"Remember what I told you, Sparky," Samril reminded the Keindred as they searched for another Firani. Samril hadn't come all this way to give up so easily. No, he was going to try again, but he'd spent some time first with the young Drakein to explain what they were doing. Or hopefully explain it to the youngling. Sparky had been more interested in the pettings that Samril was giving him to keep the Keindred still than the words spilling forth from the Dovaa's mouth.
Sparky chirrrrped in response to Samril's talking, nudging his head at the boy's hand again for more petting. Samril gave the Keindred a quick pat, then pulled his hand away to point at another lone Firani. "There. That one." He pulled on his gloves, glad to see that Sparky wasn't running straight in this time. Once ready, he gave a nod to Sparky and the two started to move in.
Later, Samril could only say that it was at least somewhat better than their last battle. While Sparky held off and waited for Samril to run in first, the Keindred was still too excited to actually do anything effective and kept chirping at the large dragon happily.
The Firani largely ignored the little Kiandri Keindred and focused on Samril, which was not helpful for Samril when he was stuck trying to beat the dragon largely by himself as Sparky wasn't exactly helping.
Once again, it didn't take too long before the pair was in some trouble. Samril sighed and made his way over to Sparky again. "C'mon Sparky... RUN!" However, the Keindred just gave his Bonded a confused look. Run? But... fight!
"Fight! Fight!" The young Drakein chirped, startling Samril a bit.
"No... RUN RUN! Fight later!" Samril tugged at the Keindred's neck and a bit more commands and they were finally running away from the Firani.
