"Oooh....", a black doe grumbled to herself as she hobbled up the cliff side. Nothing seemed to be going right at all today; she had a disagreement with one her siblings that had turned into a full-blown argument that left both sides very unhappy with one another, and to top it all off, she had injured her ankle somehow climbing up the cliff! Judgment could feel her cheeks heat up with annoyance and embarrassment, though most of it was aimed at herself. Fortunately the injury wasn't as serious, since she was still capable of walking, but it made it more difficult to climb upwards. She had decided to come up here to cool off, but it seemed to only make her bad mood worse!

After much grunting and grumbling, the doe had finally made it to the top of the cliff, and immediately slumped down leaning against a boulder. She would look at the scenery later; she had to catch her breath first and inspect her ankle. She lifted up her foreleg, moving around her ankle as she winced. It was nothing life-threatening, but still it was pretty bad. Would she even be able to make it back down tonight? Not that she really cared to, she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone tonight - especially her siblings. It was also getting dark soon, it wouldn't be wise to try and travel downhill with a bad leg. Oh well.

It was time for rest. The day had been cold, tracking through the swamp with the cold air lingering in the air. Not that Comet had minded though, the seasons had made the sun fall earlier, making the moon and stars brighten up the sky flawlessly. And it was in the evenings when he could see this sight he loved the most.

The bright buck was not unlike a star, bright, moving up to kiss the sky. It was always what he loved doing. And this night was no different with the buck climbing up his cliff easily, jumping from rock to rock, finally reaching the summit ----

"...Oh?" he looked at the dark doe with wide gray eyes, a smile appearing on his muzzle, gently walking towards her. "And might you be a fallen star?" He didn't want to scare her, his steps light and slow.

Judgment froze, her leg dropping limply to the ground as she stared at the newcomer. "Oh, uh...quite the opposite actually." she replied softly, taken aback that someone would actually be here. So much for her plans of spending her night alone. His colors were awfully bright, but it was a pleasant sort of bright. She had never seen anyone so golden...it was quite a regal sight she had to admit.

The doe glanced at her leg again, hoping she wasn't staring for too long- it was rude to do so. "A-and you are...?", she asked, her tone still soft. Her tail thumped the ground slightly, curious to know more about the buck.

He slowly made his way to her, walking around her in a circle, surveying her quietly with a smile. "Mm? Then a wishing star to grant my wishes?" his voice was rich, deep and curious. "I am Crashing Comet, dark star. This is my rock. And who might you be?" And the bright buck didn't mind the stare at the least, as he was staring right back at her, the evening falling on them, the surroundings a hazy blue already.

He moved close to see that she was having some sort of trouble, a little frown appearing on his face with how she laid there on the ground. "And while it is a wonderful surprise for me --- may I ask what are you doing in this place?" He asked softly, not wanting to insinuate that he wanted her gone at all --- because it was quite the opposite.

"No...not that either. I-I'm Judgment Calls...I'm just a normal kimeti living in the swamp.", she smiled, "I am no star." she glanced at him once more, seeing that he was walking in circles around her. She hazarded standing up, it wouldn't do much harm, but she didn't want to show weakness in front of a stranger.

She sat up, keeping her back as straight as she could. "Um...well", her voice faltered, feeling a bit embarrassed by her story, "I got into an argument with my siblings...and so I came up here to clear my head. It's very nice up here so...its a good place to relax." the doe chuckled, as she pressed her injured hoof onto the ground momentarily forgetting she had hurt it and winced.

"I am guessing you are familiar with this place?" she asked, trying to shake off the sharp pain.

"Far from normal, I would say." His expression remained serene, his eyes twinkling when he saw the mysterious doe smile back at him. The glow of her bright eyes captivated him, the markings on his own body shining subtly as the stars started to come out and watch their meeting.

"Judgement Calls." Comet repeated her name more to himself, thinking how befitting her name was for her. He nodded his head at her story, sympathizing. "Ah, family troubles. That is never easy. When I have any troubles I go up here to my private place and ---" The bright buck caught her chuckle, happy at that but the joy was brief, finally hearing the doe in pain as she stood. Immediately he moved towards her, putting his head against her in support, muzzle touching her dark coat.

"You're in pain," he said gently, looking over to the limb he assumed was injured. "Please do not move too much --" And he looked at her with concern, wishing he could take her pain away from her right that second. "It would kill me to see you hurting more." He was sincere yet again he was feeling the need to have someone with him.

"You are close to my home." He responded at her question, managing a small smile as he tried to support her.

The doe felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment, "But they're family...what can you do?", she smiled, hobbling with his help, "I'm fine...really..." Judgment locked eyes with Comet's momentarily, and blushed seeing the sincerity in his eyes. She broke eye contact, preferring to stare at the ground and their hooves instead. There was something about the buck (or any buck for that matter) that always made her so shy. She didn't know why though; there was no need to be so skittish. "Just a light sprain.", she mumbled with a smile.

"You live around here?", the doe looked back up at him curiously, "All by yourself?" At least, she was pretty sure he lived by himself, she didn't really see any other kimeti that actually lived around here. She had seen few from various herds that traveled to the cliffs, but they only stayed here for the day.

He nodded his head with a smile, yes family. Comet wasn't one to have been very close to his own brothers and sisters yet he understood family when he thought of his own daughters, momentarily reminiscing about them before his attention was focused on the injured doe again. "Oh no, no..." The golden buck shook his head when she brushed it off, though finding her attitude about it all very charming, even delicate as she looked away from him.

