Additional Information:

The Yeulvr generally live in large tribal clusters that the Kandaran Humans call: "Hives." These groups range in size from hundred to innumerable thousands and most rarely are the clusters smaller the eighty. Most Hives consist of 200 to 300 Yeulvr, each supplying different needs for different jobs. Their diet consist primarily of whatever meat they can get their scaly hands on, and milk from the Tsuitl plant grown in small dessert canyons secluded caverns in the crags of Kandar. They also . They can eat just about anything raw, uncaring whether alive or dead.

The societal structure of the average Yeulvr Hive starts with the greatest (Often most intimidating) of the Yeulvr as Sandmane, (Sandmane being a title passed down from the leader historical victory in the war of Red Sand.) The Sand Mane leads the hive in battle, often being the first to taste blood in every fight. Sandmanes often do not live for very long after they take on the mantle of leadership.
Next in line, but rarely taking the position of Sandmane, are the hive shamans, in battle they call on the powers of magic to reign terror on their enemies. (When in battle, they are targeted often.)
The rest are nameless thousands and have too many roles to name.

When it comes to beliefs, there have been few races quite as reverent and well versed in their duties to serve their deity. Khorbas, Architect of Fire, giver of strength and keeper of immortality. Their deity takes the form of a Phoenix, an image found everywhere on the sands, their awe at the power of such a creature is speculated to be the cause for their taking it as their deity. For this reason the image of the Phoenix is found everywhere in Yeulvr society. The shamans of the Yeulvr practice many arts, but they are known greatly for their ability with fire related magics.

~War of Red Sand~
Half a millenium ago, in the war of Red Sand, (Known as the War of Ages by most humans.) the Yeulvr were in a position of certain doom. The ancient human empire of Szael was driving them to extinction. The Yeulvr fought, but with each man they cut down, three more would take his place. Losing battle after battle, the hordes of the Yeulvr race was routed by the cold, unrelenting strategies and magics of the Szael, herded like cattle back up north, mountain by mountain. All the way back to the mountain range of Togas Jan, to the smoking crags of what was then called Shar.
Moburoq Sandmane, their great chieftain, seeing the fear of his people, took up his great claw-hammer. Walking through the crags he was seen by his people. The only warrior willing to make a stand. Only one went with him. One walked along at his side. The shaman known as Cyr.
Seeing the endless ranks of the Szael, Moburoq and Cyr advanced, driven forward by the knowledge that they would die as true Yeulvr should, in battle against impossible odds.
It was this very moment that the ground began to shake. the earth rolling and quaking like the ocean waves. the earth then stood still, stopping as fast as it had started. For a brief moment, all was still, and the Szael hordes marched forward, seeking to end this war. They never lived to see another dawn. The earth began to fall from under them, Arkida swallowing them whole.
The Szael sought to flee this terrible force that wanted nothing more than to destroy them utterly. The world fell in on itself, killing every man they had.
A canyon had been created, a hundred miles long. A bright unwavering flame came soaring out of the seemingly bottomless abyss. A Phoenix that flew over the land and lit the sky with a terrible light. The scar in the desert was called the Eye of Khorbas. The mountain Cyr, and every chieftain from that day forward Sandmane.

Last of all, many might think all Yeulvr are only primitive, violent, and unintelligent. For most Yeulvr you could say this is true, but in one in every thousand or so Yeulvr, there is a spark of cunning unknown to the rest of the race. This rare cunning has, as likely as anything, kept the Yeulvr from being wiped off the face of the Arkida itself. The other Yeulvr, being so ignorant not by choice, have developed a hive mentality as well a lust for blood and a thirst for blood. This mentality allows for the cunning to lead the hive into battle. Like a wave crashing on the sands they advance at his call.

The waves are rising my friends, and the Yeulvr proceed as nameless thousands, the smell of blood driving them on, the sands are thirsty. And the sand will drink oceans of blood before this is over.
