, although her eyes were not aggressive, for that was simply not who she was; however, they clearly reflected wariness and caution as they took in the new female cheetah.
She couldn't help but to lock gazes with the new female and search the depths of her bright blue eyes, both to do her best to read her inner most ideas and thoughts as well as she was finding herself absolutely captivated by their beauty. Their color reminded her of the open skies she loved way too much, the very same ones she was just observing moments beforehand.
"Hello there, Miss," she responded to her greeting rather gruffly, however not aggressively. Her survival aspect of her mind was still a bit stunned from being "snuck up" upon.Hopefolly I apologize for the really long wait! :C School started a week and a half ago and it made it much too difficult to write and focus on my RP's. Saturdays and Sundays will probably be my catch-up days for now!
