Why don't we start with the basics?
Female, isn't it obvious?
What does time matter when you are immortal? I have been told that I appear to be in my early twenties though.
Six feet and two inches, I'm tall and I love it.
One hundred and fifty-seven pounds.
My story? Sure, why not...
Some things cannot be changed no matter how hard one tries to do so. Only some though. The future is not set in stone and, at times, neither is the past. Often times, there is no need to change events which have unfolded though. The things we experience, both good and bad, make us who we are. There have been several events in my life thus far that I wish would have unfolded in a different way. Even if I had the power to do so, I would not change them though. I am proud of who I am and my accomplishments.
Shall we delve a little deeper?
I was abandoned as a child; a newborn babe left to face the world alone. I do not resent my parents for doing this. Strange as it might seem, I am actually a little grateful. If they hadn't left me there I never would have met my adoptive mother and guardian. I never would have learned the things I did. Most importantly, I wouldn't have become me. I am, however, curious as to what would have happened if they kept me. I suppose that will just have to remain a mystery though....
I am the result of a forbidden union. My mother was treated as less than human after she was captured. That's right, my mother was a slave. My father? He was her seventeenth master, and the first to treat her kindly. Classic, isn't it? A master and slave falling in love? That's not the reason why their relationship was not allowed though. My father had not always been a noble, you see. Like mother, he had been a peasant once upon a time too. That was before the Oracle's prophecy.
Oh shush, you'll find out what that was soon enough.
So, thanks to the Oracle, my father became a noble. The prophecy also made him the most feared and most desired man in our kingdom. He was showered with gifts which ranged from items like clothes or jewelry to servants, animals, and even a mansion. Why yes, my mother was one of the many gifts he received. Funny thing, isn't it? People giving other people as gifts. Well, it is normal in some societies though. In fact, it was normal in practically every place I went to. I've found several things to be universal throughout all cultures. Slavery is one of those things, even if that's not what they call it. Yeah, yeah, I know, I got sidetracked. Shut up.
Now, where was I? Ah, yes, talking about dad. You see, it wasn't actually him they cared about. It was who he could bring about, me. Sort of. Dad was destined to be the father of a progenitor of several species. No, I'm not telling you which ones. I doubt you've even heard of some of them anyway. Anyhow, everyone wanted to have that person in their lineage...or rather, they wanted the power which they believed could come from it. See, I told you you would find out about the prophecy soon. Well, that was only part of it actually....
It was also foretold that his child would become a destroyer of sorts. Can't have new without getting rid of the old, right? That's why mom and dad left me where they did, they were afraid of what I would do to them and those they cared about. What our lovely Oracle failed to realize is that she had actually received two prophecies. One for each of his children. The destroyer was to be father's second child, my younger brother. This mistake was what drove me to create some of the things I did.
I was found, and raised, by an intriguing female. Her name is Neferi and I love her dearly. Nowadays, she is known as a Sphinx. The first nine years of my life were spent solely in her company, those times were wonderful. Here's a fun fact for you, I matured faster than most races in existence at that time. By age seven, I was the human equivalent of twenty-three. I had already mastered many of my powers thanks to Neferi's' teachings, but I was also curious about the world and the people within it. When I turned eight she began instructing me in different fighting styles which she had observed over her many years. I learned of my brother at age nine, he was ready to claim his birthright. The first step in his plan was killing me...
Like me, he aged much faster than a human. What caused him to turn out the way he did is still a mystery though. From what I have gathered, he was raised in a loving home...and somewhat spoiled. Perhaps it was just his nature to destroy, like how it is my nature to create. I don't know really, and it doesn't matter anymore. We fought for many months, a battle which shook the heavens and caused the earth to tremble, and, in the end, I came out victorious. I didn't kill him, mind you. Such a thing would be against my nature, Instead, I cursed him to live his life over from the beginning...with a few conditions. This time, I would raise him though...
One power we share is that which allows us to change our shape. Part of my curse caused his default form to be that of an animal. In his new life, my brother started out as a tiger cub.
After our battle, I took him away with me and created a home for only us. It was an island, peaceful in nature and detached from the outside world. In time, others found their way to my island and I allowed them sanctuary. With my brother's help, I put up a barrier around our home as well. It would prevent anyone who would bring discord to our island from finding us. Kovu and I lived there for many centuries. I taught him how to control his powers and right from wrong as well.
Every decade or so we would venture out to see how the outside world had changed. We would spend anywhere from a few years to a couple decades in the outside world and then return to the island. I found love many times, but never with an immortal. My children were given a choice once they were old enough, they could remain on the island with me or they could live in the ever-changing outside world. Many of them chose to leave. I would visit them when I could though, or they would visit me. Unfortunately, I lost contact with many of my children over the last several millennia.
It was during one of these visits that my brother and I each received an invitation to a place called 'Trinity Castle.' The proposition was interesting, but did we really want to spend so much longer away from home? At that time, it had already been a decade since we had last departed our island. After many discussions, Kovu and I finally decided that we would remain...for a time anyway. Both of us were curious as to what this place would be like. Interestingly enough, I came across one of my daughters as I was arriving. She told me that her son had chosen to remain in this place for the time being. I look forward to meeting him at some point. I do not distinguish between children or grandchildren and the like by the way, it is far too troublesome to keep track of such titles.
My, you want to know everything, don't you?
I am kind unless angered, but don't expect me to be a pushover. I won't bow to anyone and I expect the things I ask to be done when I ask it. I have had thousands of years to perfect my patience, notice that I didn't say I have perfected it. I don't like to be kept waiting for long. I have a strong sense of justice and am not afraid to step in if I think someone is in need of help. I am not 'all-powerful' and I know it, the only way I would act uncouth is if you did so first. I have a few trust issues. If you want to get to know me, fine. If you press too hard for an answer I don't want to give I'll bite your head off.
Well, I guess it's no secret...
I can change my hair and eye color as well as my physical form at will. They may change based on my mood as well, that is usually only the former two though.
I am able to control the elements in all of their forms.
I can control time to a certain degree. While I cannot venture back more than a couple weeks, I am able to stop it completely for brief periods.
I possess the ability to 'step out' of my body, so to speak. I become a spirit at these times and am able to traverse great distances in much less time than they would normally require. Only those who are spirits themselves, possess a similar ability or those who are blessed with the power to see spirits will be able to notice me at these times.
What about pets? Oh, that...
No, none have have peaked my interest enough yet. Would you like to try?
