The sun was at it's peak in the sky and the pride was at it's busiest. Everyone was active and going about their business doing what the did daily. This day was one that would be filled with adventure for one little hyena. Malaika was oh so ready to explore her daddies pride. She was new to the place and ready to see it all. She'd heard about the problems it had with a sickness that was deadly to lions. She'd been warned but also assured that it would not hurt her so she didn't need to fear the sick. No hyena had ever come down with the sickness.
That reasurance had Malaika wanting to go out and meet everyone and see everything about her new home. She had nothing to fear unlike in the rogue lands where she could have been eaten by a passing rogue. Here everyone was out to keep her and her siblings safe because they were all like a family of sorts and lived together to keep each other protected. Oh this pride stuff sure was nice. It gave her freedom to go without having an adult trailing behind her all the time.
