Powers: Aelita's angelic powers had been replaced with the devil's little gifts when she fell from heaven.
The Undead's Calling: One being the ability to speak with the dead, more so, the underworld. And it's a constant thing, the dead speak to her whenever they want, so she can't really control it, instead, she'd have to zone out to ignore the many voices of the dead. It's not easy, mind you, but after the years of having to do so, it comes much easier. Messages and signals from the devil often come through this.
Grave Call: By using much of her own spiritual energy, Aelita can call on a spirit to take her place in her body for a short amount of time. Depending on what type of spirit, and who they were and what they did in their past life, the spirit can be more powerful when summoned, but takes up more energy and years of life. It's a dangerous power to have, but then again, her soul is the devil's, so only he can take it away..
A Madman's U-Turn: Aelita has constant access to Hell itself, but, she only usually visits when summoned. Also, it is not done by ways of disappearance, or teleportation, but a signal. Above certain doors, there's the devils symbols, usually doors off limits to the rest of the public. With a certain chant, one can step through the doors and travel down through the earth and to Hell. It's not a short, nor dangerous trip, if you know what you're doing.
Anthropomorphism: Of course, every demon needs their assistance. Hers are rather interesting. A minor spirit must first be summoned, and then, placed in a human-like object, say, a puppet, doll, suit of armor, etc. It lasts longer than the spirits used to fight, but that's because less energy is used. Some can talk, some can dance, some can even do a couple of magic tricks. Anyway, to say the least, they're the little demons that keep her company.
Weaknesses: One's greatest weakness are their greatest desires. For Aelita, it's home. All she wants, her core reason for coping with the idiocy of humans, is a chance at being let back into heaven. Mocking this goal immediately sets her off into a rage. Her indifference to others, her pride, is one of her greatest downfalls. She prefers to do things on her own, and by doing so, this often gets her into trouble. Being compared is one of the sure-fire ways to piss her off is compare her, to anyone, anything. She knows, better than anyone else, that she isn't perfect.
Weapons and Equipment: Aelita only carries one weapon, a pistol, which is attached by a long chain to her belt. There is, literally, no way to remove it from her being, as it is attached to her soul. Although, even though many think of it as a weapon to use on others, she hasn't fired it once. There is one bullet, with one purpose. The devil gave it to her, as a way out of life. He said it so sadistic-ly, as if enjoying the show, as he told her that she decided to give up on her mission, she could give the gun a little 'boom,' and end up back in hell for eternity. She may sometimes use it to intimidate, but it'll be a million years before she raises the barrel to her skull.
Besides that, on many occasions she has a small doll on her shoulder, or following at her heel. It would hold the soul of someone, their core intention to keep her company.
Personality: Aelita's heart grew cold and indifferent over years of obsessing over one concrete goal, and she slowly started pushing people away as time dragged on, since no one here was worth her time. She's always been gifted with intelligence, so she's all about learning, reading, and observing what need be. She, upon first meeting and for a while after, can seem harsh and rude, until somehow you weasel into her heart. Somewhere down there, there's still an angel under the devil that's growing everyday, you just have to dig farther than you want. She isn't very good at social skills, and so, may come off as weird or creepy sometimes. There are certain things, certain memories, that bring a smile to her face. Of course, she'll wipe it off and shrug, pretending as if it was nothing. There are times where she'll talk to herself (even though she's talking to a spirit), and she may sometimes come off as nutty.
History: Aelita was born as a blessing and gift to a pair of angels, two much trusted by God. She was a gorgeous little girl with lavender hair, little violet eyes, and porcelain-like skin. She was the perfect child, the perfect one to take on her mother's job when the time came. She grew up with the other young angels, training to do assignments, learning about the earth below, and taking flying lessons in the clouds above. Little did anyone know, that while all of this was going on, the devil was planting seeds, one by one, in each child, testing to see which would be his target. What better person to be on the inside than one of their own?
Most of the children, more aware of who and what they were, were able to overcome the evil being whispered in their ear, most, except for one. Aelita was a little slower on the uptake, as were her parents, until she started proposing ideas for when they visited the earth, which weren't very good. Mr. and Mrs. Enjeru brought the matter to God, who noticed the little changes along the way. A couple of higher up angels were charged with watching her, giving her extra lessons, and reading her the scriptures a little more than the others.
Nothing worked, and the child only got worse. Eventually, she was taken on a missions trip to earth, as if it would humble her. Well, long story short, she slipped up and accidentally murdered someone. Of course, such sin could not be allowed back in heaven. And since God already had every change to judge her, she was sent straight to the devil's hands, much to her parents' dismay. Satan, of course, had always waited for this day, to have an angel of his own, simply to mess with his eternal rival. The girl was changed to fit according to his uses, and he stripped her off her angelic wings, replacing them with useless, flightless, ugly coal black wings. She couldn't even fly anymore.
And so, with wings and replaced powers as a symbol of the devil, she was sent down to earth, to complete a task that even Aelita isn't aware of. It's been years upon years, and every time she asks, Satan only says that she's completing the mission without knowing. It scares the girl, but with nothing to gain, and nothing to lose, how could she complain? Recently, he'd enrolled her at an academy for her kind, and even though she's already been attending for a while, she loathes it entirely, as she does most things and people.
Likes: Lincoln logs (an old, precious memory), reading, soft instrumental music, heaven, wandering aimlessly in nature, harps, and lastly, hope.
Dislikes: Battle, her curse, the devil, hell, banishment, people who stick their nose in her business or worry about her.
