There had been more talking. And more petting, which was much obviously better. But then there had been more talking after that too. Sparky wasn't quite sure if he understood it all, but they were off to try again. Something about him supposed to be fighting a dragon with his Bonded. But... wasn't that what they had been doing?
It took them some time to find another Firani dragon. Oh how Samril wished they could easily take on multiples, but they weren't having any luck with just one so no point in pushing it...
Finally, though, they found one and Sparky was good to wait for Samril's command once more. But then the silly Keindred was doing just what he had been doing every other time: chirping at the dragon, though now it sounded slightly like growls too. Was he threatening the dragon while Samril tried to actually fight the thing?
The Dovaa's mind was too busy keeping track of what was going on to ponder that at the moment. He tried his best, loading himself up with electric energy and darting about the dragon, while making sure that Sparky wasn't getting hurt. Which, luckily, this dragon was like the others they'd fought previously and completely ignoring the young Drakein and focusing on the main threat: Samril.
And sadly Samril was having little luck of his own. He was still too distracted making sure that Sparky was not coming to any harm and the Firani was able to get the Dovaa several times with a tail lash or a near-miss with a claw. This was still not going to work. Samril would have to actually practice with Sparky some, it seemed. Then perhaps they could learn better on how to fight as a team...
The boy ran and tugged on Sparky once more. It was time to flee again...
