Sitting at the otherwise empty table, one brunette hunter was happily reading up on spirits native to Scotland. It was one book of several, as the small pile next to looked to all be relating to the northern half of the UK. Her coat was over the back of her seat while she attempted to figure out just what she was reading. Nobody told her that there would be sub divisions of ghosts and fey and just… lists on lists of qualities and traits and locations and how one spirit form one area was so vastly different from another not even a mile away. Scots apparently, could be very particular about their ghosts and haunting. She hardly noticed the things going on around her, happy to just keep her nose to the book. Sure her coffee had gone cold, but it tasted the same. Sure it had gotten a bit darker because it was now late afternoon and the sun was going down. She was oblivious to it all.

Elliot found himself in the library. It was late in the afternoon, and the evening sun filled the room with warmth. It would be a good place to take a nap.
Ellie, that one. The one with the green spine and silver lettering.
He found the book and pulled it from the shelf. Elliot didn't mind books, but Falks loved them. Which presented something of a problem seeing as how his weapon/partner/bear/thing no longer had a tangible form. But, hey, that was what partners were for right? Elliot walked towards a table and was surprised to find it already occupied. By a pretty girl not less. He could feel the smile stretching across his face as he set the book down and sat down across from her.
"Magical Beings of Scotland." He read the title of the book out loud and flashed the brunette a smile.

The announcement of the book’s title had Solia quickly drawn out of her engrossed state. Brown eyes looked up, noting that now her table had two present. Herself and a stranger. A stranger who was smiling at her. Slipping a scrap of paper between the pages, Solia smiled back, book closing. “Indeed! I’m trying to tackle each country but going in depth has proven to be thus far, a bit of a…” She paused, frowning slightly. “Well it’s become a bit more difficult with the digging I do. But oh, I’m Solia! Solia Delacroix.” Hand held out, she looked to his coat, then back to him. New face, different division, he was new enough that she’d not seen his file. Or maybe she had. It have been a while since she’d last gone riffling through all the basic paperwork. “Did you need this book?” Back to the semi-subject at hand.

"Solia, I'm Elliot." He stuck his hand out in greeting, leaning over the table with a hand firmly planted on his own book. In the back of his mind he could hear Falks growling. It was amazing that, in just a few days, he had already learned which growl was a whine of annoyance, and which one was of anger. (The answer was simple, Falks was rarely angry.)
"And no, I don't need your book, I already have one," he said tapping the cover of his own book. "But if you need some help I'd be happy to offer some."

His hand offered, Solia took it, giving a small squeeze before letting go. “It’s nice to meet you Elliot! Not a lot of men in the mist division, but that might be changing it seems!” Looking at him and then at her books- “You can if you like. Since I do need to read it all myself… Hrm, maybe you could book mark pages with creatures native to the lowlands and mark differently the ones from the highlands? Or could just label their locations…” Sliding a book towards him, she shrugged. “I could offer some baked goods if you did? Er, you don’t have to of course. You probably have your own book to read which… likely is more interesting than what I have.”

"Oh?" He was surprised to hear about the Mist Division's lack of men. "Is that so? I haven't met most of the Division so I wouldn't know." Sitting down, Elliot glanced at the books Solia had motioned at.
"Sure thing, I don't mind helping a pretty girl like you, especially not when baked goods are involved." He took the top book off the pile and opened it. "Though, if you don't mind me asking, what is this research for? You heading to Scottland or something?"

A small giggle escaped her. “It’s okay. I’ve been here a while and I’ve not met all of those in the death division. Everyone is just a bit.. scattered really.” She waved a hand in the air absentmindedly, dismissing the topic. “And thank you.” A small blush on her face she did her best to not fidget at the compliment. “Just tell me the kind of things you like and I’ll bake them. And oh yes!” She opened back to where she had been. “Not headed there yet, but I when I was looking at a possible scouting mission for a place outside Glasgow, I noticed there were a lot of mixed up titles and phrases. Apparently our lore and regional location maps don’t quite pair up, leading to a bit of overlap and confusion. So I want to better categorize it. What about you though?” Eyes went to down, scanning the pages. “What are you doing really?”

"Uhh, honestly I'm just floating around. You caught my eye though so I decided to come join you!"
Elliot flashed the girl yet another smile. He really was just wandering around, mostly because he wanted a distraction. He'd found the people he'd wanted to meet but not in the condition he'd wanted to meet them in. Just the thought of Wilson and Emma made him grit his teeth.iStoleYurVamps uhhhhh... stares into distance

He is nice. Israfel cooed. The mental fluff of feathers had Solia pausing her reading, (which was more along the lines of half skimming and not really reading at all. Guys were more interesting than books). Why do you say that about everyone? Because it's true. You think much the same. Touche. "Well, how about you stop floating and fall on in? I like company, plus, you didn't answer my question!" She winked at him. "What kind of things do you want me to make for you? Cookies? Cakes?"

"You make cookies? Cakes? The whole baking thing?"
Elliot shot the girl another disarming smile. She was quite easy to get along with. That was nice. Most of the people here he'd met so far were pricklier than any cactus he'd ever seen.
"Gosh, I really don't know what to ask for. I'm sure anything you make would be delicious though."iStoleYurVamps uh..................................hi vamps..........and solia................

Solia nodded slowly. How surprising was it that she could bake? It was just pastries after all. "Well~ Let's start off simple. What is best, chocolate, vanilla, a fruit flavor, or just sugar straight?" From there she could build. The book had a small scrap of paper set in the pages before it was closed. "Once I know that can I whip something up. Maybe. People get snooty about the kitchens 'oh we don't have the ingredients for that'. Baloney. We have enough to make shitty stuff means we can make something good because really I just think the cooks down there don't know how to cook. Offering him a seat, her phone was pulled out fingers clicking away as she made a few notes for later.

"I don't know, do I seem like a chocolate kind of guy or a fruit-y kind of guy to you?"
Elliot idly turned another page in his book. It'd been a while since he'd just chatted with someone. Most of the time, everyone was too busy for that sort of thing. Immediately he thought of Wilson, and that soured his mood.

Solia smiled. "I hope not fruity! Chocolate is rich- but vanilla can be a bit boring. Mmm.. red velvet then. You seem a guy who could go for that." Rich, with a bit of cheese. (even if it was just the frosting). Her phone clicked, note taken. "If you don't mind me asking, ah, what is your weapon? I never asked, and it was a bit impolite of me to not really say hi to them either."
