The Eight Phases, or "Cursed Wave" as some refer to them, are 8 artificial beings of highly notable power, created in the ancient past by what are assumed to be progenitors of the younger races. Each one of these phases has been confined to special gem-like orbs of origin unknown, which seem to allow those skilled enough to channel and control their energy.
Precious little other information is currently available on these mysterious beings, other than the fact that each one carries unique and dangerous abilities, able to transcend known magical and spacial limitations. As such these beings are highly sought after by those who have knowledge of their use.
