Personality: Calm and in a discussion he is often a voice of reason. Though he may come off as a pacifist, as he usually does not like to use violence to solve problems, when it does come time to fight Dr Jackson is no pushover if provoked.

Alignment: Thoth

Location: Egypt

Abilities: Above average intelligence, linguist

Weapons: His intelligence, but if all else fails his fists or a gun (if trained properly, so far he only knows how to use a pistol)

Brief History: Born July 8th 1983 to Mel and Claire Jackson, Daniel found himself orphaned at the age of six after his parents disappeared on an archaeology trip to Egypt. Because nobody could locate his last remaining relative, Dr Nick Ballard (his grandfather, who was last seen heading for South America), Daniel was put up for adoption and eventually found himself placed in foster care.

Finding nothing but contempt and abuse from both his foster parents and siblings, Daniel first rebelled and took to fighting. When that failed, he buried himself in his schoolwork, finding that he had an ear for linguists and a mind for history. Graduating from high school at the age of fifteen, he went immediately on to college and by the age of twenty he had a PHD in Archaeology.

As he began to follow in his parent’s footsteps, and put the troubles of his past behind him, he eventually stumbled onto something interesting. Following up on it, he discovered that at one point the deities of ancient Egypt might have actually existed. But when he tried to prove it, he quickly became ostracised from the scientific community and, before he began travelling, his own mentor, Dr David Gradner, attempted to steer him away from the path he was determined to go down, but gave up when it became clear Daniel would not be deterred.

Now, Dr Daniel Jackson finds himself in Egypt, living off money he inherited and his dwindling grants, searching one library after another, hoping for some shred of proof that will back up his theories. As he continues his search, he also keeps his eyes and ears open for any hint as to what happened to Mel and Claire Jackson.
