Having established that both of them met and could blend into certain environments, the topic of Snow came up to the bewilderment of Kanko, the Kitsune type dragon. Bewildered, he didn't quite know what to make of it as his newest roaming mate loved the stuff. Really...Snow wasn't his thing. He'd rather be inside with Ciderplumb goofing off and telling tales of the snow ghosts that roamed around.... that never existed.
Kanko, shifted in his seated position and tried to not look confused, "Well, I don't really enjoy going out in it. The snow melts on my fur and seeps somehow to the bone. Though I suppose I like the falling snow. It makes the whole world seem loud in a very understated way. " The fox snorted and grinned again at his new 'friend', "But you have me curious now; do you like the snow with your coloration so dark? "
Those tails of his waggled and drifted in the nonexistent breeze, curling and uncurling around his four feet. Really, it made the fox look quite noble, at least he thought so. ...Then again his inner thoughts were mostly 'cold ground, cold ground cold ground'.

"Oh, it's really refreshing." He smiled slightly. "My guardian told me stories about the snow... She said it leads to new beginnings, brought life...after it melted..." He made a sort of image in the snow, playing with his claws. "I've always wanted to see such a nice thing...something that did so much by being so little...." He touched his nose to some ice near him, smiling softly at it.

Glancing at the sky, then back at this other dragon that was now drawing pictures in the snow, Kanko snorted and chortled to himself. "I wouldn't know of something like that. My guardian speaks of snow capable of destroying villages, leveling forests, and bringing great peril to travelers. " Kanko didn't quite know what to make of this one. Skittish yet one of those intellectual types.
Yeah, he liked this one. This one was going to be kept close. Very close...Oh yeah best buds here we come! Or something like that.
Though the affinity for snow was a bit off putting. Hopefully Dog Bite wasn't this poetic about rain. Ick! "I bet your tongue would get stuck to that if you lick it. " he jested, a claw reaching up to smooth out his fluffy belly fur of white. With a mischevious glint, the kitsune dragon smiled, "Sand, leaves, snail, trees...seeds... Rice. Mmm..Rice. Everything affects everything, or so my guardian says. He also states that we need winter snows for autumn's colorful leaves, and summer's hot days for spring's flowers to mean something. Honestly, I think I'm happier enjoying the moment than focusing on the past that is coming or some nonsensical thing like that. "
...That said, the Kitsune, dispite his better judgement, flopped over onto the snow and rolled around making what could be called a snow dragon angel...with nine tails... He was trying. He really was. Dragons just weren't equipped to make snow angels like the bipedial humans were. though he did manage a ' Wheeeeeee! ' like one.

"What's rice? Other than a plant..." He nosed his friend in the side, smiling a little bit before seeming to poke around for a tickle spot with his snout. "Tell me things about you!"

"Rice?" Kanko paused his rolling and sort of just laid there. It was a bit shocking to hear that someone had not heard of the glorius thing that was rice. ( Or is it 'is rice?') "Food. Fluffy, white, warm sometimes. And with a bit of that nummy brown soy sauce my guardian puts on it once in a while, it is delicious. Kinda melts in your mouth. A grain. Well, if you eat grains.... "
He was about to start spouting the glory that what could be made from Rice when a nose sniffed and tickled his fur. The dragon squirmed, let out a bark of a laugh and curled up into a fluffy orange ball before peeking out at Dog Bite. There was a mischevious glint to those almost glowing blue eyes of the Kitsune, and a grin to compliment it. "I? I am Kanko. Games I like. Red is pretty. And so is fine and delicate food. Silk I do enjoy, though I'd rather watch a bipedial wear such fineries, or watch kites dance in the wind. Tricks are fun, fire is pretty...Really, there isn't much to me. I'm fairly simple. But I like friends. I could do with a few more of those. It gets so boring just running around the same patch of trees and towers with no other around to bother. Yes? "

"Oh..." He blinked. "You have a twolegged guardian..." That was understandable. He nodded and tilted his head. "Finery?" He knew a little about those things... but not a lot.

With another nod, Kanko rolled back onto his stomach, his nose practically level with the snow. "Yes. A two-legger. Very good at belly rubs and grooming. " He had to pause for a bit to find the right word to describe 'fineries'. It took little time, but it was a few second's of a pause.
"When I say 'fineries' I am refering to really nice things. Like, luxuries. Or piles of gold and stuff. Or whatever you treasure. Something that can be worn, or adorn, or an ornament. Yes? "

"Oh." He pointed to his necklace. "Like this?" It was a present from the female that cared for him, his guardian. It was a dyed green leather strap with a tooth tied on. "Not much is from my guardian...she's a quadruped."

Kanko, seeing the rather interesting gift, nodded. Indeed it was something fine, though not exactly what he was thinking of. It was best to be polite in this situation.
"Yes. That could be considered finery. "

"It's special... an adult dragon attacked me while I was young." He looked to it. "This tooth fell out when he tried to chase me into my hiding hole. My guardian managed to make it into a necklace for me, as a memory of what happened."

The small explaination was touching, but still Kanko found it a bit too meaningful to be just something of fancy. It held symbolism, not just fluff. His ear twitched as he pondered how to explain that it wasn't quite what he had meant. Would it break the other's heart? Probably. . . He'd keep quiet.
"That is quite the souvenir. Might want to keep a hold of that one, yes? I think, though, that it is a bit too sentimental for what I had meant... but one, in the right circumstances--and this could be considered it-- it could be finery indeed. Sentimental ornamentation. Perhaps even Ceremonial Ornamentation. Either or, or either and, it is quite nice. I have nothing like that. "

He blinked, seeming to understand slightly. "Ok..." The necklace was tapped before he smiled slightly at his new friend. "So...what area do you live in?"
