Aleria's love for music mostly lay in appreciation, though they had a fine amount of technical knowledge at their disposal as well. Just...no practise for it, really. Their voice ranged from alto to tenor, fitting with the fact that their gender did as well. Aleria could read music fine, and had the technical proficiency for piano (but lacked the practise, admittedly.)
However, they had not yet encountered the music room. But, as Aleria traversed the halls of Amityville Academy, their heeled boots clicking along the tiles, they heard melodious notes emanating from a room down the hall.
Creeping closer, the demon peered through the door, curious. Purple fanned out behind them as their cloak fell, and opaque black eyes spotted someone playing a wind instrument.
"That," they said with a curious tilt of the head. "Is quite beautiful."

He had gotten a new set of sheet music, or at least somewhat new considering they were from his father and could have been from years ago sitting in his shelf somewhere. Joachim had taken them to one of the empty music rooms at the school. There was far too many mice who seemed to be sticking their little noses into every little nook and cranny in his room begging for some sort of cookie or crumbs. In the school room however there were fewer mice scuttle around as he started to play.
It wasn’t a very hard piece, a few places his eyes would read faster this his fingers could move trying to follow the series of eighth notes that at times almost appeared to blur together. He would stop and move his fingers slowly following the music until he got the fingering right.
After a couple of more stops for practice Joachim finally got the piece to a point that he could play it fluently. That was until Merel started to squeak tugging on his hair.
“Oh… thank you…. I didn’t see you there sorry,” Joachim replied to the figure that stood in the doorway. He stood up and gave the student a short bow, “I appreciate your kind words.”

Aleria smiled, lopsided, smoothing out the fabric of their skirts. Black eyes flitted across the room, lingering momentarily on the rodent perched atop the stranger's head.
"No need to thank me for remarking upon the truth," the demon replied, bowing elegantly in return. "Music is an interest of mine, a hobby as well, though I lack true talent."
They stepped inside, smiling still. "Might I ask the composer?"
