Akichi is a very well respected and well known demon of the underworld. He lived a life that any demon could have ever dreamed of,all of those who dwelled in hell adored him, and he was wealthy beyond belief. However, Akichi wasn't satisfied with his extravagant high ranked life. He soon ran away and headed towards earth, dragging a couple servants, to hopefully find some sort of enjoyment and pleasure. The demons were devastated, but Aki wasn't. In fact he was just as bored as ever, until something arrived at the foot of his door. On the cold snow lay a basket with a human baby happily smiling at him with gleaming bright eyes. Akichi thought about it, and at first dreaded at the thought of having a child constantly bugging him, but he had come to the conclusion of keeping it. No one really understood why he made such a decision, but the deal was done. Of course she was home schooled so nothing terrible would ever happen to her, and some questioned if that was a good idea. She was basically secluded from any humans and all she lived with were demons. Years have past and since then he had watched her grow....and once 17 years have past, Akichi experiences something no demon could possibly feel....can you guess?

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― A bright Summer's day. The perfect time to go enjoy a nice suntan, go swimming and grab a smoothie before the cold embrace of dusk's appearance.
However, she would have to do that herself and by herself only. Knowing that her part-time captor and part-time demon living in the human world wasn't a fan of sun nor daylight, Elsie assumed she would go off by herself again, but in secret of course. This man/demon would never let her out of his mansion-esque house, no...not one time was she allowed out for a nice walk to the town, or to the market or even to the street way lining itself up towards other places that she never knew existed. That Summer's suntan or that ceremonial smoothie would never come to Elsie's grasp no matter how hard she tried. It was as if seclusion was the only way of living for her.
She didn't mind...of course, but it bothered her. 'No, don't go there- H-Hey, what're you doing going near the street curb!? N-no! You're going to catch a cold and then some pervert ***** will come and rape you while you're sneezing!' It all sounded so trivial, so fake and unrealistic but it was the way of life. It was the way of Akichi, the oldest demon she'd ever witnessed. Well, of course it wasn't like she saw other demons prowling around other than the maids attending the mansion and the butlers etc.
But Akichi was a different sort, he was secluded as the place he lived in. He was never one to mince words, play along or even enjoy a nice afternoon on a bench next to her. Seventeen years have passed and it always was the same thing, never anything changing. She hoped he had feelings, as he seldom showed, but she hoped that deep down inside that cold demon's heart lay a new sort of feeling, one of compassion and forgiveness and love, perhaps. It was a 'foolish' idea as Akichi would often say, but sometimes foolishness it what brings some people together.
But he and she were not cut from the same cloth. He was over 200 years old, and she only 17. One was a demon and the other was a human. Maybe one day she'll find some sort of outlet, something to write or shout all her feelings at. One day something exciting could happen. Yeah, exciting!
Elsie nodded and began her tour around the courtyard she'd known and mapped out as a child, all the same bends, bruises and secret pathways she'd mended together while playing hide and seek. It was a nice life, but a sad one. Everyone trying to cheer her up when she was solemn, all hugs coming from nowhere and none coming from Akichi.
It was a nice life, no doubt.

The day was bright and beautiful. The sky showed no sign of any clouds and the sun peaked through the closed window shades in his bedroom. A knock on the door was heard and Akichi groaned at the noise. "Master, I'm sorry to trouble you but it's close to evening." His trusted Butler Ivan had announced as he opened Akichi's bedroom door just a crack. "Why do you insist on bothering me at this time....you out of everyone in this house hold should know that I'm not very fond of these kinds of days..." He grumbled as he pulled the covers over his head. "I'm must protest, it's not fair to madam Elsie that she is up and you are always in bed." Ivan said sternly. Akichi gave into his demands and pushed the blanket off him.
Sighing heavily, Akichi got dressed and walked down stairs to find himelf on the coach and resting once more. The maids had greeted him as he approached and he just nodded keeping silent. He thought about today, and it felt strange, he couldn't put his finger on it, but it was as if something bad was going to happen. He tried too shake it off. "Ivan....do you no where Elsie ran off too? That child might get herself stuck in another shrub..." He said as he shielded his eyes from the sun. Ivan looked at Akichi in an awkward way since it hasn't been years since Elsie has played or ran around in the courtyard. "seventeen years and you still expect her to act that childish..I'm disappointed sir. ." "Seventeen years? huh...has she really been growing that fast.." Akichi of course knew it, one day she would be a baby at his door step, and the next, she wouldn't want to stay in the mansion forever. Ivan stared at him with much concern. "Would you like me to fetch her?" He asked, Akichi only replied with "Do as you wish." And that was it. Once Ivan had left to go search for Elsie, Akichi took a fresh picked flower from the vase next to him and picked it up.. He sighed as he watched it wilt in his hands, "She's like a flower.....if I were to touch her.....she would fade.." He said as he placed the dead plant on the table.

