When they got to HalloweenTown in their new bodies, Gale, Jake, and Sherry would find themselves just on the outskirts of the Dark Forest, half hidden by the trees.
Gale, to his great irritation, found himself in the unbelievably tiny body of a four foot five female vampire with dark, curly brown hair, red eyes, and dressed in a pair of black pants and a black turtleneck sweater.
He sighed.
"Everyone okay?"

Jake was SO not used to this, and he was staring down at his hands... or claws, frowning. The only upside to this was that he was TALL, a lot taller than normal, but... WHAT THE HELL. His skin was a sickly pale purple, he had wings, horns, a TAIL, and worst of all, he was wearing nothing more than a pair of black pants. Did the pod randomize their clothes too?
When he arrived, he looked around for the other two, and hearing Gale's voice, turned around... to see nothing.
Jake would have never believed the tiny female vampire had been the short blond hunter a moment ago had he not heard his voice.
Stifling his laughter, he snorted. "That thing really suits you, runt."
[Jake is a 7-foot male Incubus]

The first thing Sherry did was examine her golem. Figuring out who or what she was supposed to be was key, right? If one had any hope of fitting in anyway. Her golem was wearing a large, loose jacket, almost like a fancy robe. From this vantage, she could see it was trimmed in blue and gold. Under that, she found bandages. Bandages everywhere. Her arms, her chest, her feet...it appeared that other than some fancy, robe matching shorts, she was wearing nothing but bandages. She was also male. That was new. Sherry deduced that she was a male mummy, of Egyptian origin. Looking at her companions, she saw that she towered over the female golem, and was at least as tall as the purple one. Judging from attitudes and voices, she had a pretty good idea of who was who. "Just fine," she replied. The movement of her jaw alerted her to the fact that bandages covered her face, too. "Where to next?"

"Say what you want about it, but even in this form I could still kick your arse from here to outer Mongolia," said Gale coolly, without even looking at Jake. He glanced over at Sherry briefly, to make sure she was all right, and then straightened his shoulders, pushing dark brown hair over one of them.
"Welcome to Amityville High," said Gale. "Sherry, you've obviously been here before, but Jake this is where those creatures we hunt come to. This is also where weapon candidates are picked from, though that's not the intent today. The Death Division is responsible for information gathering. I happen to be the Death Division Specialist for Special Ops. Besides that meaning I have sway over certain people - " He (or she, rather) gave Jake a meaningful look here. " - that also means that I do recon missions for Headquarters. Specifically, I look for information on the Horsemen. What we're doing here is gathering information for that purpose. Sherry, I know you're not Death, but Life Hunters are involved in sorting information and research, so the two Divisions help to balance one another out."
A pause. "Any questions so far?"

"I'd like to see you try, half-pint," he scoffed, crossing his arms.
Rolling his eyes, he made no further comments as he listened to Gale's explanation. Amityville High? Sounded like a high school or something.
He frowned.
He already sorta knew about the weapon candidate process, or, well, somewhat witnessed another hunter interviewing one of the Halloween creatures. Remembering the snarky female hunter only made him grimace.
Gale's look only received another snort. As if. Special ops, huh? Well, the squirt was small enough that no one would notice him.
Mention of the horsemen managed to capture his attention, and not being able to help himself, he let out a snarl. Those damn horsemen. One of these days...
"So what, are we here to interrogate the horsemen or something, posing as Halloween students?"

Sherry rolled her golem's yellowed eyes. And Jake gave her grief about not taking things seriously. She knew he liked to pick fights with everyone, but she'd thought he'd have learned not to do such things on missions. She almost said something, but they were working. Instead, she listened with interest to Gale's explanation. Special Ops? Neat. "I've always been curious about the gathering side of the information." She placed one hand on her hip, standing very much like she normally did. "I'm with you so far," she nodded.

"Jake, if you snort any more you're going to need a bridle and a saddle," said Gale delicately before he turned to Sherry, giving her a small nod. "Yes, so basically what we're doing here is gathering information from the horsemen. Now be warned - the horsemen are loyal only to themselves. They're a rather selfish lot, so don't press them too hard, otherwise they'll get irritated and close up."
He put his hands on his hips. "We all clear?"

"I only snorted twice, you blood-sucking midget." Jake huffed, and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Basically, don't get all up in their space, but figure out how to get them to open up." He really had a way of wordings things.

Sherry rolled her golem eyes. Clearly these two together...Well. Sherry didn't want to jump to conclusions. Maybe Jake would stop being so grumpy or whatever. Wait, no. She knew better. Well. She could try not to make it worse, at any rate. "Yep, clear," she nodded. Hopefully she wouldn't mess this up. Armagnac sounded a bit bored.
