The game was simple. Elder hunters gave the newer ones names and faces and told the newbies to go dig up some dirt. It was one large part game, one small part training. For deaths and mists, the reward was something akin to experience and the knowledge of what you found out… combined with maybe the approval your hunter superiors or seniors. If you failed however… well death always kept track of those who were expendable after all. If hunter that got caught while doing basic information gathering? Well, it wasn’t looking like they would be a very useful hunter now does it? Still, a game was a game, if an informal training. The reality was that if caught it was likely you’d get a bit of laughter behind your back along with someone winning a bet. Peen points mostly on the line, trainees and hunters alike played the game of Intel Assassin. Who was going to come out on top as the Master Assassin has yet to be seen… Rumor had it that the title would only be obtained if you could gather Intel of Death himself. Quote: HOW TO PLAY:ICly your hunter gets the picture and name of their ‘target’ form either a random older ranked hunter or from some other player as a challenge. Hunters/trainees are then to go out and gain information from their target without being noticed/seen. This is done via dice rolls and quotes. Part one is to establish a target. The ‘target’ is quoted in thread and notified that they are being stalked for information. The ‘assassin’ meanwhile rolls dice to determine how much info they hear from the targeted hunter. OoCly players can determine what is learned, or, it can all be written as vague/handwaved. Dice Results for intel gathering: Use 1d6 if death, 1d4 for mist. Roll a 1: Wow you learned their favorite color. You tried.Roll a 2: Nothing new learned, you still got information… technically. Nobody is impressed. Roll a 3: You got some info but not much. Considered acceptable by game standards. Roll a 4: You’ve gotten a fair bit of info. Above average for most of your rank and division. Roll a 5: JACKPOT! You learn something brand new and rather juicy bits of info on the hunter. Roll a 6: You might have just learned uh… too much.. Talk about TMI. Part two is escaping with your information. The ‘target’ rolls 1d20 along with their ‘assassin’. Simple, the one with the higher roll wins! If the ‘target’ wins, they discover their would be intel ‘assassin’. If the ‘assassin’ wins they escape the area without being seen/caught! If you are targeting a random, faceless hunter, you may roll 2d20 in one post instead. The first dice is your roll and the second is the target's. The game can end at any point. If competing, the game ends with the first person to hit 3 successful ‘assassinations’. If soloing, the best score is how many you can ‘assassinate’ in a row!

Molly was rather surprised when a higher ranking Hunter thrust a name and a picture at her and then told her to go dig up some information. Well…Molly never disobeyed orders…but…sneaking around and spying on people? That seemed… awfully rude. Oh wait…that’s what the Death Division did…and as a Mist she should know…sigh. Oh well. Time to look at it as training. Looking over the picture and name again…Oh! Oh wow…she knew this one! Still, it somehow didn’t feel right to know that she was stalking Jeremy…hmmm. Well…maybe she could find something out for his birthday! Cheered up by this thought, Molly went off to stalk. (fOuO)f Okay well…on second thought, she didn’t think she was very good at this…because she was hiding behind a large fake fern somewhere in the main building. Luckily wearing all that green seemed to pay off…except she happened to forget that her hair was a rather bright shade of strawberry- blonde. With her target in sight thought, Molly whipped out her equally green planner and observed the wild Jeremy in his natural environment, hoping to learn something new. From behind a giant fern. Enoh Love Prey #1: Jeremy Roll: You got some info but not much. Considered acceptable by game standards.

Solia was staring at the photo and name she’d been given. He looked like a real assassin what with that hood. He had a hidden blade as a weapon. And Deyrk Bond? Bond. Just- This guy. Secret Agent Assassin. Solia wasn’t quite sure she could do it. Heck, she wasn’t sure if she should be even trying this kind of thing. It was a bit mean, to creeper stalk. ….never mind that she did it daily anyway. Solia justified her creeping on couples as valid shipping need to know. That was not mean that was just for shipping. Totally legit. Totally different. Still, she wanted to be the best, like no one ever was. And if that meant hunting down another deathie for information she’d do it. She’d get the info and get out. Maybe. He was in the cafeteria when she ran across him, and with not a lot of places to hide Solia took the option not many might have expected. She began to sneak under the tables. One nice thing about being so tiny at the very least. People didn’t always notice little white coated girls shuffling underfoot. Once close enough, Solia tried her best to hear something to take back.

Deryk was just getting his obligatory 5th cup of coffee for the day as he hung around the cafeteria. He was also considering what else he should grab before continuing on with his normal duties. While he was there, he wasn't really mingling with any of the other hunters. Lately he had been keeping more to himself, not really up for talking a whole lot. In other words, he was still pretty stressed over all, without much as a real outlet. With his coffee and a donut, he just plopped himself into an empty seat and just took some time to relax. Well. He tried at least. He was still kind of fidgety. And he was... very. Very. Unaware of his surroundings apparently.

Brown eyes stared at her target. What secrets did this assassin have? Was that an apple donut? No? She took a few small pictures with her phone, made some mental notes. Anxious, drinks coffee, one was the loneliest number why did he sit alone that was just sad. Lacking eagle vision, she also had no elf eyes by which to see the path of escape. But she was a deathie. She would not be bound by tables and chairs. She was also a creeper shipper. This was nothing like climbing into trees to watch someone’s date while trying to relay how it was going like it was some kind of football game. This was a game of chairs, (and tables), and either she would either win or make a hell of a lot of noise and get caught. Sneaking under the tables was fine until she managed to reach the cafeteria exit. At which point in her excited state of reaching the last leg, she crashed into a chair before dashing through the doors and down the hall. So pro.

