It had been a long time sense Kokoro had tried venturing out in the world among actual strangers, though the last time she had she met Victor and had such a wonderful time just walking home. She blushed lightly as she thought about it. It had been so long sense that happened, She had gained housemates, Adopted an abandoned bowl she had come across in the woods that grew up to adopt a kit of her own. She was a grandmother of all things... Still she had missed her time with Victor sense that day, even with their phone calls. But she hadn't been very able to muster up the courage to leave her yard much, until today. She took a deep breath and took a step onto the sidewalk walking towards the town, "Maybe I'll make a friend today."

Days seemed to pass by in a blur. Or, to put it more accurately towards Victor, darkness. Nothing changed for him. His parents were still together, his multitude of siblings were living there lives... but Victor was stuck in a rut. He supposed his mother had felt the very same way before she met her true mate. And, of course, she had gone through such awkward obstacles to finally be with him, Victor could only assume he would have to go through similar feats. Today, he was daring to be in town again, despite the cold. He was half-tempted to seek out the fountain again. the fountain he'd met Kokoro at in the beginning. He HAD liked her company, after all. He paused just short of a store, one with hot drinks within, and shivered involuntarily, thinking over whether or not he should go in.

She had made it to the edge of town and smiled lightly despite herself at how few people had ventured out into the cold. She wouldn't have to be too nervous if approached in such an open area. She would have muster up some more courage to approach someone herself. She stopped herself seeing her scarf dragging on the ground and as she bent down to fix it her hat fell off her head onto the ground. She let out a small huff of frustration, "Dang it..."
She swept up her hat and fixed the scarf in two swift motions before looking up once more.

A voice he knew, and Victor's ears perked up in an instant. She couldn't be far off, he mused to himself, heading in the direction of the sound brought with the wind and forgetting entirely his previous endeavors. He stopped short after a few feet however, a paw to his chin as he considered which direction the sound had come from and how to avoid signs and traveling traffic. But, just as quickly, he gave up. "Kokoro?" He questioned aloud, knowing that many a person would be glancing in his direction. He could only hope that she herself had heard it too, and he didn't have the chords to shout it any louder.

"What?" Hearing her own name Kokoro looked around quickly, at first not seeing anyone she would know. She could have sworn someone was calling out to her and it had sounded like... "Victor!" Her voice responded almost as soon as her eyes had registered him and a smile spread across her face. He was looking for her! She blushed at the thought and she had to keep herself from waving to him knowing he wouldn't see it. She tightened her scarf and moved forward towards him a little. "What brings you out today Victor and in this cold?" She frowned a little, how could he be in no scarf or hat in this weather? He must be freezing. She walked forward to him and slipped her hat off sliding it onto his head, "Better?"

"Much." He chuckled lightly, facing in what he hoped was her general direction. "I felt the need for some fresh air, I guess. I didn't think it'd be this cold though!" He shivered voluntarily and smiled, "What about you? Hoping for snowflakes on your eyelashes?" He turned back in the direction he HAD been going, gesturing with a paw, "This place has pretty good tea and hot chocolate, if you're in need of it."