"Yes, Alas I do live alone here." His eyes were captivated by her bright ones, encouraging her to sit down. "By myself." A light chuckle escaped his throat, shaking his head. "But sometimes I am lucky and graced by the presence of a doe such as yourself."

"I guess you like being alone then.", she stated plainly, wondering if she had intruded on him. She certainly didn't mean to. But it didn't seem as if he had any problems with her being around, and he was being extremely cordial and sincere.

Judgment sat back down, laughing lightly, "But I am sure you have met does far luckier than I.", she cocked her head to the side slightly, smiling shyly, "They probably didn't hurt themselves getting up here." The way the buck was staring at her was making her more shy than she usually was; she was unused to this sort of attention.

Comet let out a gentle laugh at that, shaking his head. "That isn't true, I love company." he said honestly, lowering his eyes and looking back at hers. "That is why I am extremely-- pleasantly surprised to find you up here, Judgement Calls."

And he supported her the whole time as she laid back on the ground, watching her with an interested look. "Ah--" he chuckled at that, "Lucky, perhaps. But never as charming as you are." He could feel the moon and stars watch them eagerly now, the golden buck swept away by the emotion and the mood of the night as it always done to him.

His cave and resting place was actually a bit higher where they were, and he wasn't about to bring the dark doe up there especially if she was injured. "May I ... make you a place to stay here?" Comet asked with a twinkle in his eye, a gentle and steady smile on his lips. "Only if you let me. I promise nothing else horrible will befall you today, my dark maiden."

He moved towards her, kneeling beside her and slowly settling his legs on the ground, if she said no -- at least he would admire her and get to know her for now.

Judgment blushed and smiled, bashfully looking up at Comet. She felt the butterflies in her stomach flutter, "You're being too kind...", she said softly. The buck seemed to glow even brighter in the evening light, and the doe couldn't bring herself to look away.

"Huh?", her violet eyes opened wide in surprise, "I-I couldn't..." she started, shaking her head slowly, 'I-I'm sure you have other things to do! A-and you have your own home I'm sure." He was so kind, and she felt bad that she was taking advantage of him in her state. She would be fine on her own for the night. She would just make her way back down to her family first thing in the morning.

Judgment stiffened slightly when he sat down next to her, though she didn't move away from him. "Thank you for looking out for me though....you're too kind Crashing Comet."

"I'm merely giving you the proper care you deserve." he smiled, watching her charming bashful movements as she spoke. And he was thankful as she looked back at him, and he found himself staring unabashedly back.

He gave her a concerned look when she declined, bowing his head down subtly and touching his nose to her neck so gently in reassurance. "It wouldn't be any trouble for me, I do this on my own desire," And softly he nosed her injured leg before looking back up at her bright eyes. "But forgive me, Judgement Calls, I cannot leave you alone this way."

Comet moved his head to gesture to the side of the cliff, "You cannot climb up higher but -- there is a makeshift shade there, I can gather leaves to make it more comfortable for you." It seemed he had already made up his mind, the doe was too sweet, she really was. "Would you let me do this for you, dark maiden?" He stood up very slowly, watching her face as he asked the question with a smile.

Judgment took a deep breath and nodded, "Um, I guess I have no choice.", she gave him a grateful smile, bowing her head up to nose his shoulder slightly. "The shady area would be nice.", she agreed. It would give her some privacy for the night in case other kimeti passed by. And from Comet. Though she wasn't sure where he would be going after she was all prepared for the night. He wasn't going to spend the night here was he? Not that she minded or anything....

The dark doe stretched herself out, slowly moving her injured hoof so it wouldn't be too uncomfortably stiff, "I-I would actually appreciate it very much if you did do that...", thankfully she was dark in general so he wouldn't be able to see her blush. Judgment's smile couldn't help but grow a little wider and she quickly looked down abashed.

He gave no blunt suggestion if he would stay the night with her-- even though it was all his intention to. With ever fibre of his being, below the glow of the stars -- he could not stay away from the doe tonight. Of course, he was a gentleman about it in any case, wanting to know that the female was alright in his presence.

"I shall prepare it then," He smiled and nodded his head, touching his nose to her injured leg for a quick moment before he stood up slowly. "As the maiden wills it."

If she blushed, he couldn't see it. But Comet could feel her nervousness and newness at his touches and his words. It further charmed him.

"Give me a moment ..." And he moved towards the side, sliding a little from the cliff and retrieving a whole shrub of leaves in his mouth. Moving towards an area he saw fit for her (or them) to stay in, he settled the leaves on that area, crunching the greenery down as to make a softer bed for Judgement, a pleasant look on his features as he looked at her.

Judgment got up slowly, careful not to put any weight on her injured leg. She hobbled over to Comet, watching him make the bed for her. "Wow it looks very comfortable." she said, "More comfortable than my own bed at home." she laughed lightly.

It also looked slightly larger than the average bed, but she assumed that it was because the bedding was being made quickly. But bigger was better wasn't it? That way she had room to stretch out if she so wanted.

Or...

She tilted her head to the side slowly, or was it so there was space for him as well? Not that she minded or anything, he was very sweet and Judgment did like him very much. She stood there awkwardly, with her head tilted wondering what to do.
