Appearance:Jedrek is of average height, and solid lean muscle from actively doing hard manly work all day long. He keeps his dark brown hair cut short and out of the way, and has dark brown eyes. His skin is a dark tanned color from working out in the sun for most of his life, and his clothing is usually fairly simple, but well cared for. A few minor scars are scattered about his body from various mishaps and accidents.
His face doesn't have the ladies swooning, but he wasn't really beaten with an ugly stick either.
Personality: + Hard Working
He is a very hard worker, and as dedicated as one could be to his fellows and the Weyr. More than once he has worked himself to exhaustion in order to complete a task on time, and he is assertive enough to make sure others are working just as hard as he is.
+Protective
He is fiercely protective of those close to him, and also of those he feels need his help. He would lay down his life to protect his friends and kin without a second thought.
There is a good amount of chivalry involved with his protective nature as well, and he will instantly jump to the defense of any woman or child he feels is being threatened or mistreated, or anyone he feels can't stand up for themselves really.
- Fearful of change
The predictability of farm life provided a sort of security blanket for Jed. He could wake up and know exactly what was expected of him that day, and reasonably know the gist of what was going to happen.
Since arriving at the Weyr, much of that secure feeling has been torn away, and he usually feels like he's trapped in a never ending wave of chaos, and half thinks all the weyrfolk are crazy.

He is a perfectly friendly and sociable person with his fellow males, but women...They have to be handled gently you know. No harsh language, or hard labor for them. They simply couldn't handle it. And any woman who tries to do such things is admirable for attempting to help in such hard times, but they are obviously confused as to what their purpose is, and should be gently reminded that hard work in the fields and mines is a mans job, and they should really go back to minding the children, or other such tasks.
Jedrek understands that his views often make the women around him frustrated, or even angry with him. That's okay. Sometimes it might seem that a woman's job is inferior to mens' work, but he will confidently and politely explain to them that although it might not be as dangerous or exciting, it is JUST as important to communities and Pern as a whole.
History:Jedrek's history is pretty simple and straightforward. He was fostered into the farmercraft, and raised in the fields, tending to the crops and the herdbeasts as he was needed. From a very young age he learned an intense work ethic, even people that dislike him cannot deny that he is a determined and very hard worker.
He was fostered into a very large family- six brothers and two sisters. Both of his sisters are younger, and he developed his protective nature from being one of the younger boys, and feeling the need to make sure they stayed safe.
He came to the Weyr on a Search dragon, after a fair amount of encouragement and assurance from his family.