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― Just as she predicted, the beautiful afternoon was gorgeous. A luminous shade of bright yellows, oranges and opalescent pinks shone through the windows of the mansion.
She was glad she was outside, enjoying whatever speck of freedom she had, enjoying the rays going through her soft pale skin and the sheer thought that today she had nothing to do, nothing to chore around for and just enjoy herself.
Sitting on a bench adorned with flower-like ornaments and wooden planks for seating, she found herself sitting not on the wooden part but rather on the backrest, her legs crossed over one another on the wood. Sighing rather dreamily she couldn't imagine a better life. Flowers, plants, shrubs and all things alike were so beautiful, so replaceable, so impermanent. They would die soon, wilting away the life from their small petals, giving whatever strength they had to remain upright and beautiful while its features slowly rotted away. Like her. Soon, if only a few years from now- she would be an adult. A free-forming courageous and ambitious young'un wanting to take on the world by force. To change it, shape and mold it to her own liking and make a life for herself. Such thoughts never entered into her head though, as Elsie found herself thinking more about mysteries and the mysterious. Like Akichi, she valued personal space and some time alone- but she was vulnerable. She had no one to talk to, no one to confess her feelings to, heck, she never even had a high school crush before! It was her Junior year, if she remembered correctly. But being Home schooled often had many drawbacks.
The maids were her friends and the butlers her counselors, and Akichi...well, he was just Akichi. Nothing more than a man who owned the place, but to be honest she often felt something for the man/demon. It could be pity, remorse, a nurturing trait that she never had, or even with wonder. This man who could care less about her; often did. While his phrases may be short, clean-cut and brutally blunt, she respected him. He was a man of class, a man of elegance and reverence, but one who didn't care about such fickle things like love, lust or social status.
That's why she loved him, he was so...strong-willed. It sometimes sickened her but it was who he was, and who he was often made Elsie cry, angry, desperate and more often than once, depressed.
But who cared, today was Summer! A beautiful Summer's evening at that! She let out a deep exhale followed by a deep inhale, thanking whoever it was that created such beautiful trees and such beautiful beaches that she could watch from her perch.
Breaking herself from the thoughts of freedom, Ivan had come to her. He bore a sort of embarrassed yet sincere smile. "Ivan!" She called out in glee as she rose from her seat and hugged the man. He gushed but quickly tried to put an end to the hug. Elsie nodded in sad understanding but put on an optimistic grin. "It's a beautiful evening, isn't it, Ivan?" "Yes, of course- we demons often can't get acquainted with the sun, so I'm glad it's getting to darken. Ah- Master Akichi wanted to know your whereabouts, so I hope I am not troubling you." Elsie looked to Ivan with kind eyes, "oh- of course. Well, I'll be here until sundown, so until then I'd like some peaceful privacy." Ivan nodded affirmatively and began to skitter away before Elsie called out, "Ivan!" Ivan stopped and turned with question. "Could you get me a coat? Oh, and if you can- please bring Akichi with you! I'd like him to watch the sun set with me!" Ivan again nodded with a smile and left.
"Akichi, why can't you enjoy the same things as me?" Elsie muttered out loud as she watch the pale sky of blues, pinks, oranges and purples taking over the beautiful sun, a hapless half-circle slowly going into hiding behind the trees afar.

As Akichi lay quietly and restless on the couch, Ivan had soon reappeared to fetch his master. "Master, the sun is setting and it would be a great time for you to spend some quality time with Elsie.." he began. Akichi just opened one eye and stared right at him as if he was joking. "Until the sun completely sets, then I'll be fine going outside..." He said in reply to Ivan's suggestion. Ivan pouted at his response and knew very well how to pursuade him. "I understand that us demons are not fond of the sunlight, however I don't recall any time that you have spent with miss Elsie.." Ivan continued his rant on fatherly care and spending time which seemed to really tick off Akichi. Akichi finally got up and walked past Ivan with a most annoyed expression. "I'm going..now shut up Ivan.." He said as he grabbed his coat and walked toward the direction where the courtyard was. He spotted Elsie who was standing all by herself and staring off into the distance. He couldn't help but lightly smile at how big she's grown. He walked up beside her and placed his hand a top her head. "Why must you grow when I'm not looking.." He said with one of his emotionless tones and sighed as he stared off into the distance as well.

