Sailor Eos didn't understand the point of new years resolutions. Perhaps she was biased, because she didn't remember her last one, but she was 99.99999% certain that it would have been stupid and pointless and she'd probably given it up after barely a week. They were more like wishful thinking - sure, perhaps it seemed like a good idea to give up chocolate, but then you were faced with that giant dairy milk bar and suddenly your willpower just begins to crumble. Everyone had faults, everyone had things they wanted to fix about themselves, but without those bits you just weren't...you. Better to make a promise to yourself that you could work to and keep, and you didn't need to excuse of a new year to make one of those.
The corrupted senshi was sitting at the top of a slide in one of the children's playgrounds, on the east side of Destiny City. It was an area she was familiar with, and she briefly found herself wondering if she'd come here as a child herself. It didn't feel like she had, but she hadn't felt anything like that for a while - not since she'd run into Remarque. Not that any of that mattered anymore, that life was gone. Another casualty of this horrible, horrible war.
This year would be better, of that Eos was sure. She'd carve herself a useful niche in the Negaverse, she'd work hard to earn their trust and their respect. She would fight with every ounce of her being to bring to justice those horrid traitors of the White Moon that had to answer for each and every one of their crimes. Her legs dangling down the slide, the blonde turned her attention to the stars in the sky, a small smile touching her lips. It would be a good year, and better year than the last. Of that she was certain.
