The older stallion walked slowly through the forest feeling a little weary then again he always was this way. It wasn't a guess that he was getting old. Everyone in the herd could see it and they knew it for that matter. He passed down his position to Gabriel, his only worthy student and he felt like it was the best move he could have ever down. Though now...he didn't have many things to do. He wasn't a social creature and the more he talked to someone the more aggravated or bored he would get. His life was battle or training someone for that battle.Right now there wasn't anyone. He was just wandering through his herd lands feeling like today was going to be a very long day.
As he passed by the herds totem, he looked out at the unfamiliar land in the distance. Even with his age, he rarely traveled outside of the herd lands for a reason. There wasn't anything to protect out there and the mares in the herd were more important. Nothing else mattered in his life. He made that vow to his mother and also to the herd mother. Not only that, but his sister had just recently given birth to three colts. There was no way in hell he was going far from this area now. Foals always kept him closer to make sure he could protect them.
Snorting at the thought of his sister having kids and decided to be bold today. He walked out of the herd lands, but kept close to the edge. He wasn't too far, he just wanted to see what some of the world was like outside of the depth of the forest.

A cool erie day hung over the land. The sky looked lifeless and grey from the cold. It would likely snow today. The land was wet from a previous melted snowfall. For one multi-colored stallion, it just pissed him off. The winter had caused critters to hibernate, and the hopes of snagging another kalonas leftovers were scarce. He had to resort to eating grass. Nasty, wet, cold grass. Eating this is a better alternative than starving. Which he had tried to withstand as long as his stubbornness would let him."This is bullshit.." he said out loud and to himself. The desire for meat was at it's strongest. It put him in the foulest of moods. He neared the edge of an unknown area, trying to find dry patches of grass. Disgusting stuff that it was, it was worse when clinging to mud. The smell of another sparked his senses. He snarled and flexed out his tattered-battle worn wings. Someone was there alright. His heart sped up, and his anger began to advance. So easily stirred was this stallion. "What the ******** are you staring at..." It wasn't even a question, but an accusation. Even if the stranger hadn't been looking at him at all. It didn't matter. He was there, invading Vapor's personal space, even if he wasn't close at all! Anything to make a fuss over.
Different day...same bad mouthed stallion.

His gaze on the other stallion soon turned to be a narrowed glare and he wasn't happy. Even if the other couldn't see his eyes thanks to his bangs, his glare bore into the others soul like he was trying to set it on fire. It didn't take much to set Jeremiah's mood off, but when someone did it could be deadly. Not only was this stallion being rude, he was being arrogant as well. Replaying the words in his mind, he took a small step forward and gritted his teeth a little bit. He could only expect such volatile words to come from a member of the kalona race. He didn't like judging others, but to him all outsiders were poison. Even if they didn't do anything to him, he didn't care for much outside of his immediate family. "I wasn't staring..I was merely observing." He told him through gritted teeth as he stood his ground before the stallion.
Even though the other was showing clear physical signs that he could easily injure Jeremiah, he wasn't scared one bit. He didn't even have that emotion in his body anymore or at least not that he could remember. It had been a very long time since he had even felt some kind of fear. "I suggest you continue on your way and leave the rude comments for the next Soquili." He said to the other as his expression went back to being the usual stoic one that he always carried. He wasn't in the mood now to mess with an a bad mannered kalona. He wasn't going to have it even if the other didn't know it or not.

Vapor curled a lip that quivered over his sharp teeth. Why could he have not just done as Vapor said. No. It was never that easy. Lifting his haunches and swishing his tail like a pissed off mountain cat, he barked a response: "No, ******** face. I believe I will do as I please, and stay right. Here." His eyes glowered as he took one step closer to the stranger. Half of him had thought to just run up and push him down. The other half of his instinct told him to not move in so quickly till he knew his opponent well.
Vapor half expected him to push on and mind his own business. He didn't have any clue that this was his territory, or close to it at least. Territory seemed to change the attitude of those that meant to protect it. Not like he was off terrorizing the mares and the foals, so he didn't expect a hasty reaction. Not yet...
Vapor charged a few more quick steps at him, and then slowed to step to the side and growl. He was seeing how easily he could spook him without getting too close. "Whatcha gonna do fluff-butt?" He anxiously held all four hooves to the ground, defensively waiting for whatever might happen next.

Shaking his head at the stallion before him, he grimaced in a bit of disbelief not understanding why he was so angry let alone a complete a*****e. Maybe it was because he was a kalona, but even so Jeremiah didn't think all kalona's were like this. After all, his sister's sons weren't really like this individual. To each their own, he assumed. "I can do a lot of things, but I am going to get by you in one way or another. I don't play games nor do I like those that are defiant or just..stubborn." He told the other as he slowly began to approach the stallion peeking at him from under his bangs. He didn't want to have a fight, but sometimes it's something that needed to be done. He wasn't going to just avoid this kind of situation. "Do you really want this to lead to a brawl? I honestly have no reason to fight you and something as stupid as this shouldn't be grounds for a fight." He told the other in a gruff tone before flicking his long mane over his shoulder wonder what the other was going to do next.
"But you leave me no choice. If I am to get pass and knock some manners or sense into you then I will do what I have to do." He then stood there firm and stared at the stallion from under his bangs. He spoke in a chant like manner and without warning, he bolted towards the kalona stallion.

Vapor held his tough guy stance for only a few moments more. In a flash, his stance changed. That stallion was charging after him?! This was a first. He hadn't ever been charged at by another like this. His brain tried to make sense of what to do, quickly, and got quite confused. "What the fu..." He looked like a bird as he flapped and twitched, trying to escape, but he was no bird. It took time to take off for one that was as heavy as he, and the holes in his wings made that ascent even harder. He sat back on both his hind legs, bringing his legs up to try and lift himself further off the ground. That was a mistake. His chest was now exposes, and the crazy stranger would likely collide straight into him.
Damnit!! Vapor gave a last moment plea. What had he gotten himself into? He would soon find out, even if he didn't want to!
