It had been days since Shin-Mu had felt the sharp kiss of a blade against her cheek, and the unwelcome touch of filthy hands upon her body. For short days, and the slice along the curve of her cheek was on the mend. It was unsure yet if the wound would scar, the physical, and the emotional, but the Noble youth was a strong willed young lady, and pride and stubbornness had it appear as though she carried no baggage from the fateful attack just beyond the familiar path between the mountain and city. She had been stoic since that day, but no more so then she had ever been in the past. Quiet and solitude had always been found companions of the lady, and she retreated to that familiar company once again. Different though was her new found avoidance of the spiritual guardians whom she had always before sought comfort from. She knew, should she linger in their company, that they would realize their young mistress was not alone, not had she been since her return from the assault on her life. Something had entered her that day, a spirit of some long dead priestess of the past, and she had no intent to leave anytime soon. If Liu or Rong became aware they would stop at nothing to see this new passage evicted. At the moment, Shin wasn't sure if she wanted the spirit gone. she did, after all, owe her life to the knowledge provided by Mi Lee. And that had only been a taste, one small sample of all the spirit could teach her. She knew it, with a certainty she didn't quite understand, but didn't doubt. It was these heavy thoughts that weighed on the Noble's mind as wandered along the familiar streets of the city, though not alone. Not so soon after she was attacked, despite her having graduated from the academy and advancing in rank to a soul conduit two days prior. -That she had went through with her examination after the traumatic events of only days prior was impressive. Her scores even more so.- Chen, faithful servant of the Xia family, and personal escort and his to Shin-Mu, was a silent shadow in the young woman's wake. Not invading or obtrusive, but there. Though she needn't have bothered, periodically she glanced back to be sure he remained. The large figure always a constant comfort. It was then she noticed; A flash of white, pale skin, and the unmistakable glimmer of blue scales. "Veryuu?" Azure desiderium Look what I started for you~!

Her voice came to his ears, a whispery tendril reaching out to him from the constant din of the streets, as though something inside the youth was attuned to the unique tones of her voice. Turning on his heel, he found himself but strides away from the newly ascended soul conduit.
The lithe Lunarian's features had been set in their judgmental, impassive view of the world around him but moments before, viewing his surroundings with the same cynical indifference that he usually possessed, but when they settled upon the delicate Noble's dark-skinned features, a subtle softening occurred. Shin-Mu tended to have that effect on him, after all, her presence about him usually more a pleasure than ought else. The interactions between them had been nothing short of gratifying on most days, causing the aqua-scaled male to bestow far more value to her as a friend. It had been...some time since he'd seen her, having been once more embroiled with family matters, called at times to be a representative of his house - forever the honor of the eldest son.
It took him but seconds to glean what he could from her demeanor, something in his eyes going utterly frigid when he noticed the fading mark marring her skin, a concerned glance sweeping across pale scales. "Shin-Mu." He bowed then, a long-fingered hand pressed to the azure and grey of his attire...a motion that lingered just long enough to allow for propriety. One could almost see the gears turning between his temples as he acknowledged Chen with a nod. Not that it was particularly strange to see a young lady of her standing out with some form of accompaniment, but Veryuu was quite personally aware of just how very self-sufficient she could be, and there was a certain air betwixt the two just now, a very distinct level of protective watchfulness that was not lost on the blue-scaled youth. "Are you well...?" There was a further question hanging in the air, heavy and unspoken, seemingly unobtrusive niceties that were delicately coaxing for information.
A turquoise nail slid along the wide sleeves of his silvery raiment, a vexing flutter of nervousness coming in tandem disquieting suspicion. The young man's chivalrous tendencies rising like a white-hot fire in his core, turning sky-blue eyes to ice as he studied the flaxen-haired conduit. She, after all, had managed to obtain his regard, and even if she had not been a Noble maiden, he would have been keenly interested in her well-being.
If someone had hurt her...Veryuu was convinced that even the ancestors could not help them. Beejoux You're beautifuuuuuuuuul. <3

The pale haired youth turned, and fondly familiar eyes met her own pale gaze. It was him, and for a moment she stood stock still in the middle of the street as lunarians filtered around her on either side, forced to avoid the sudden roadblock she presented.
He'd been gone for months, his sudden and complete absence a uncomfortable weight on the noble maiden that held so few close to her heart. Worry had plagued her thoughts of him, and rightly so after the lack of contact between them. She knew, from previous talks, that he served as head of his household from time to time, and it was this she told herself over and over, but that did not ease her mind as it should. No, only his presence, or at the very least his written word, would have been enough.
And here he now stood, handsome as the first time they had met, though older now, features minutely sharper.
She watched him as he lifted a hand to his chest and bowed, and she would have liked to tell him he needn't have bothered, but she held her tongue. Here, on the street, was no place to discourage propriety. It did pull a kind smile from the stoic lass, and she stepped forward at last to rest a hand on his arm as he straightened again
Those delicate fingers tensed as he questioned her though, and automatically she lifted the other hand to press against the fading scar that now graced the side of her face, head turning to further shield it from his view. "Well enough," she offered in retort, letting the hand fall away once again, though she kept her head turned, eyes scanning the street around them and the various shops. The gentle coaxing of his voice had not escaped her, but she had no desire to speak of such recent and traumatic experiences here.
Finally pale eyes found an opening between two shops, and beyond the gentle shadows of the close walls she saw the bubbling of a fountain and a ring of stone benches. "Will you accompany me?" They had much to discuss, but privacy was needed.
