Some things are irrelevant...
My age is one of them. I appear to be in my mid-twenties.
I stand at six feet and five inches.
I have nothing to hide...
I was born from the union of a werewolf and vampire, a forbidden love to say the least. My father was a Child of the Moon, a mere servant in Lycan society. My mother? Well, she was not just any Daughter of the Night. No, she was a princess. Father was captured by the Vampires and kept in their dungeons as bargaining material. Too bad for them that the man whom they had captured was of such little worth. Of course, the werewolves would not let this be known to their enemies. If Seferious ever made it out alive he might just prove useful to them.
No one expected events to unfold as they did, but who ever does? Mother wished to get away from court life for a moment and went somewhere she thought no one would find her. That's how my parents first met, in the dank cellars of our family's castle. At first, they were at odds with each other, ready to attack-or try to- at the slightest provocation. Such was how they had been raised after all. They were taught to be enemies for reasons long forgotten. It was as though conflict between the two races, Lycan and Vampire, had been etched into their very being. In the beginning they flung insult after insult and threat after threat at each other. Seleni held the upper hand, for obvious reasons, but some part of her had been...enchanted by the male.
Much to the father's distaste, the woman continued to venture down to his cellar and disturb him. As time passed the exchanges between them simmered down to heated debates and then, finally, just normal conversations. Some would argue that the two of them simply grew on each other while another might say it was fate. Whatever the case, they fell in love. That was the beginning of the end. An emotion meant to be so wonderful triggered the downfall of their current empire, of the society which they so carefully preserved.
Their meetings were always a secret, Seleni, my mother, was a master of stealth and secrecy. It was part of what made her so valuable to the Rozen clan, that and her royal blood. Royal functions and the like had long been boring to mother though, and now she had a reason to escape. She waited for the perfect moment to flee with her love and, several months later, it came. A fight erupted at the border of their lands, one which called nearly every one of the soldiers they had as it grew closer to the castle. Seleni's own plan formed almost the instant she had learned of this and it was orchestrated perfectly by the duo of herself and Seferious. They sought refuge in the chaos, cloaked themselves in the danger of the fight and escaped when no one would even think such a thing would happen.
The two were happy for a time, after a couple years they had a son, myself. Life was perfect. It was their 'happily ever after,' but, as we all know, happily ever after never lasts. The wolves found our home first, but mother and I had been away at the time, hunting. They slaughtered my father, tore his body to shreds and painted the ground red with his blood. Distraught over the loss of her love, Seleni didn't notice the appearance of her own people. I was too young to realize that they were a threat...well, until it was too late.
Being of noble birth, mother was offered another chance. The condition? Hand me over to them, give them the 'half-breed scum' to do with as they pleased. She refused and fought her hardest to protect me. I remember her yelling at me to run and my feet pounding against the earthen floor as I did so. I remember the fear which coursed through my entire being. Mother's strength was not enough to fend them off for long, it was not enough to win against a dozen of her own kind. Especially when each of them held a weapon. Soon enough, I was captured.
I did not belong wholly to either race, and so both considered me to be beneath them. In their eyes, I was lower than the humans they used as food. The Vampires treated me as their property. They made me a slave and made sure I knew exactly what my status was. They took every opportunity to torture me, whether it be a misspoken word, a mistaken glance or something more serious. They thought this would 'break' me. They were wrong.
One can only be pushed so far before they retaliate, I was no different. In attacking them I realized something, something neither race had anticipated. Having the powers of both my parents, I far surpassed the strength of even the strongest vampire or lycan by tenfold. I killed the leaders of both races, slaughtered them as they had my parents and claimed the title of 'king.' The races were united, but there would not be peace. Not yet. They had tortured my mother and father, killed them in the cruelest of ways and then treated me as dirt. Less than dirt. I wanted my revenge.
I was not so cruel as to punish the ones who had nothing to do with those events though. It was children, mainly, whom I spared. Those among the adults who swore to obey me were given a second chance as well. I took the children under my wing; treated them as my own. They had not yet been tainted by the beliefs of their elders. I raised them in the same way my parents had raised me. They became my family, my life. I loved them and they me, I learned to trust again.
Many years have passed since I took over. The children have long since grown up and are knowledgeable in the ways of running my kingdom. They have also decided that I must take a break and relax. Despite my best protests, they stood firm about this. Without somewhere for me to venture to, there was nothing they could do though. Several years, possibly centuries, later I received a letter inviting me to some place called 'Trinity Castle.' After much persistence on their part, I finally agreed to go. They know how and where to reach me if they must. Until such a time, or until I grow bored; I will remain here. I doubt any matters will arise though.
Why should I change?
I can be kind, I usually am unless given a reason not to be. Kindness does not denote friendship though. For me to consider calling you such a thing you must have my trust, and trust is something that must be earned. If I give you something to do and you don't you had better have a good reason why. Just because I've been on that end of the whip doesn't mean I will be more lenient when it comes to you. I simply have more of an understanding on how you might feel. Besides, it's not like I'm going to treat you like dirt. Don't anger me. Ever. I do have a temper and it is not something you would like to see.
Powers
I can change, either partially or fully, into a wolf whenever I please.
My strength and agility are ten times greater than that of a normal vampire or werewolf.
When I feed from a live source, and, yes, I do mean drinking their blood, I can see...things about them. Thoughts, memories, fears...everything. My source can keep nothing hidden from me.
I also possess abilities which are common to either a vampire or a lycan. Heightened senses, for example.
These are the people I call my own...
I haven't found anyone yet. I am sure I will soon though.
Shall we call this the fine print?
Since I am descended from both vampires and lycans, I can, for the most part, survive on the sustenance of either race. I prefer 'normal' foods when they are available. I must, however, feed on the blood of a living creature once a month. The food of my lycan side is so readily available that I have not yet witnessed the consequences of going without it for an extended period of time.
