Despite the heavy casualties, many survived the attack but not unscathed. Those strong or even remotely close to having skill with medical ninjutsu have been dispatched in a widespread area to cover as much of the severely wounded and those in critical condition. There are others much more fortunate, though still suffering. The need water, assistance eating and someone to redress their bandages. Could you spare a hand and support these good people dealt a bad hand?

Arriving at the triage, Louisa was quickly pointed to an empty bed by a medic nin. She gently laid the guy down and made sure he was comfortable and not in danger of reopening his wounds. The Uzumaki boy from earlier had done a decent job, but Louisa knew from experience with her father that recently healed wounds could still reopen. She wrapped and bandaged a few of the man's more minor scrapes before retrieving a glass of water to set down near his bedside for when he awoke. Having done all they could think of, she walked away from his bed and looked down the line. What else could she do here?

The captain yelled, heave ho, heave ho, and tied me down with sheets,

Yuko Hyuga

After some quick introductions were made, Yuko was quick and eager to get to work. It wasn’t hard to find people who were only had minor injuries for her to treat, in fact, it looked like the doctors had already sorted the patient from the worse injuries to the most minor and from who was here the longest to who had just gotten in. It wasn’t hard to tell that some of the patients who were less injured were getting impatient to go, they were more than likely worried about friends and loved ones, not to mention wanting to help get their village back into working order so that life could go on as normal. Yuko wasn’t ignorant of the distrustful glances that were coming her way from a lot of people, her clan had been at war with theirs for some time now and animosity was always a hard thing to get rid of. Yuko did her best to accommodate their grudges with small talk and some pleasant bedside manners, she started from the front and worked her way back, the elderly and the children were her top concern as she shuffled through apparently the endless sea of people coming in to either be treated or checked out. Yuko’s main job more or less revolved around putting alcohol on the wounds and then dressing them to make sure that they didn’t get dirty. Her naturally gentle heart showed through with her patients as she was calm and gentle when she needed to be, but firm and uncompromising when she had to. There was really nobody of note with her tasks so far, most of these people were either average citizens or ninja who wanted nothing more than to go and help their comrades. With a slow but steady parade of people, and no signs of it actually letting up soon there wouldn’t likely be any rest for the weary for a while.

Yuko was just sitting down to her next patient, this person had what appeared to be nothing more than a light burn, some sort of ‘road rash’, likely from being thrown against the wall and then being dragged away in the sand afterwards, he was a lucky man all things considering. Yuko had him remove his shirt so that she could apply the ointment. The minty smelling goo was rather cold so it would be a soothing sensation, she warned him of the sting that was likely to occur before she gently applied the first little bit and let him get use to the gnaw that the medicine was going to feel like. Once she allowed him to get accustomed to that she put the rest on as quickly as she could, but she wasn’t about to sacrifice sloppiness over getting this man out the door. She bandaged him up before sending him on his way. After washing her hands of the ointment she took a deep breath and opened to door for the next person to come in.

As soon as Louisa left the first man's bedside, she found herself roped into passing out some rations to those in bed. Rolling a cart down the aisle, Louisa served each person an equal amount, making sure they were comfortable. She had one incident with a middle aged man who had a large cut along his leg that became angry that he wasn't getting more food, to which he was given a stern speech about the conditions of others in a much worse condition than he was. He settled down and apologized. Later on, Louisa helped a young girl with her food. She had broken both of her wrists and was very apologetic that Louisa had to help her. The older girl waved off her concerns. "I'm sure you would do the same if our situations were reversed, don't worry about it." She smiled and the girl thanked her as she moved on.

Opening the door at the end of the hall, Louisa noticed a girl with a strange symbol on her forehead. Her eyes were completely white too. Remembering Zasso's explanation again, she stopped her motion to grab her sword and gave the girl a smile. "Hi, are you doing alright? Hungry at all?"

Yuko Hyuga

Yuko was tidying up the room before she got her next person to help out, a clean hospital room was a good hospital room, and if the doctors ever needed to use this room in some sort of emergency then it would be ready for them. Yuko was finishing wiping down the side table where she had the ointment when someone opened the door and poked their head into the room. Yuko spun on her heel with a smile, her hands folded across her lap with a posture of elegance and grace.
”Welcome, come in and have a seat-“ Yuko was cut off when the girl, at the same time asked if she was alright and if she was hungry. ”Oh, I’m fine thank you, I’m helping out the doctors with their less critical patients. So don’t worry about me, I missed the attack, so I’m fine.”
The offer of food was something that gave Yuko a brief pause for consideration, she was hungry. Having given her earlier Danish to a young child in the hospital earlier and spreading around her hot chocolate the best she could to some of the older patients while they waited meant that she hadn’t actually eaten yet. However, the patients needed the food more than she did. It just felt wrong of her to deny them food when the village was likely at a shortage thanks to the attack. She could survive off rations and traveling water for a while longer until the food was back up to where it should be in a village this large. Yuko was firm when it came to something like this, the sick, the elderly, and the children took precedence in this sort of situation. She was younger and healthier than those mentioned previously, there was no reason she couldn’t sacrifice for them.
Yuko bowed. ”Thank you very much for the offer, but I’m fine right now. I think that the wounded need it more than I do anyway.” Yuko paused for a moment. ”Oh, forgive me, I haven’t introduced myself yet. My name is Hyuga Yuko. Is there anything that I can do for you, now? Where you hurt by the attack at all?”

