The arrows pointed down. Down into what looked like a cave. The arrows were pink and had glitter on them so it wasn’t the hardest to figure out exactly who would have put them up. As you travel down the path the cave tunnel gets significantly steeper, and slippery, the path smoothing out. Before long you realize that it’s more a slide. Sadly you realize this just a hair too late as your next step sends you stumbling, sliding down the path, unable to stop. A bright light at the end, you’re flung out into open space.
Only to land on giant translucent bubbles. The cavern you’re in is massive, and glittering rocks reflect light, giving the cave itself the illusion that it’s the night sky, filled with stars. The walls you can make out are smooth, and the bubbles catching you rather solid..if bouncy. Below is a fizzing pool of what looks like clear water… but that bubble says it’s more than just water. Sitting on the highest bubble is Desu-chan. Above her is a hole to the sky, where the light seems to be filtering in. In one of her hands is a what looks like a…. soda can. In her other hand? A pink bubble wand. Looking down she waves at you and motions for you to come up and join her. Next to her is a box and what looks like a bag of things… maybe if you say hello she has something to give you… Just a matter of getting up there.
Stepping on the bubble you realize it’s rather bouncy, like a trampoline. Maybe if you bounce enough, you can bounce your way over! Those who can fly or float find it impossible to use their natural abilities, the bubbles floating in their path far too often.

HOW TO PLAY
Bouncing from one bubble to another, your goal is to get up to Desu-chan and her box and bag of goodies. Oh, and maybe get out of this cave thing.
Stage 1
Getting the starting bounce is a bit difficult, as you might just slip, pop your bubble or not get a good enough start. Rolling 1 d100, match roll to results below:
1-10 Your bubble pops and you land on a smaller one just below. You didn’t get anywhere! 11-80 You manage to get a good starting bounce, heading to the next highest bubble. (PASS) 81-100 You did so well, you manage to skip over of bubble entirely! (PASS, +1 save)
Stage Two
After the initial bounce, you’ve now got to keep that momentum going. Bounce your way up, and try to pop and head back down!
Roll 1d20 three times.
The first roll must be over 5 The second roll must be over 10 The third roll over 13 If you fail at any roll, you must go back by one step/roll. This does mean if you fail the first roll you must go back to stage 1. If you have a save, you make no progress, but you don’t go back a step. THIS WORKED WHEN I TESTED IT BUT UH. Let's remove that. If you fail you just don't proceed. Keep rolling until you get it. Save means an fail can become a pass.
Stage Three
The final jump, Desu-chan smiles and blows a few bubbles at you, and uh… might not be good to be hit by them as they glow a bit pink.
Rolling 1 d100, you must get over 10 to avoid the bubbles! Rather easy really.
PRIZES
If you managed to make it to Desu-chan, you have a few options open to you. You can leave or… you can see what she has in her bag or her box. If you try to take both things, she flings you out of the cave before you get the chance.
Bag
You see an assortment of shining crystals, clear and reflecting light much like the gems in the cavern walls. They also smell a bit sweet.
Take one?
Desu-chan grins and hands you the rock. She takes a bite of one herself, the rather sharp jagged stone showing no resistance for her. Cracking away it dawns on you what these glittering ‘rocks’ actually are. It seems that you’ve actually stumbled into a rock candy cave! As you manage to crack off a small bite, you taste nothing but pure high quality sugar. Maybe falling in here was worth it.
(OOC Note: These rock candies have NO status effect, but they are considered some of the highest quality all natural rock candy around. Highly valued, and hard to find cheaply.)
Box
Soda cans? She smiles and looking closer at the can in her hand, it seems that indeed, what she’s using to make the bubbles with is the soda. Only- She drops a few bits of what look like gems into it, making the drink fizz and bubble a bit in hand. Maybe you shouldn’t question it a whole lot. Still, she offers you a can for yourself.
Take one?
You take a can and Desu nods. However if you try to drink it she shakes her head and motions outside. Apparently drinking it in here is a bad think. On the can itself it says ‘All natural mineral water! Collected from the sugar springs of Halloweentown.’ It gives a warning not to drink in enclosed spaces. Huh. Guess you’ll drink it later.
(OOC Note: The soda HAS A STATUS EFFECT of when drunk, your character begin to float helplessly in the air. Even if they have wings they seem unable to control their floating! Floating around 10 feet off the ground, the just kind of have to swim in air for the next IC hour. If they want to get down sooner? Well they’ll have to burp their way down. A single can is one serving. You cannot mix it with the rock candy to create the bubble Desu-chan makes.)
Leave
If you grabbed something or not, Desu-chan helps you out in the only way she knows how. By tossing you up and out. Looks like team amity is blasting off again!
West was used to venturing into strange caves and having thoroughly disturbing adventures at this point, and much like his excursions off campus, he had little choice but to think of each as a learning experience, no matter how much he wished he didn't have to learn what they had to teach him.