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― A broken silence. Elsie, somewhat surprised with the palm on the top of her blonde covered head smiled. "I didn't think you would come, Akichi" she spoke as she turned and gave a child-like bob of her head as her face blushed, taking the hand off her head and holding it firmly in her own at her side.
Listening to Akichi's comment about her she felt a sort of unexplained disappointment, "I've been growing so fast because you're not watching me as often as everyone else does...You're busy all the time, what with your sleeping and walks around the castle and unexplained absences, of course you don't watch me grow, you never did."
It was a harsh statement, but a true one. She was glad he came, but the feelings she felt before were washing over her in memory. It was no matter, but in all the books she had read about teenage romance, never once was the counterpart so agonizingly rude and careless. Even though in this situation, with one being 200 years old, you could still count it as the same.
"Thank you for at least coming to watch the sunset with me Akichi..." Elsie spoke quietly, nuzzling in the shoulder of his coat.

He felt her warm hand lift his off her head and he just stood there in silence. Her statement was indeed harsh and it gave him this cold dark feeling inside of him. Of course he was already cold and dark, but never once did he get this sickish feeling when her words reached him. Could it be guilt? This was the first time he had ever heard her say something like this and it hurt him deeply. What she said was true and yes, the truth does hurt. "It's getting chilly....that Ivan really needs to remember these things..." He took off his coat and covered Elsie as best as he could. He let the silence ring out and took a quick glance at her while breaking the silence. "You cannot expect me to act like a human..when in fact i'm not, i'm a demon.." He said with a sort of calmness in his voice. He did say that exact phrase when she was young, over a little quarrel between them.
At the same time he felt strange when Elsie was so close to him, he never really experienced that from her. It made him feel worse about himself. She's a rose and i'm a demon...is what he thought as they stood there in that dim lit court yard.

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― The warmth that unleashed over Elsie's thin and young body was a sign that even a demon could have some feeling. She looked towards him when he spoke, causing a sort of hapless face from Elsie, "I know, I know..." she began to say, then drifted off intentionally.
At least she was warm. It always surprised her that even demons could contain warmth in their bodies when all they have felt inside themselves was cold, hard nonchalance. She remembered when Akichi said that last phrase, the one he sort of lingered on. A small fight between the two over a few years time happened, one that caused much heartbreak and shock from the staff. Surely she was young, stupid and ignorant, but it still made her extremely passionate that her opinions were not followed on.
The issue was about a film, a very moving and intense film, and like every other girl her age, she cried. Akichi was seated next to her watching rather loosely and at the end of the film rose and spoke just one word to aggravate Elsie to actually start a heated argument, the word was 'stupid'. Elsie rose in a fit of anger and tears, mixing to make one very red face gleaming with beads down her cheek. "You said WHAT?" Elsie shouted with fists clenched. Akichi backed his statement up with more crude words, eventually ending in with Akichi leaving and Elsie on the floor with no words to say.
It was a tough time and Elsie still didn't forgive Akichi. But here they both were and he spoke the same exact phrase as he did many years ago, yet Elsie did not feel spite. "I know...I know..." she whispered quietly.

The sun had finally set, and all Akichi did was break from Elsie's hold and turned to make his leave. "I'm sorry." It was almost like a whisper as he said those two words. He narrowed his eyes down at her as if to take just one more glance, and as he did so, he went wide eyed. It was strange....was he looking at the same girl that used to run around laughing and smiling and began bugging him. Did someone steal his innocent Elsie and replaced her with a mature grown women.? Have I really been that far from her?
He ran his fingers through his hair as he tried to shake off the strange feeling and thoughts. "We should head inside..you might catch a cold dressed like that." He said as he shoved his hands in his pockets.

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― Releasing herself from the moment, Elsie felt the cold air hit her face and exposed legs hard. By instinct she began to shiver and that's when Akichi said, 'we should head inside'.
Nodding, she began following after the man, turning around once to glance at the night sky, filled with stars that shone brightly like candles hanging in space. Whoever thought of the idea must be proud of themselves.
"Hey Akichi..." Elsie finally stated as they entered the mansion, "I'm sorry for what I said earlier...I don't really mean it, it's just that...I know you're busy and all- I just sorta flipped out and over thought... I hope you can forgive me." With a smile she slowly took the coat off of her shoulders and handed it to Akichi, then fiercely turning away and briskly walking to her room.
That was strange. The emotions between him and her were mixed, she just didn't know why.

