Not a lot of things would have a little filly running to school on a Saturday morning. As fun as their schoolteacher's lessons could be, Saturday was the holy grail of playdays, where any little phony could sleep in late and stay up past their bedtime. All the same, a frantic purple filly was moving as fast as her little legs could take her, scampering through the schoolyard and up to the schoolhouse door.

Drat, locked.

TART's gaze casted over her shoulders, nervously looking for anyone in the immediate area. She wasn't going to do anything bad, just a little breaking and entering. But without the breaking, just the entering, since she could climb the little tree by the back wall and wiggle through a half-opened window. Or, rather, get stuck halfway through the window, back legs kicking as she tried to free herself.

Okay, well she didn't really ever save the world but she either got to play it or go on patrols. Today she was able to get out of the house fast enough without anyone noticing her. She would have worn her superhero costume but alas, it would have made others suspicious. She was undercover today.

She wasn't sure where would be best to patrol around. Probably one of the most familiar places to her was the school, that seemed like a place as good as any.

The filly trotted around the schoolyard, so far, so good. Until she came around the building and saw purple legs sticking out of a window. Oh no! "Halt evil-doer!" Not that the other looked like they could go anywhere...

TART stopped wiggling her chubby babby legs before she could think better. She knew that voice from class. She sniffled, unhappy and upset and clearly about to be in trouble with miss do-goody-goody. This was not her finest hour.

"Halt? Halt? Marvel I am stuck in a window! I can't get any more halted unless my hooves were glued to the ground!" She wiggled her hooves for emphasis, clearly not getting anywhere in her current predicament.

Marvel squinted as she got closer to the phony stuck in the window. It was her class mate TART. She guessed she couldn't go anywhere anyway. She frowned a bit. "What are you doing in the window?" Patrol could wait, a friend was in need!

TART huffed, irritated at having to explain the obvious. Weren’t ‘super heroes’ supposed to be able to read minds or something?

“Marvel, I am not doing anything at all. Being stuck generally means an inability to do things!”

Marvel frowned a bit. That didn't really answer her question but she needed to get the other filly out of the window first! "Maybe I can help you out of it!"

She flapped her little wings and brought herself up to the window. "I hope you aren't to stuck TART." Then they'd have to get a grown up and that would look bad. Marvel pushed against the other filly, hoping she would get unstuck.

It was really the most unladylike situation ever, but at least it was another girl pushing against her backside instead of a potentially very handsome young colt.

The window frame pinched her sides and she was about to cry for Marvel to stop when pop, she tumbled through the window and onto classroom floor. A little whining was inevitable as she got back up onto her hooves, shaking out sore limbs and wiggling her nose, but at least it was short lived, the filly turning around to stare out the window back to Marvel.

“Um, thank you for the push,” she hesitated, a little ashamed and a whole lot embarrassed for the whole situation, “Sorry that I was so snippy with you before. Being stuck is not fun.”

Marvel was very very glad that TART didn't get stuck and let a sigh of relief out when the other filly finally came loose from the window. She grinned a bit and stuck her head through the window.

"You are welcome! Always glad to help a friend in need." Even if the need was to break into the school after hours. She just hoped it was for good intentions and nothing bad. "I don't blame you, being stuck wouldn't seem terribly fun at all! You okay now right?"

A friend. The thought made TART happy- she wasn’t so good at keeping friends. Something to do with her ‘competitive nature’ and ‘problems with authority that isn’t a handsome stallion in uniform- or mom’. The filly sat down on the classroom floor, smiling up at Marvel.

“Thanks for helping me through. And not calling the popo. And for dropping the accusation of evil-doing. I mean, I probably would have accused me, too.” TART sighed, trotting over to her desk and lifting up the desktop- only to pull out her math textbook. At least she had the decency to make her next smile a little bashful, like she was sharing a secret with Marvel.

“Promise you won’t tell anyone I got myself stuck because I forgot my homework? Would ruin my reputation!” And to sink the deal, TART pulled a little makeup kit from her saddlebag. The bag as nosed up the window for Marvel to take.

"That's for being awesome, Miss Marvel."

At least leaving was easier than coming, the door didn’t lock from the inside, so TART could just leave out the front, textbook in tow, and knowing better now than to snap at someone only trying to help her. It wasn’t a very good way to make friends.
