If a follower of a God would like to leave their God's service, they can at any time. However keep in mind that once you leave a God's service, they will not be so willing to take you back afterwords. In addition, going to any new God would result in a bit of reluctance on the new God's behalf, yet they can allow your Pockettu to follow them if the plea is good enough.
In order to leave your Pockettu must go to the God's shrine and state their leave using the forum provided in the next post below.
In-Active Gods are unable to curse any Pockettu beyond the predetermined HP issues. Their followers simply have felt abandoned and are either choosing to no longer believe or find a new way in life.
Demi-Gods are required to stay loyal to their God so long as their God is active. The only way one may leave their active God's service is through a lot of RP / drama / etc. So once your Demi-God signs up to follow a God, be sure before hand that's who you want them to serve. If a god is inactive then a demi-god can muster their courage and break ties with their God. However, doing so will weaken them considerably until they can find a new God to serve and acquire power from. Their Domain will remain the same and cannot change.

A Pockettu who has recently fallen out of service of a God will have their HP halved and it will remain this way up until 3 months after their leave or until they find a new God to follow. Consider it a God's wrath for being betrayed.
A Demi-God will have a longer span of half HP, running a total of 5 months.

In addition -- Demi gods can have small groups of their own followers. Think of it like a unit they can order around. When it comes down to it though they all follow their God.