Inari was never very good at even basic first aid. Medical stuff had always been so boring to him. However as he stood there watching Yuko he couldn't help but smile. She was so nice to everyone she met, even though most people seemed to despise her. It was almost calming...

It didn't take very long before he was beginning to fall asleep. Her calm aura definitely was getting to him. Then Louisa came in and he perked up, "Louisa-sama! hi hows it going?" he said with a grin.

Makoto Lung

The Doctor is Here!

Arriving at the triage with the baby he found in hand, Makoto changed out the blankets that the baby was wrapped in and handed it to one of the nurses. Makoto was quickly asked questions but made his way to the beds that needed a medic nin. He quickly moved over to one of the guys and looked him over for any injuries, finding that he had a broken arm. Reaching into his medical sack, The Uzumaki doctor set to work on the bandaging the arm whiling healing the bone directly. The bandaging would become a cast later, but for now the bone needed to be mended before it could recover. The guy was thankfully out and made the process faster for the Uzumaki then ever, he was comfortable with the fast pace work environment and focusing on not reopening his wounds. The Girl from earlier had done a good job, but he had his own people to take care of. With the bone mended from the time he gave it, he spent the next 5 minutes bandaging the arm up before it was set… the rest was up with time. Nodding to his handy work on the man, he quickly made his way to the sink and rolled of the sleeves of his favorite outfit. Using soup and warm water to remove all the germs that he had contracted from healing them man, Makoto finally reached out and took a clean cloth to dry off his hands. Nodding with a Smile, he quickly went to the next person that required medical attention, while also effortlessly gliding through the crowds of medical ninja to work on his next person. Taking the clip board for the person and looking it over at the foot of the bed, Makoto did his own little examination. It seemed this one was sick with an infection; a few of the wounds were infected. With this new knowledge, Makoto went to work by removing the infection with the mystical palm juts. Activation of the jutsu and placing his hands on the infected area, makoto spoke as he started leeching the infection out of the man’s body while healing the smaller wounds and cuts the man had taken. “Quick! I need a vial and an antibiotic for an infected man over here!“ His idea was to leech as much as he could out, with the antibiotics doing the rest while he healed his wounds. This one was going to be tough considering the man was slipping in and out of consciousness, But after the shot he was going to be okay.

While the group was chatting in the room, Yuko quietly let another patient in to get treated, though it may have been rude to do so in the middle of a conversation, she did have a task that she was given to perform, and she wasn’t about to interrupt those who were talking by shooing them away. She could learn about these people by letting them talk among themselves and she could still get some work done was well. There was also a change in the demeanour of the people that she would bring in as well, it wasn’t a large stretch of the imagination to see that these people were more comfortable around their own clan members. Though Yuko was somewhat adopted into this clan, she was still more of a stranger to the rest of these people. Midori-sama did seem to be more than eager to take her in though. Perhaps it was because of the peace treaty that they had been after for a little while now, or perhaps it was just that she was looking for more allies that she was willing to welcome anyone into the village to be a part of this clan. The thought did worry her a little bit, but she was sure that Midori-sama did have some common sense and keen eye for those who might try and destroy the clan from the inside out.
Putting such thoughts aside, Yuko started to attend to the woman who was here for minor injuries, it wasn’t really all that serious but she did dress the wound and was able to clean it up a little better before sending her on her way. Continuing to usher people in as quietly as she could so as not to interrupt the conversation at hand, she continued to bring people in so that they didn’t fall too far behind in the work. She was sure that such a thing would not make a good first impression to the Senju lord… or anyone else for that matter. She spent another good portion of the day just cleaning and dressing wounds. Knowing first ad did seem to come in handy. She was a little worried though, when was the Lord going to ask to start resuming her training again? Hmm… not a task that she was eager to fulfill, but at the same time she was a shinobi and she was going to have to learn some things to keep both her clan, and the this clans ire off of her while she was here. She would focus on more… defensive styles. She didn’t have the heart to actually kill or maim someone, a poor trait to have in a shinobi, but on the other hand, it meant that she could fill a roll in a group that perhaps others weren’t well suited for.
Yuko finished tying off the wrapping that she put on the woman’s arm and then let her out, bowing as the woman did so, she took a peak outside and wondered how many more were going to need her attention today. Hopefully there weren’t that many more that were hurt.

