Alecto had heard there were many canine students within Amity and quite a few hellhounds lurking within its walls. It seemed to be true, considering she had already met another hellhound earlier, a hellhound that proved to be quite entertaining and even had multiple personalities just like herself. Her ears twitched as she walked through the demon dormitories. While the ghoul didn’t expect to meet another hellhound within the dorms, she stopped suddenly when a peculiar boil passed by her. She spun around. The hellhound tilted her head and the dim glow of her eyes flared briefly before she strode toward the other student.
Her steps increased each second as her lips curled into a large beam before she leapt. “Hey!” she chirped, her forked tail wagging happily. “You are a hellhound also, yesyes? You smell like one. I’m pleasedpleased. Please tell me you’re a hellhound too.”Melodine Cantus Pardon the shortness uvu;;

Erebus was trying.
He kept telling himself that it wasn't right to hole himself up in his room and read, even though it was a very tempting and comfortable thought. And yet, when he decided that he should get out more often, and possibly maybe hang out with his brothers or something, he hadn't really expected someone to suddenly say hi to him.
He jumped, only very slightly, because he hadn't expected the footsteps he had heard heading his way to belong to someone who actually wanted to talk to him. Moreover, it was someone he had never remembered meeting. "Uh, hi!" Erebus said with a smile, scratching the back of his head. "Hellhound? Oh yeah, I guess, well, I'm a Cerberus demon, to be exact." So, she was a hellhound? Well, her tail certainly seemed different and those horns weren't a trait he or his brothers had. It probably meant she was from another family. He wasn't exactly sure which, however.

Her mouth formed a perfect ‘O’ at Erebus. “Cerberus! Yesyes, Cerberus is very well known. How very lucky to be related to them,” she barked, the light in her eyes dancing as her ears periodically flicked now and then. Alecto raised her arm as she added, “My name is Alecto, by the way! I’m from the Kidomonas clan, so we are more fire-based than other clans.” Lips curled into a mischievous grin as she held out one of her clawed hands to conjure up a flickering ball of fire before she curled her hand into a fist and smothered out the flame.
“But what about you? What’s your namename? Oh! Are you new too? We can look around the campus. It’s always good to familiarize ourselves with the groundsgrounds.” (You’re going to drive him nuts.) [Maybe he’ll go crazy? That sounds fun.] No, he looks nice! She blinked rapidly as she briefly conversed with the others in her head before reaching out for one of Erebus’ hands. Alecto gently tugged it and cocked her head, her tail wagging all the while. “Well?”

"Thank you." Erebus said happily, tail wagging. He definitely had some pride in the family name, and it was for the family name that he had decided to put in more effort into studying at Amityville. "Nice to meet you, Alecto!" Kidomonas huh? He made a mental note to go read up on the clan; Erebus was always interested in learning more, and clan history was fascinating to him. "Ah, I see! That's cool! I can do a wall of fire," he was not about to demonstrate it in the hallway though, "but my brothers have different abilities."
"My name's Erebus." He said with a laugh. She certainly seemed rather excitable! It sort of reminded him of Thack. "I'm well... not really new, I guess, but I'm not exactly very familiar with the campus." Unless one counted knowing the way to the library, which was something he was especially familiar with. Other than that? Not... really. "I don't mind looking around."

She gaped at Erebus. “A wall of fire! You must show me sometime. I would lovelove to see it! Another hellhound who can do fire is greatgreat.” Alecto smiled and nodded her head rapidly. “Oh! You should tell me what kind of abilities your brothers have too. The variety hellhounds have is veryvery interesting.”
“I see.” She curiously eyed him as she stroked her chin with her claws, but was careful not to scratch herself. “Well, if you’re not familiar than now is a veryvery good time to get acquainted with the grounds.” Grinning, the ghoul had no qualms about dragging the demon boil out of the dorms and outside. “Where have you been so far? Personally I’d likelike to go to the springs behind the undead dorms.” Her eyes sparkled as she smiled goofily. “The lava springs are nice.”

"Sure!" Erebus just didn't want to accidentally burn stuff down and get into trouble. Not when he was trying to be a good student! But doing it some open-air place would be alright, he supposed. "Well, for example, Thack can summon hellhound illusions." Also, they could change into dogs; puppies to be exact, but he figured that was a given.
"Yeah, I really should." He agreed, letting himself be dragged along. Besides, it was more fun to explore the academy with someone else instead of wandering around alone. "I mostly know what's indoors, but not really what's outside-- there's a lava spring?!" He hadn't heard about that before! Erebus' tail was slowly starting to wag in excitement.