Deryk was unaware that he was being watched. Granted, he did hear that loud crash, which made him jump in surprise. Turning to try and see what caused it though, he saw no one around that could have done that. Furrowing his brow, he shifted uneasily in his seat.
What the hell was that all about?
Maybe he should go back to his room. And that's exactly what he did.

It was a little later that day that Deryk was given a name and face to go stalk essentially. He was... a little weirded out by this game/training exercise. Yes, it was good to learn more about your comrades and such, but he figured it would be better to just... talk to them for that. Oh well. Looking at who he needed to hunt down, he furrowed his brow as he realized it was Otto. Oh boy. He better not get caught. Biting his lower lip, he tried to think of where he might be able to find the kid. He took note of what room he had in the dorms. Heading outside, he went to find the windows to said room. Oh right. Second floor. Fidgeting a bit, he looked around, then started to try and scale the wall towards the window. He struggled a good amount. The hunter needed to practice climbing things more. Seriously. Especially if he was going to be donning this assassin hood thing. After a number of attempts, and several near falls, he clutched onto the window sill and peeked in. Otto better be in.

A poster on the wall of a hot brunette posed on an old car. A giant pile of random assorted pillows on the area rug. A drum set, a bed with way too many blankets for one person, and several lamps and night lights scattered in various corners of the room. It was clean for the most part, small messes here and there. Piles of clothes discarded near his closet, questionable magazines sticking out from under the bed.
Otto looked like he'd just had a shower, sitting on his couch in sweat pants, crouched over as he clipped his toenails. From the window, it looked like he was talking to himself. In reality? He was singing to himself. The occasional head bobbing gave it away, really. Actually, he looked really into it. If one could read lips, or lean close enough to the small opening in the window, one could hear...
Call Me Maybe.

Oh good. Otto was in. It made climbing up to this window (hopefully) worth it. It didn't seem like a whole lot at first, though Deryk took some time to examine everything that he could. Were... those night lights? The death intermediate blinked, then noticed a few dirty magazines about as well. But what disturbed him further was... that he was singing?
Leaning in, he pressed his ear against the window.
Yes. He was singing. Call me Maybe. He didn't even...
He had no idea what to think about this. Enough that it distracted him from.. well. Trying to flee right then and there.

The singing suddenly stopped. Otto seemed to be grouching about something as he grabbed his phone from the coffee table. Soon, Deryk got a message. Blade Kuroda I see your reflection from the glass table top, nerd. You're a dead man. Run. Looking back up, Otto was no where in sight.

Feeling his phone go off, Deryk checked it quick and soon paled. Oh s**t. He was caught. Quickly, he turned back to the room to see that Otto had disappeared. Letting out a shriek, he let go of the window... and fell flat on his back. With the wind knocked out of him, he struggled to get back up to his feet. But he was booking it as fast as he could.

Oh, so this was why Deryk was stalking him like a creeper? Well, it didn't stop Otto from deciding how to best kill the fellow blonde, but now he at least knew there was a valid reason. If Deryk didn't want to die, he should have known better than to get caught. Loser.
So, to brush up on his own skills, Otto decided to do this exercise too.
And oh... what a target.
Rep. Really? Well, this could end badly or amazingly. Rep seemed like he had a treasure trove of secrets he could pluck. He knew the Sun roomed with two other hunters. But sneaking in there, the chances of being seen went up by 3. So Otto looked through the registries for Rep's original room. Never know! Might find something juicy and left behind.
Otto found the trainee's old room, inspecting it for all it was. Locked. Like.. very locked. Damn. Well.. there were other means of information gathering. Places he could find the man and see what he was up to. The training field, for example.
He'd find dirt under the dirt of those crusty fingernails of truth.

Rep was at the training fields, which was unfortunate, he'd just arrived and was getting set up with a dummy, Otto had just missed him leaving his storeroom, evidenced by the unopened can of Irn-bru he had with him, he set it with his coat off to one side.
He summoned Tracey in his left hand, and then paused in his tracks, seemingly glancing down at something on that hand. He stuck the massive axe in the ground and very very carefully took a ring off one of his fingers, placing it on top of his coat, right in the middle of the sun emblem.
Then he picked the axe back up and turned his attention back to the target.

Rep was so easy to find. It was almost too easy, really. Otto lurked in the shadows, or as much shadow as a foggy day could bring. He watched idly as Rep prepared himself for a day of solitary training when a small gesture caught his eyes.
Was that a... ring?
Bling was one thing, but this seemed different. But, maybe all it really was was bling after all, right? Still, that was some keen and careful attention to keep that small thing safe from harm.
While it wasn't much, info was info. Otto slinked off without being heard or seen with what little he had gathered.

Normally, Jake wouldn't bother with these kind of things, but, well, he did need more training, and this looked somewhat promising. When he found out who his target was, he grinned. Well, he had been meaning to get some dirt on her. Maybe even things out a little between them.
Already knowing the redhead tended to not lock her door, he headed towards her room, keeping an eye open to make sure no one was watching him. Pressing his ear against the door, he listened to see if she was in, and when satisfied, slowly opened the door.Rown 5. JACKPOT! You learn something brand new and rather juicy bits of info on the hunter.
