 Arei: -Shifts through the trees as a pale light flutters down from between them. She made certain not to let any of it touch her fur. Her eyes were dark and unreadable. This was how she had spent most of her days anymore, just staring at the sky.-
|

 Surusumi's wings were stretched out as far as they could go as she soared through the sky. The sunbeams peeking through the clouds delighted her, and she giggled happily to herself as she glided along. Beneath her, the vast, dark expanse of water sat eerily still. She peered down at it for a moment, and then promptly turned her face back toward the warm sun. She twisted and turned, playing on the air currents. Before long, the terrain began to change, and she saw a tree jutting out from a cliff. Upon further inspection, she noticed it had someone in it, and she swooped in closer to find out more.

Blade kept his perch, a figure catching his attention making movements in the tree's bellow, how tempting it was to be nosy but it was of no business to him. Though as he tracks the shifting of the tree's illuminated by the sun beating down on them he completely misses the other swooping and getting so close.

Surusumi fluttered into the treetop behind the stranger while he was looking the other way. She sat and surveyed the land around from her new vantage point for several moments. ::What'cha doing up here by yourself?:: she asked suddenly.

The sudden sound of words made his ears p***k to attention as he calmly managed to maintain his balance on the branch, had he been so distracted with whatever was moving down there he had missed the others arrival? Apparently so, and he scolded himself for it though he let his demur continue as it was without looking around "So it speaks." He tried to pull of calmly, no reason this other need know he was caught off guard. "I was enjoying some time alone."

:: Oh, sorry about that, I didn't mean to interrupt.:: She wondered if she should stay or leave the stranger to his peace and quiet. This tree was in just the right spot to get a slight breeze, rustling the leaves soothingly. She closed her eyes and smiled.

Shaking his head the quarry bellow seemed to stopped its movement and he let out a breath "Bit late now." Turning his head carefully he let the breeze keep him steady as he looked directly at the other with her eyes closed it looked like she had no intention of leaving.

She snorted at the stranger. :: I suppose it is. Life has a funny way of making things happen when you're not expecting it...maybe we were supposed to meet today.::

"Perhaps" He rolled his eyes and went back to looking out over the great distance that was visible from this height. "Life wouldn't have an understanding of privacy either... I would imagine." Blade whispered into the subtle breeze.

Surusumi's keen hearing picked up the stranger's whisper. She nodded to herself and fluffed her feathers before sitting quietly on her perch.

A few moments or minutes seem to pass before he started to feel awkward, was he supposed to amuse this female that he wasn't even keen on being here? He liked his spot so he wasn't moving till thirst or hunger set in and she really didn't seem to be moving, maybe if he continued to ignore her she would get bored and wander off? But then that'd just cause him discomfort so letting out a sigh he decided to turn his body full on in her direction "So. As I seem to have your company, do you uh want to talk?"

She opened one eye at the sound of his voice. ::If you're alright with that,:: she said as she smiled slightly. Although she enjoyed soaring across the sky by herself, Surusumi had been thinking lately how she could really use some company.

Resisting the urge to swivel his hoof or do anything to avoid the mare he kept himself strong, he may not want her company but if he had to have it he'd bloody do it properly, or try. "Alright? Sure why not..." He trailed off, even if he wanted to he didn't think he'd ever have a change of tone, he liked being alone and that was just ok with him. "So..." He thought about what to say, what was it stars talked about? Flying, the weather? This really wasn't his speciality.