“ThackThack! That sounds very interesting. I didn’t think there was such an ability. Are they like copies of himself or more generic?” she asked curiously, tail wagging. Shifting into natural form was a given, but puppy forms? That sounded extremely cuddle-able and dog!Alecto would gladly pay with dog!Erebus all day despite the size difference.
“Oh, indoors? Maybe you can show me some of those places because I like to stay outside. Except when it snows.” Alecto crinkled her nose. “Yes! There’re a bunch of springs behind the undead dorms! There are many kinds to suit different students. It’s very accommodating.” She continued to tug him along until finally they arrived.
Everywhere they looked were pools, pools filled with steaming water or cold water, or even lava for the more fire-based students like Alecto herself. She relinquished her grip on Erebus’ hand. “Which one do you like? Oh, but I’m gonna use the lava one. I-I can’t really take water and stuff…”

"Copies, I think?" Erebus guessed that as they grew older and gained their larger dog forms, the illusions would probably mirror that. Probably. It certainly would be quite useful.
"Yeah well, there's the gym," He had never went in there and battled anyone though. Yet. "And the library," A regular haunt, but Erebus was not about to elaborate on his secret hobby, "and there are pianos in the common room." Sometimes, just sometimes, he liked studying there when no one was really around. Probably because it was really elegant and nice.
"Wow, this is really cool!" He breathed, eyeing all the different pools. "Well um, I can take the heat, but I'm not sure if the lava one wouldn't singe the fur off my tail."

“Copiescopies! Yes, I see. Interesting very interesting.”
Her ears perked up at the thought of visiting the gym. “Oh yes, a gym. I should’ve known we had oneone. I’ll have to look for it later.” She hummed thoughtfully, and her face contorted into a mixture of distaste and pleasure, as if she was fighting another personality within herself, and in fact she was. (We must go there as soon as possible.) Not now…!
“I’m afraid I don’t play any musical instruments,” she lamented, “Do you? I would love to hear you play if you did.”
“Well, if youyou insist.” She shrugged her shoulders. “The hotter springs are over here.” Alecto gestured for the other hellhound to follow farther into the springs before she barked excitedly as she slid into a lava spring. “You can go into the one over there! It’s really close to mine!”

"I used to doze off when I listened to classical music as a kid." Erebus confessed with a laugh. His ancestors once fell asleep listening to the music of Orpheus, after all. "But I've grown to have a greater appreciation of it. I can play a little on the piano, but I'm not amazing or anything. I mostly play for fun when I do."
He trailed after her, breathing in the air warmed by the lava springs. It certainly made him a little nostalgic for home, and with a nod, he removed his shirt and slipped into a hotter spring. As fire inclined as he was, it was a bit... much. "So, how long have you been in Amityville?" He called out to Alecto.

“Yesyes, I’m not very good at listening to classic music. I prefer songs with catchy tunestunes,” she agreed. Her ears perked up when Erebus admitted he could play piano. Clawed hands gripped the edge of the pool and she may have stared a few seconds too long (and with just a bit too much eagerness) as the other hellhound took off his shirt. She stared widely as the glow in her eyes flickered. “Do you memorize songssongs? I would like to hear you play one someday. I’m sure you play goodgood.”
She propped her chin on the ground while her tail peeked out from the steaming lava. “I’m veryvery new! Uuuum, I think a few weeks? Yesyes, that sounds about right. What about you? How long have you been here?”

"Catchy tunes? I suppose I could play those, a little. Until my fingers manage to mess them up." Erebus was honestly a little awkward with having to take off his shirt in front of someone, and a ghoul, no less, but he would really rather not have to get his shirt and tie wet. He was also a bit uncomfortable with the attention but um. Well.
He sunk a bit lower into the spring. "It depends, I suppose? I can memorize some parts if it's long. If it's a short song, it isn't so bad. If I practiced more, I would be better, I suppose, but I usually just play it for fun." Usually in between reading books.
"About a year... or two, really." Erebus bit his lip, slouching even deeper into the spring. And he was still in Year One. Yeeahhhpppp. It wasn't something he was immensely proud of, but he was going to change that!

His awkwardness completely flew over Alecto’s head, especially as Megaera and Tisiphone chose to snicker and say absolutely nothing regarding the matter. She kept staring, but this time more subtle. Her eyes crinkled as she grinned at Erebus. “I’d lovelove to hear it, mess-ups or not. I’m sure you’re at least decentdecent.”
“Ooooh~” The glow in her eyes spiked up briefly at the snippet of information. “How interesting! Have youyou enjoyed your stay here at school so farfar? Is school here funfun?” While he slid deeper into the water, Alecto found nothing wrong with someone taking his time in progressing through the years. Her tail poked out from the steaming lava as she closed her eyes and lazed around in the heat. “Hmmm.”Melodine Cantus We can continue/timeskip or wrap up here if you want O:
