Bio:Era's family was hunted. So she did the most forbidden thing she could have possibly done. That was pick up Lyall a cursed sword that they watched over, and it has a spirit in it. Usually whoever picked it up would turn evil. But Era didn't so she kept the sword. Even though she was now an orphan since the hunters killed her family.
One of the elders of the village took her in,seeing as she was able to have the cursed sword with no problem. They watched as she slowly began to close off from every one. She had abused herself when she was alone thinking she was the cause for her family's death. When the elder had actually planned it. Once she figured it out she left and came to the academy.