As she handed him back his coat he was choked. He wanted to say something, he didn't want her to walk away, but no words came out, and he stood there holding his coat that was still warm from when she wore it."Tch....why does she..-" he stop mid sentenced and stormed off toward his bedroom like a child..
Why? why was it so awkward, and why was she so quiet? If she was trying to make him feel guilty, then it was working. He gripped his jacket then tossed it to the side in anger. The maids had seen his action and decided that their master and perhaps Elsie needed some space. In which he did.
The stars gleamed in the night sky and there was no sound except for the chiming crickets. A man cloaked in black snuck around Akichi's mansion with a menacing grin upon his face.He looked up to see a window lit up and a female figure inside. "That must be her." He said as he blended in with the shadows and climbed the stoned structure. Elsie's window had unlatched and, a strong gust of wind entered followed by a shadow that made it's way in the corner of the room. "Human child? No I see a young women.....oh I've forgotten that you humans age faster, and dissipate quicker." He scoffed as he stared at Elsie and laughed.

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― Elsie went to her bedroom in an embarrassed huff, why was Akichi so hard to confide to? It was like talking to a wall, a wall of anger and misdirected words with horrible meanings.
But then and there came a gust of wind that made Elsie suddenly so self-conscious if someone were to see her, especially on the second floor with a short skirt. Despite that the mansion was dozens of kilometers away from ANY building, she still had a haunting feeling a Peeping Tom would take a picture and send it all over the Internet.
Alas it was not a Peeping Tom, but a strange man who insulted her on the get-go. "E-Excuse me, sir!? That's extremely RUDE!" She pulled a throw pillow off from her bed and chucked it at the man in anger. "Get out. Get out NOW" she screamed as she threw multiple pillows at the man dressed in black. "AKICHI! AKICHI-I-I-I-I" she yelled again, louder than an blood curdling howl from a dying wolf.

Dark figure revealed to be a man with long dark hair and a muscular physique. "Your making quite a racket..." He said as he was catching the pillows she was throwing at him "Now now, we wouldn't want dear old Akichi to come up here, it would get very messy in here." He said with a dark chuckle. He pointed his finger toward the door as a thick miasma surrounded it. "I'm taking you with me little girl, we're going straight to hell." He said as he slowly walked closer to Elsie.
Her screams came through and all the servants began to panic. They could sense who it was and they ran about like an untamed herd of cattle. Akichi however did not hear of her scream, he was trapped in his own thoughts and it was powerful enough for him to be lost in his own world, and that's when Ivan came to speak of the horrific news. The screams and the running soon got his attention and Akichi looked around with confusion and concern."What is this? Whats going on?" He said aloud. "Master Akichi! it's him! He came, and miss Elsie-" Ivan panicked Akicki pushed him out of the way as soon as he spoke of Elsie. If Elsie was involved in any mischief, he would be there. And if Elsie was in harms way, well it is his job to go and protect her with his life. He already had a list of places the girl could have gone, but right after their little parting, it was obvious she was in her room. Thinking back he had a terrible pain in his chest...it was more of a feeling then an internal issue.
Once he arrived at Elsie's bedroom door, he was stopped by the thick miasma. Without hesitation, he began kicking the door down although the miasma could inflict much pain. He didn't mind the miasma at all, all he wanted to do is check if Elsie was alright. He continuosly kicked it until the spell had dispersed. "I see we have an unwanted guest...." Akichi began once the door was down and the people behind it were revealed.

β―β― β’ οΌ₯πππΎπ β’ β’ β―β― The pointing of the man's finger towards her made her shudder in fear. She didn't want to go to Hell, nor did she ever want to go with this man! The eyepatch was disconcerting enough let along the cloak and necklace on his person with his piercing yellow eyes of hate.
When she thought she would go into kung-fu Elsie mode when Akichi burst through the door in his usual somewhat miffed yet nonchalant attitude.
She made a dash for the door and stood behind Akichi, praying that he would shun away this strange and evil being.
But she wouldn't stay alongside Akichi, as the maids were ushering her out and asking if anything had happened. She shook her head but they still took caution and pulled her to a guest room where she could be safe if the man continued his search if Akichi could not defeat him.
