Sunday Jan. 6th @ 1PM MST

A small group of pronghorn familiars loved nothing more than racing each other day in and day out. One day they wanted to see if anyone else was as fast as they were. Amused by how slow the other creatures were they decided to see if it was possible to even train others to go as fast as a pronghorn. They made the choice to hold races to try and make soquili, the best candidates for training, run almost as fast as they could. If nothing else, the futile struggle of the horses would at least earn them a laugh.

.:Rules:.

For all races:

1. This is first come, first serve. I will only accept the first 16 that apply correctly. (You do not need a soquili to play.)

2. Only 16 participants will be signed up per game. You may either sign up for yourself or as a proxy but you may not do both.

3. Only 1 entry per person. No mules. If a mule is discovered you will be banned from the games.

4. You MUST post the proper form with the correct information or else you will be skipped over.

5. There will be 5 minutes between my roll and the end of the round. If you do not post within the time limit you will be disqualified.

6. If you make a mistake in rolling (too many dice, wrong kind of dice, no dice, rolling before my post, etc.) you will be disqualified.

7. In the event of a tie (exact numbers rolled, or they are both dead even on who is closest) a tie-breaker will be had. The tie-breaker will include no bonuses and each owner will simply roll a d10. The larger number wins.

8. Winners will be announced at the end of the round. I will show my math in the results.

9. Please don’t chat in the thread. If you want to RP your soquili running the race feel free to when it’s your turn. Too much chatter makes it harder to find posts.

10. This is possibly the most important rule; do not whine if you lose. We’ve all been there and it sucks. Please, let’s all be adults here.

11. The winner of the race will receive 1 randomly colored pronghorn familiar! Unfortunately there are no other prizes to be given out here. I just want everyone to understand that going into this.

12. The look of the prizes will only be revealed at the end. If you don’t want a mystery prize then don’t play.

13. If an event arises that is not covered in the rules and I have to make a decision do not complain about whatever decision I make. Odds are any situation like this will lead to someone being unhappy and I am well aware of that. I will be as fair as humanly possible and whining over it doesn’t help anyone.

14. You MAY give your prize to someone else if you do not like it but it will count as both of your familiar freebies.

15. You MAY NOT pass on getting the freebie. If you win, it counts as yours whether you want it or not. You were warned that there is no choice in appearance.

16. If more rules are needed more rules will be added.

.:How to Play:.

1. 16 soquili will sign up all from different owners. They will be entered using this form:

[b]Your Name:[/b]
[b]Your Soquili's Name:[/b] (If you don’t have a soquili, say “Newbie.”)

2. They will be paired off into tournament style brackets. (I will post this list so you know who you’re up against.)

3. I (Nisshou H/Soquili-stats) will roll a single 100-sided-die.
Racers A and B will then each roll a single 100-sided-die.
(I will say which racers are going when I roll.)
Whichever soquili is closest to my roll is the winner.

4. The winner(s) from the round will move on to the next round.

5. Round 2: Repeat steps 3 & 4

6. Semi-finals: Repeat steps 3 & 4

7. Finals: Repeat step 3. Whoever wins this is the champion.

8. Awards will be giving out. Meaning, “I’ll show the winner his or her pronghorn prize.”

Race 1: C versus D

Nisshou Rolls 67! C and D now have approximately five minutes to post.

C rolls 2.
D rolls 80.

Nisshou will post her math and announce the winners!
C is 2: 67 - 2 = 65
D is 80: 80 - 67 = 13

D is the winner of the first round!

Q: Do we wait for the go =3?
A: Yes, I'll say when to go, including for sign-ups.

Q: If you win does the Pronghorn have to go with the Soquili you used?
A: No! The soquili names are just so I can make silly commentary and keep track of who is racing more easily.
