The little fawn might have been having too much fun.. really.. he might have been. Giggles spilled from him seemingly endlessly, accompanying the splashing of the water that he disturbed. He pranced and bound, toppling from time to time to get doused by the stuff, only to roll about in it! He'd found this delightful stream that wasn't too deep, nor too wide! It had just enough water to touch his tummy if he stood in it. Not only that, it was cool. Neither hot or warm, a nice even balance.

He'd went to simply drink from it... but found himself intrigued by how it wasn't like the others that were frozen over. So fascinating ~ by now, his entire little body was drenched with the stuff, delicate legs fumbling to gather beneath him as he stood up. Water dripped from him seamlessly, his gold eyes watching with curiosity, ears flicking playfully to let some drops go flying!

User Image Echo's dark eyes scanned her surroundings. She stared at the sky momentarily before the rest of the land. The bark of the trees felt wonderful as she brushed by them. She went about on dainty hooves, exploring the forest as she went. Every little thing was interesting and every sound was vibrant. Her ears perked at a sound not too familiar and she immediately turned to investigate.

The doe wasn't sure what she had stumbled upon. Her ears had caught wind of splashing and laughter from afar and she came curiously and cautiously. Her ears swiveled about swiftly, trying to pinpoint the location of the fun. She could smell the inciting fresh water. As she peeked from the treeline, she could see a young fawn playing in the water. It must have have captivated him too. She thought, slowly stepping from the trees into sight.

"Are you having fun?" She tried to speak loud enough to be heard over his playful splashes.

He gave his tiny body a firm shaking, water flying every which way, his short fur spiking up from the sudden fast motion. Grinning in amusement, he giggled some more, looking down at his reflection in the rippling water. It was always so strange to see the distortion created! A tiny hoof lifted to paw at his double, and make it even more wiggly and wavy! this only seemed to cause more giggles to spill from the little stag.

However, he came to a pause when he heard a voice, ears perking straight up, head lifting to look right at its source. His gaze rested upon the female, and he gave a cute, bright smile, tail flicking upright, and an eager nod given, "Mhm! You should give it a try!" he chimed back to her! ....a bit oblivious that maybe this water was too shallow for one her age and size to play in..

Echo couldn't help but to laugh at the fawn. He was so energetic and full of spunk! She wandered over closer to the stream, peering in at her own double, placing her hooves in the warm water to distort the mirror image. She nodded, looking the playful fawn over. "I wouldn't mind joining in." She immersed herself, even though she couldn't get the full experience that the little stag did. The water reached just above her knees, but she made a playful attempt to splash the fawn.

Her ears perked with excitement and her dark brown eyes lit up with all the playful splashing. The doe seemed to get herself more wet with each splash intended for the little buck. "Ah~" Echo giggled, tail twitching a bit in delight. "This is really fun!"

He was more than delighted to see the adult join in, gasping, and giggling with glee. In fact he dashed straight over to her to splash about her much larger body, trying to aid in getting her doused by the water too! He gave squeaks and squeals of joy as he was splashed in turn, darting off to try and avoid, and dashing back to try and retaliate!

He paused only when she spoke, standing right in front of her, wet tail flicking behind him, whipping water about. Smiling sweetly, he nodded in agreement, "Who are you? do you come here to play in the water often?"

Echo enjoyed the warm water on her fur. She gave a good shake, sending droplets flying in every direction and causing her fur to stick up in an odd way. She laughed, smiling at the fawn as she doused him with more water. She matched his movements, hopping back and forth to dodge.

When she had stopped to catch her breath, the doe shook off more of the water. She couldn't resist the fawn's sweet smile and happily replied back to him. "Oh, I'm Echo. It's nice to meet you. Who are you?" She nodded with a smile. "Not since I was a fawn like you."

His smile remained brimming, tiny tail twitching this way and that, ears flicking once in awhile as water slid along the edge of one. "Echo! Nice to meet you! I'm Ixton!" he announced proudly, puffing his little chest up, and lifting his head with pride! ... though it wasn't all too grand given he was completely doused in water.. but still! head canting curiously, he gave her a surprised expression, "Oh, how come you do not do it now as an adult?" that was odd. If she did it as a fawn, surely she should enjoy it even more as a full grown doe! right?

Echo let herself laugh at the fawn. "Ixton is a nice name!" She nodded as he puffed out his wet chest. The playful fawn was such a delight. She was almost caught off guard by the question, but couldn't help smiling back at his brilliant smile. "I don't have anyone to play with. It gets pretty boring if you do it alone all the time, so I haven't done it in a while." She stared down at her reflection for a moment, splashing the image of herself and looked back at Ixton with a small smile. "But it's so fun splashing about with you."

He was delighted with the compliment, head lifting higher, tail flickering madly. She liked his name! That was the first time anyone had ever said that! Giggling with bliss, he stopped as she revealed that she hadn't anyone to play with.. instantly causing him to gasp, and his dainty little brows to draw in distress, "You can play with me, Echo! And my other friends! You can play with all of us!" he chirped, stepping over to her, to nose at her chest --- since that's all he could reach-- encouragingly, before looking up to give a beaming smile. "We can splash all the time!"

Ixton's laughter was highly infectious and Echo found herself giggling along. "Really Ixton?" She smiled as he nosed her chest. The doe leaned down to rest her head on his for a moment. "That would be wonderful. I'd love to play with you and your friends." She giggled at his beaming smile. "I'll have to hold you to that promise, ok?" Echo splashed him again, giving him her own bright smile.

His eyes closed as her larger head placed atop of his, enjoying the little embrace. "Then you won't have to be alone, either!" he chirped, nuzzling under her jaw, before perking up when another splash came his way. Squealing with delight, he hopped away to try and avoid it, unsuccessfully, but tried to retaliate with his own wild splashes, "Ok!" he chimed, before pausing suddenly, and shivering. Oh man it was kind of cold! and his fur wasn't as full as an adults, "Chilly!"

The doe laughed a bit at the fawn's squeal. HE really was the sweetest little fawn she had gotten to know. Echo shook her fur out sending droplets of water flying in every direction. "Maybe you should warm yourself up little on." She smiled, not as affected by the cold as fawn. "I wouldn't want you not feeling your best later on Ixton." She nodded, her smile still set on her face.