Yuko continued to usher people in for treatment as they line was slowly starting to dwindle at last. Most of the other people had either been helped by the doctors or were actually helping others in turn if they knew first aid. Yuko was happily working her way through the busier portions of the hospital, even having the opportunity to help out the real doctors with some minor things, like getting instruments ready for surgeries or even helping sooth or distract some of the younger patients that they had. She was slowly but steadily building a reputation around this part of the ward similar to the one that she had been dubbed in her own clan. As the day made its slow march on, she was finding it more and more difficult to ignore her growing hunger or the fatigue that was starting to creep in on her. There was still so much to do and she did want to make a good first impression to a lot of these people who were possibly going to be assimilated into her clan… or vice versa, she supposed. Regardless, she was now a member of this clan and she was determined to do her part as she did in her own clan. After dressing another wound of an older gentleman, she decided that it was the best time to take a small break for herself, she eagerly sat down and was instantly relieved at the weight that had been taken off of her feet for the first time sense she got up this morning to finish he walk. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the wall of room. Man… this was more work than she thought, it wasn’t difficult work, but it was time consuming and constant. It would be one thing if the patients came in with small bursts but there was just a steady stream of people who were coming in and out. She had a new found respect for those who did this on a day to day basis, it was a wonder that the nurses didn’t collapse throughout the day. Then again, they were probably use to it by now, Yuko hoped that they were eased into this sort of job. She wondered if the Midori-sama was going to need her anywhere else today as well? She did mention something about shelter or the like, though Yuko had to admit that when it came to carpentry, she was about as useful as a dancing two left footed duck… she couldn’t tell the difference between tools at the best of times, she barely knew the difference between a hammer and a screwdriver. Granted, if they were on a fishing boat, then she would be able to navigate the tools and what not no problem. Though… she wondered if she was going to be able to put that sort of thing to use in this situation? Surely a lashed together shelter was going to be just as held together as anything else…
Ugh… first thing was first though, she needed to get this job finished first….
With a tired groan, Yuko sat back up again and pushed forwards and leveled herself up once more before going back to tend to the patients once more.

Inari

Inari wasn't very good at sitting still. As the hours past and still more patients came in Inari spent his time ding what he did best. Playing harmless pranks on those in less pain and even less spirits. That and taking a nap or two. After all making others laugh was hard work and he had been up all night.

As time came around for rations to be passed out again he looked to make sure his charge was busily bandaging a busted old man. Silently as he could he slipped out of the room and headed toward the smell of food.

Alon the way he found a young girl crying in a nearby room. Immediately he stopped and walked in. "Hey there little one whats the matter?" he asked. Immediately the idiocy of his question struck him. There was probably alot wrong. "N... never mind i can probably guess... um... here let me see if I can't cheer you up." he said with a grin.

The gril looked up from her crying, "I want to help but noon will let me." she pleaded. Immediately taking the boy aback. She had been one of the lucky ones apparently. Explaining that her mother and father were out helping and had left her there to rest and stay safe.

Dropping down he pulled a chunk of rock from his pocket. "bet this looks nice and boring huh. Well watch this..." he said with a grin. Setting the rock down he placed his hands together in the sign of the snake. Slowly focusing chakra to his hands he smiled, "Earthen grasp" he said quietly. Then reaching down he picked up the rock and squeezed it. "This plain old boring rock isn't very good for anything is it? but its far more then it seems." he began beginning to rub at the surface of the rock. Slowly blue crystal began to surface from beneath the rock. "Given time it becomes something different, and far more useful to boot. If you wait a few more years you can help out. But right now you would only be a rock in the middle of the road. Just like this one, moved aside so others may pass. Give it some time, you will be useful in the future." he said with a smile.

Reaching out he handed the girl the gem, which now had a symbol on its surface. His jutsu wasn't meant to handle crystal but he had managed to do it, though it had taken some time. Taking it the girl marveled at its shining light blue surface. "O-ok I'll try." she said quietly. She did seem to be in a far better mood at least. "All right well I'm off try to stay out of trouble, then youd be a rival and I would have to prank you relentlessly." he said with a grin. With a giggle the girl agreed and he was on his way.

