Things seemed... Quieter. The Ligi didn't seem to be out much, Ixi couldn't recall anybody saying anything about the pride leader... And she was feeling more bold, beginning to insist on others eating more, with the Ligi not appearing around as often. She was starting to fill back in a bit herself. And now, the blue lioness was using all her stalking ability to be truly daring. She was going to see Kafele herself.
It was true, she missed his presence. He was a warm face... No pun intended... Amid a pride that seemed cold and indifferent to... Everything. They appeared indifferent to even themselves, which rather alarmed her. Still... She knew this was dangerous, and rather stupid, given how bright her blue coat could pop out, but so far she was doing quite well. Maybe... Just maybe... She'd see Kafele and NOT get killed for getting so close.

Kafele had been growing worried lately. His grandfather had been oddly quiet for the past few weeks and the young red lion – who always assumed the worst when it came to Sahen - took it as a sign that this eerie break meant he was planning something terrible for the future. The pride had been blessed with a few good hunters and prey wasn’t quite as scarce as before but Kafele had seen so much that he didn’t have the heart to hope for more. The pride was still starving and fear still ruled in almost every lion's heart.
So when Kayin came to warn him that Ixi was drawing closer to the Weeping Lion and all the dangers that such an action entailed, it took every bit of composure for Kafele to leave his home with a calm facade without alerting anyone’s suspicion. He climbed out of the rocky structure with Kayin under the pretense of taking a walk but the cream ligi lingered behind to give the heir some cover while he approached the blue lioness.
“Ixi, what are you doing here?” he asked worriedly as they closed the distance between them. “Is everything alright?”
