Slipping on the shirt, he frowned, putting his finger through one of the holes.
He huffed.
"No way, I like this shirt. I-"
Catherine got it for you, didn't she?
...
Hell no. No one else touches these clothes but me.
Buttoning his vest, he sat down on his bed, putting on his socks.
Tossing the blue shirt and sweatpants to a side, he tapped his toe against the floor, making sure the boots were snug.
"'Kay, let's go."
He clipped the keys to his belt and slipped the dagger through it, tightening the belt so it wouldn't slip out.
One of these days, he was going to march right into Kat's room and find his damn sash. He hadn't seen the girl around since the horsemen mission.

Sherry looked at her phone. "Great!" She was practically at the training grounds, since standing around hadn't been on the list of things to do. That, and she didn't think it was going to take him to long to get down there. Basically, she'd decided the best place to kill time was at the training grounds. Are you still going to be all huffy? Armagnac's irritation was clear, but Sherry was still not quite certain what she was irritated about.

Jake stared at the message.
Well, that saved time.
Shoving the phone back in his pocket, he looked up to see he had arrived at the training grounds.
He summoned the weapons, smirking at Sherry.
"Shall we start?"

Sherry summoned her own weapon and grinned. "Yes."
Armagnac's excitement must have been contagious, because Sherry realized she was eager to get on with this. Had it really been so long since she had a decent fight? Since when did start wanting such things?
Armagnac was almost overflowing with glee.

Sherry was still grinning as she stepped in to close some of the distance between them. The blade came down from her right, closing the final distance.
The hiss was pleased.

The hit made him stumble back slightly, and he shot her a cocky grin.
"Good to see you're learning to hit harder."

"What else would I be learning?" Sherry was still grinning. It should have been to early for what her weapon called a battle high, but sure felt nice to let out all her pent up energy. "So what have you been learning?" She shifted her grip, and brought the butt of her weapon in, aiming to hit his legs. Armagnac growled with approval. HP: 50/50 Damage: 5

"Oh, I don't know, learning how to-"
He didn't get to finish as she managed to sweep the weapon under his leg, making him fall.
"Apparently, I've learned I'm not very attentive." he muttered, lying on the ground.
Pushing himself up, he took a step forward, swinging the tonfa at her.

"We'll have to work on that," His blow might have caused her to flinch slightly, but she was still grinning. It was almost like she had something to prove in this fight. True, she had something to prove in every fight, but this time.... The hiss was sharp. "I hope that's not all you've learned," She said to Jake as she eased into her next attack, bringing her blade back down from above. HP: 47/50 Damage: 5

He scoffed, raising the blade up to block her attack, but the attack was stronger than anticipated, and he cringed slightly under the weight as the blade dug into his FEAR shield.

Sherry took two steps back, holding her glaive in her right hand. Then she placed the butt off the weapon on the ground and leaned on it. Jake was given a very cocky grin. Sherry was enjoying this way too much.
Armagnac grumbled with disapproval, not at the attitude because she very much approved of that. She was grumpy about the lack of hitting things.
"I don't know," Sherry shrugged. "Is class what you're needing?"

"Just 'cuz you're able to land a few hits doesn't mean you've gotten all that much better." he grumbled, winging the blade towards her.

Sherry felt the hit, and took another couple steps back.
Jake was right. She wasn't all that much better. But she did like being on that 'high horse'. A realization that suddenly made her feel a little bit guilty. She wasn't being very nice, now, was she?
Armagnac added a few other words, but Sherry did her best to block out the oncoming rant.
"I can only fight you properly if you fight me properly," she shrugged and stopped backing away. "I prefer to be on even footing with you, Jake."

Was she serious?
He glared at her.
"Do you think this is a game or something? In a REAL battle, the opponent's not gonna make sure to see if you're ready to attack. Hell, that kind of attitude will only get you killed."
The blades were brought down on her FEAR shield, his attack fueled by anger.

Well, that got a response. Sherry couldn't hide the wince as his blow cut deeper into her shield than she'd anticipated. "Of course it's not a game."
She kicked at him, then backed up a few more steps. "But this isn't a real battle, either."