At the very least, these trips also assuaged his curiosity. He'd learned first hand how boring a school could be if all there was to do was go to classes and gossip. He had never thought of himself as imaginative prior to attending Amityville, and the fact was he hadn't been until he had been given the opportunity to shoot a gun and kill a teacher and go hand-to-hand with a bear. Now he could envision multiple futures for himself where he battled troublesome humans, captained ships, or sat at home and did nothing at all. Everything was possible, and it was all thanks to caves. Or something like that.
One more didn't phase him in the slightest.
He followed the sparkly arrows deeper and deeper into this new and mysterious tunnel, cursing sharply and loudly when his boot finally slipped on the sheer rock and he sped forward, down a thoroughly unnatural ramp. He burst into the room with a much less coherent shout, scrabbling through the empty air for a hand- or foothold. He didn't find one, but it didn't matter. West landed on a huge, shimmering bubble, the recoil from his impact bouncing him back up to his feet before he could stop himself. He peered through the spaces between the bubbles, brows furrowing at the hole in the ceiling and his mentor's fiancee where she sat beneath it.
The boil hopped in place experimentally, bouncing quite a bit higher than he had anticipated as a result. He tried again, bending his knees and springing skyward, clearing the bubble above him with no trouble.

Higher and higher he rose, stretching his arms out to either side at the apex of his bounce. West soon began to fall, but instead of looking below to gauge where he would land, he turned his gaze skyward, squinting at what he thought would be his next goal.
When he finally did notice his intended bubble, it was speeding past him. "Craaaaap!" he shouted, waving his fist at the translucent blob as if that would entice it closer. West landed with a bounce but remained seated this time, glaring up at the ceiling.
All right. It was time to move. If he ever wanted to get out of here, he was going to have to stop sitting around and start leaping. West rose to his feet once more, hopping a few shallow hops and then bouncing as hard as he could.
The speed at which he careened through the air was positively face-melting. He couldn't be absolutely sure, but West thought he must have shot past at least forty-seven bubbles. Or two. Either way, he paid a great deal more attention to how he landed this time, not even stumbling as he came to a stop. Progress.
Arachne should have realised by now that venturing out was a bad idea, especially after the last time when she had ended up in the Haunted House. She'd been at somewhat of a loose end though, and taking a stroll had spotted what had to be the sparkliest arrow signs she'd ever seen. And pink.
Which was enough to pique her curiosity, she followed the signs down into a cave, though curious, she was still in half a mind as to whether this was a sensible thing to be doing. She soon got her answer as the tunnel that she was travelling down began to get slippier and steeper by degrees, and before she could think about turning around and going back, she lost her footing and slid the rest of the way, her hair streaming behind her as she whizzed along.
She landed on an overly large bubble and after just about managing to balance on the translucent sphere, catching her breath and looked around. What was she supposed to do now? Peering upwards and through the bubbles she could just about see someone, and she wondered if up was where she was meant to go. But how?
The answer was slightly obvious, she had bounced a little as she landed and tentatively she tried a second, proper bounce, sailing a little way from that and onto a slightly higher one.
Arachne soared with a relatively graceful arc, managing to land on a bubble that had been slightly above and in her flight path. She let slip a giggle, this was far more fun than she had been expecting and as she landed on the second bubble she bounced again, propelling herself ever higher, hoping that she would find her way to the next as she tried to ascend.
Unfortunately her bounce proved to be way to much and she sailed straight past several bubbles, missing each and every one, before gravity took hold once again and she fell, hands grasping the air and a scream leaving her just as she landed back on the bubble she had left.
'That..was not so much fun.' she said, shaking her head. She hoped that didn't happen too many more times and tried again
This time the red haired ghoul didn't even bounce properly, she just flopped from the bubble and tumbling back landed right at the beginning on the first bubble she had bounced from.
Pushing her hair from out her face she sat up, scowling upwards. 'I am not giving up!' Which wasn't really a choice as she wasn't sure quite how to get out at any rate.
This time she actually bounced properly, and got a great deal of lift, her bounce-trajectory sending her straight over one bubble and with some relief she landed on the next.
Once more he tensed his legs and sprang, the buoyancy of the bubble sending him flying up, up, up, but not quite high enough. West grabbed the nearest slippery bubble and scrambled up onto its surface, lying flat on his stomach for a moment while he caught his breath.
This time she again failed to bounce properly, but for some reason the bubble did not burst and neither did Arachne roll off as she had done previously. Her balance held and she stayed on the one she had just landed on.
She got to her feet, bouncing with a bit more confidence this time, determined to rise higher this time and the bubble spring beneath her feet, sending her sailing upwards once more, onto the next bubble.
'Finaaaaallly!' she said as she bounced and landed.
And once again the bubble responded properly, or she was getting better at this bouncing lark, for she was propelled neatly onwards and upwards, sailing towards the next. She very much hoped that she might reach the top soon and not be so unlucky to fall again.
Unfortunately her positive thoughts amounted to nothing as far as the bubbles were concerned and once again a mis-timed jump sent her not soaring ever higher but tumbling back down again.
'Jacking hell..' she grumbled. 'This is going really well..'