After getting some food he made his way back to the medical room. Where as usual he found Yuko working on a patient with some kind of injury. "Hey there, hungry? I got some food, its not the tastiest but we can't be real picky." he chuckled setting down her portion and taking a seat on the floor with his. Outside the door he could hear people talking about a pink haired girl trying to rebuild. Instead it seemed she was hammering everything but the nails. "Oh great... thats the clan head for you..." he sighed.

"Oh, thank you Inari-san.” Yuko replied as she looked over her shoulder with a gentle smile, now that was what the doctor had ordered. “I’ll eat once I finish this up, it should only take a minute.”
Yuko, true to her word, quickly finished tying off the wrap and sent the person on their way. She took a seat on the bed and picked up her plate. She started to slowly pick at her food with a restraint that belied her hunger, wolfing something down wasn’t very lady like at all, not to mention she was sure that there would be other members of the clan that were not too far away in other beds who would be rather… disfavouring… with such a display. The food may have been really, really, bland and overall not very appetizing but it was better than the trail rations she had been eating for the past week, so she really didn’t have any complaints. When Inari mentioned something about the head of the clan and looked a little exasperated, she tilted her head slightly to the left and gave him a puzzled look.
“What do you mean? Midori-sama looked like she could take care of herself, what’s with the exasperation?”
Yuko hadn’t actually met the clan head of the Aramori clan, actually, she hadn’t really met anyone yet outside of Midori, Inari and a quick introduction to Louisa she hadn’t had the chance to actually get to know anyone else yet. Though there was a large possibility that Yuko’s first aid skills were going to be needed with this other member of the Aramori clan.
It was nice to sit down again and have something to eat. She looked around and was thankful that the people were starting to thin out quite a bit, it was finally slowly down which meant that the bulk of the injured had been treated right now and the doctors would soon be able to take care of these people without much more assistance.

Inari thought about midori in the situations his clan head was so well known for and he nearly choked on is food in laughter. Having to calm down and swallow his food first he then burst out laughing. Finally he could speak again and he wiped his eyes.

"No, no, Midori-sama is definitely capable of taking care of herself. However she is the senju clan head. I am an Aramori, we kinda moved in some time ago. We answer to the senju clan head yes, but our real clan head is someone else. From the sound of things she's trying to help rebuild... which may increase the number of patients for you. So we should probably go stop her." he said with a chuckle.

Finishing up his food he stood up, "Would you like to meet her? She's a bit clumsy but she's a great person." he said with a grin. Well clumsy is one way of putting it i guess. he thought to himself. "Anyway when your done we can go meet her. I should probably help rebuild too." he said scratching his head.

Yuko Hyuga

At first, Yuko was a little flustered that she possibly said something foolish, but when Inari informed her about who it was she was talking about, Yuko did relax a little bit as she was filled in on what she had been missing out on. She continued to eat her food slowly, and even after Inari devoured his portions he would have to wait a few minutes to actually be able to go as she was still finishing up her meal. This woman sounded… a little dangerous in her own way… perhaps it would be advantageous to bring a first aid kit with them.
“Oh, so the Aramori clan isn’t a branch of the Senju? I assume that you entered the peace treaty with the Senju as well then?” Yuko wasn’t sure if she totally understood the situation, she had never heard of the Aramori clan before and she certainly didn’t want to offend the boy by saying so. She placed her empty plate to the side with the rest of the used dishes used by previous patients. “I would love to meet this Leader of your clan. Although… I must admit that I’m not at all handy with tools…”
Yuko deflated ever so slightly, she was going to be of little use to this project unfortunately. But she supposed there was something that could be done in order to help out. Yuko folded her hands in front of her lap as she looked over to Inari to lead the way, she was sure that the doctors would be able to handle the people here now, and she could always come back to see if they needed help again. Shelter was important too. “I don’t really know where this residential site is, so I’ll let you lead the way. I may be coming back periodically to see if I can help back here again though. Like I said, me and construction tools are not on familiar terms with each other.”

Inari sighed looking out the window, "Sadly no we didn't enter this peace treaty. Or at least not by choice. You probably noticed how well I'm taking the destruction here? Well thats because it's not the first time I've seen it." he said rubbing his eyes as memories of that night flooded in.

Inari leaned back against the wall noticing that Yuko would be eating for a time longer. "The aramori are not a branch of the senju, we are refugees. We had our own village, our own way of life. However the uchiha clan burned our village to the ground. Not many of us survived." he explained placing his hands in his pockets so she wouldn't see them clenched into fists.

He seemed to cheer up quickly, "That was some time ago though. Time goes on." As she finished eating he nodded, "Alrighty then lets go, and don't worry, you don't need to hammer to be helpful. And I'm no good with medical mumbo so i can't blame you for headin' back." he said with a grin. Turning he headed out the door on his way.
