To be on the wing was a pleasure that Sproutling tried to enjoy every day. Swooping and gliding, it was fun, it was satisfying, it helped him see much of the world. As the god of Healthy Living, he didn't get much to do--it wasn't like he was the god of photosynthesis, who had to work 24/7/365--he just represented exercise and eating right. It was a soft gig, he enjoyed the bossiness and superiority it allowed him to exert, and it gave him plenty of time to garden and chat with people. Not that he had many people to chat with. Maybe someday that would change. Maybe. But he wasn't allowing that to worry him for now.
For now, he was just enjoying the cool, icy winter weather. Well, those weren't the words he'd use--he'd use the words "brisk," or "nippy" or something. Something that implied that he wasn't afraid to get his blood running this early in the day in this weather. Temperature didn't frighten him. It might frighten his vegetable garden, but that didn't mean it frightened him, not one bit. Looking down below, he spotted what appeared to be a moving dot. Someone else who wasn't afraid of the temperature! He swooped in closer to get a better look.

Zariah needed to clear her head. She had been meeting so many Noodles lately, and her duties had been ramped up tenfold. Most of the royalty work had been laid on her shoulders to prepare her for when she was Queen, and one of her preparations was to go out into the world and know what was out there. Meet other Noodles that she would probably never see again. Form allies and know her enemies. She had already met a sort-of-Prince, a God who seemed to bored of everything, a very wealthy and powerful Noodle that was sure she would see again, and through all of her encounters her father was pushing her for details about romance. He always seemed more interested in his daughters love life, despite what he made things out to be. She was just tired of it all. What the King failed to notice was that on top of everything he laid out for her to do, she didn't just rule her Noodles. She friended them. She went out into the village, she told stories to the kits, gossiped with the wives, hunted with the husbands, nursed the elders and took care of the sick. She didn't have time for love, nor for the silliness of her fathers shenanigans. So Zariah had went out to get her head clear. The crisp weather and the snow beneath her paws helped her chill out. Sometimes, she hated being a Princess...

As Sproutling got closer, he could see that the stranger was a female dressed in heavy furs and looking like she was in a bad mood. Probably not a good idea to bother her. But then again, Sproutling wasn't the god of good ideas, prudence, or not-getting-your-head-ripped-off. Besides, venting was a psychologically healthy thing to do. And she looked like she needed to vent pretty badly. Fine, then. He'd let her vent. And he'd get to talking to someone.
He landed on the ground next to her. "Good morning!" he called out cheerfully. "I haven't seen you around before--where are you from?" Even if it pissed her off, he could use that as an opportunity to let her vent. He was feeling friendly this morning for some reason. Maybe he was encouraged by the fact that someone was going out for a walk this morning instead of sitting on their tail drinking hot drinks around a fire like some people he could mention.

The Princess had not been paying attention to her surroundings, as she really should have, so when suddenly this large male was beside her she yelped, jumped back, and drew her bow and arrow in a flash.
"Oh for the love of bowls!" Zariah breathed when she quickly realized her company was a Deity. "My deepest apologies, Sir." She quickly put away her weapons, and gave a bow before actually really looking at him. He was quite the bold looking fox giving the surroundings, and she was doubly ashamed she didn't see such deep greens and lush tan wings miles away.
Taking a deep breath, she put herself back in her Princess mentality. Even when she tried to take a break, she ended up on duty again. Oh well.
"Good morning to you as well! My name is Zariah, I am Princess of a village a little ways from here. Rarely do I travel in this direction, though~" Which is why she picked it today, it would be the last direction her father would send the guards she shook off to look for her.

"Sir" was not a title that Sproutling was accustomed to. Some gods were; usually the ones who had been worshiped from an early age. Sproutling, however, had spent most of his life being asked, "You're the god of what?!" by everyone he met. Worship? No. He had never been worshiped by anyone by any reason. With the possible exception of dieters, but he hadn't yet heard a prayer, so that didn't count, did it? No, "sir" was not on his list of titles, unless someone was selling him something. Normally it was just "Sproutling," or "you," or "you OCD dimwit" followed by some order to get out the kitchen or to pass someone a trowel. It actually took him a few moments to realize why he was being addressed as such.
Oh. Right. God. Huh. Weird. Well, go with the flow and whatnot, right? He just hoped she wouldn't react like everyone did to his domain. If she asked. Which she probably would. "I am Sproutling, and I don't think I've ever flown this far," he said. He must have flown pretty far. He'd started his flight ages ago, and he'd been flying pretty high. Also, princesses. He didn't think he'd ever heard of any princesses anywhere near the shop, and he had always lived near the shop. "It is a pleasure to meet you, your Highness." He added a low bow, on account of he had no idea how low a bow he was supposed to make to a member of the royalty. Meh, better low bow than getting your height permanently lowered by a foot or two. He couldn't remember what the death protocol for gods was, but he didn't want to be incarnated all over again. That would just be too inconvenient.
