Monsters and Hunting

The world of Sword Art Online is filled with monsters, which replace the roles of animals in the real world. Monsters genuinely are the source of all income and livelihood in Aincrad. When they are defeated, they are able to drop their loot. Monsters such as [Frenzy Boars] and fish-type monsters can be a source of meat, while plant-type monsters can be a source of seasonings, flavorings and crops for food. Rare monsters can drop valuable pieces of equipment and rare items. But generally, Col, the known currency, is frequently given to any player who defeats any kind of monster. Although, the amount of Col given varies per monster.

The amount of Col dropped by a monster varies per floor groups. We have grouped the floors as it is seen in the guild's Main Forum [H O M E]. The respective Col amounts dropped by monsters are shown in the list below. It should be noted that this is not applicable to Boss monsters.

[RP Forum] Floors [ 01 - 10 ] | 10 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 11 - 20 ] | 50 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 21 - 30 ] | 50 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 31 - 40 ] | 100 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 41 - 50 ] | 100 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 51 - 60 ] | 500 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 61 - 70 ] | 500 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 71 - 80 ] | 1000 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 81 - 90 ] | 1000 Col per monster defeated.
[RP Forum] Floors [ 91 - 100 ] | 5000 Col per monster defeated.

Notes:
In the guild's system, so far, hunting can only give you additional Word Count and Col. Remember, Col can also be gained by exchanging a portion of your Word Count (Half of that amount of words will give you the amount of Col you can receive).

Only monsters RP-ed by the Crew and Moderators can get you the specialized loot that you need for accomplishing certain quests and crafting your own customized weapons and armors.

This is not applicable to Boss monsters, as Boss monsters will always be RP-ed by a crew member.

We are advising everyone to keep track of the number of monsters that your RPC has killed before every update.

This system is still subject to change.

Monster List

Notes: Monsters will be listed by Floor level in the [ Public Master Bestiary ] for Players to utilize.

Legend:

        [Passive]
Monsters which do not attack players on sight. These are monsters which you can freely control. The Crew members have no control over these monsters. You can only fight at most two(2) of them per post.

        [Aggressive]
Monsters which attack players on sight. You can roleplay as these monsters and fight them as you wish; or they can be controlled by a Moderator or Crew at any given time in any given field. You can fight as much as three(3) aggressive monsters per post.

        [Mobbing]
Monsters which attack players in great numbers. You have no choice but to fight four(4) of them per post.

        [Fishing]
Monsters which can only be found and encountered by fishing. The higher your Fishing Skill is, the higher the chance that you will get a good, higher level monster.

        [Flying]
Monsters that are capable of flight. It takes a decent level of skill to fight these kinds of monsters simply because they can fly and regular players cannot. They are greatly weakened if their wings are clipped off.

        [Rare]
Monsters which can only be found in certain maps and at certain times. These are monsters that usually drop valuable loot that are needed to accomplish certain quests, and are required to construct certain weapons and armors. They require special conditions to be encountered on the field:
              • (1) Ten (10) individual posts of venturing into a field or dungeon from your RPC alone, inclusive of posts encountering and fighting other monsters and etc. Once the specified number of posts have been made, the rare monster will automatically spawn on the following post.
              • (2) They only spawn twice a day for anyone, or for any party. This means that each person, or each established party, can only get to encounter two rare monsters a day, whether it is in the same map thread or a different one. There is an exception on special cases that involve Moderator or Crew intervention.
              • (3) Rare monsters only appear one at a time, that is, without Moderator or Crew intervention.
              • (4) Sudden Moderator or Crew intervention, or simply, if a Crew decides to roleplay as that monster for you. In which case, two rare monsters can appear at once, and players may encounter it for the third time or more in one day.

        [Super Rare]
Monsters which exist in mystery in the world of Sword Art Online. They are one of a kind and are difficult to kill. They usually come out during special events. They are only encountered if Moderators or Crew members roleplay them for you.

        [Quest]
Monsters which are only spawned when a Player is currently active in the proper Quest.
