It had started out as a normal enough day, at least by Anming's standards. Anming had met up with Gwendolyn again, and caught up on current events, among other things. It had been nice to see an old friend again, and Anming was relieved to know that Gwen had lliked the cookies she had made to bring as a gift; she had been surprised to learn that Gwen could draw, as well. As Anming promised to keep in touch with Gwen more often, and as the girls talked about what had been going on in their lives recently, she felt happy to have a friend that she could do things for... and, well, a friend in general, but that was kind of her own insecurities getting in the way of that. Currently, the two of them were headed towards Anming's home, Gwendolyn having offered to walk the smaller girl home. Anming had accepted, happy to have someone to talk to along the way, and thus the two went, with Anming showing the way. In the back of her mind, she had a nagging feeling about something potentially going wrong, but she dismissed it; even if she didn't really patrol much, it was probably just one of those things about being a senshi, always on the lookout for danger. "So, um..." Anming began, as she walked alongside her friend, "I guess you have a lot of interesting things you want to tell me about?" If she was interpreting that correctly, anyway.

"Lots of things!" Gwendolyn Caspian admitted, as she walked side by side with Anming and looking to be enjoying the trek to someplace new. Gwen always enjoyed trying new things and going to places she's never been before, even if it was simply someone else's house. It made life all the more interesting! She didn't have that many friends outside of her Senshi life, so the few that she did have, even ones that she didn't see often, she held pretty damn close. Which was why she was trying to keep her senses on alert, or at least the regular ones she had as a normal civilian. She looked cheerful and kept her gaze about, as though to be soaking in the scenery and remembering key landmarks so that she could find her way home again, but she was really just keeping her eyes open for any youma that might have been trying to give them the jump. She wasn't sure how she'd hide Anming long enough to transform, but she was willing to humor the thought. 'Oh, I don't know if I want to transform in a dumpster again... that made my fuku stink for a week!'She looked down at Anming, trying not to let her see how observant and possibly borderline paranoid she was. After so many patrols and time spent as a Senshi, it was just simply a strange occurrence to be on this side of town and NOT be powered up. "But... a lot of those things are a little weird, and honestly, I... don't know if you're ready to hear any of it just yet. Weird things happen in this city..." Then again, Anming -was- there when that flame-spitting youma attacked her and Arian... perhaps there'd be no problem in confessing her secret to Anming after all? "Like that monster attack when we first met..." Yes, best to venture down that path cautiously, just in case she needed to pull out. After all, some people thought the White Moon Senshi to be terrorist... what if Anming was one of them? Merurulince Nope, looks pretty good to me!

"Oh, I remember that," Anming remarked, nodding; she frowned, remembering that encounter. "That was the first time I had seen a yo- that was the first time I had seen one of those monsters, though I've heard about the, um... 'terrorist' attacks that go on in the city." The 'terrorist' aspect wasn't something she necessarily agreed upon; maybe it was because she was still inexperienced, but Anming felt senshi did their best to protect the city. It wasn't particularly something she could do anything about, though, and thus she kept her mouth shut. For the most part. "Have you... erm, have you. encountered more of those?" she asked, trying to chose her words carefully; just what was Gwen getting into? "The monsters, I mean. Though I don't really think those girls are terrorists, either."

The fact that Anming had said something but immediately took it back to say something else was enough to catch Gwen's interest, but she didn't bring it up. Not yet. So what if Anming was going to say 'youma'... she could have easily have heard the word via word of mouth from someone else. That didn't necessarily mean she was part of this whole war, right? Gwen kept to that story- someone was kind and soft as Anming couldn't have been involved in this, though she was hoping to keep her out of it as long as possible. When Anming threw the question at her, she didn't bother trying to lie. "Oh, several, really. More so than I'm willing to admit to anyone." The fact that Anming said she didn't agree with the Senshi being called terrorist was a relief, and perhaps, it would have made her confession all the easier to approach. The last thing she would have wanted, besides dragging her friend into the war, was her friend immediately rejecting her should she reveal her true identity to her. Yes, that would have hurt Gwen's feelings more... but hopefully, it would not come to pass. "However, I've managed to outwit them, or outrun them, even throw a few punches here and there. But yeah, about those 'terrorist'... I think they're heroes. After all, two of them saved my butt once! For them to go out of their way to rescue someone as annoying as me, they can't be bad guys, right?" Merurulince When do we want to have Bazzite enter?

"Of course!" Anming agreed, nodding, "I think they're heroes as well- they're just... trying to do what they can to protect the peace. And everyone else." But sometimes that was hard, and sometimes you didn't quite know what you were doing, and well... as Minkowski, she still had a lot to learn. Speaking of which- "Ah, um... Gwendolyn, you can keep a secret, can't you...?" ChibiGingi that's up to Lu! c: anytime after they henshin up is cool with me.

"I like to think of them as police officers, with magical powers," Gwen said, her stance bias, of course, but it could easily be construed as someone being naive and seeing the world through rose tinted glasses. Something that Gwen hardly did nowadays, as she felt she had seen the true face of her enemies, but she tried to play up the role of innocent in front of Anming. "You know, doing their job even if it kind of angers some people, mostly people who break the law or seek harm to others and don't want anyone getting in the way of it." When Anming asked her if she could keep a secret, Gwen did her absolutely best to try not appear as surprised as she felt, and immediately, her curiosity began to pick back up. Anming? What kind of secret would Anming have for her to keep? Did it matter? Her answer would have been the same, regardless of what the secret was, and Gwen gave a confident nod. "Sure I can! I haven't told my sister that I'm seeing someone, as well as keeping a few secrets of my own, so your secret is safe with me!" She meant every word, though she tried not to jump to any conclusions in her head. What could Anming possibly be about to tell her? She wanted to drop her defenses and just allow herself to be surprised, but she couldn't stop her overactive imagination. Though her mind raced with possibilities, she was quiet, waiting for Anming to continue speaking, trying to be as polite as possible despite how hard it was for her to hold her tongue.

Suddenly, Anming hesitated. While they agreed on the same thing- that the senshi weren't terrorists- she worried if telling Gwen the truth was a safe thing to do. This wasn't something she could tell her own family, after all, and to tell her best friend was on an entirely different level. There was still time; she could still lie, make up a story about how she had met a senshi before, but it would't be right, and Anming wasn't raised to lie like that. "Do you remember the two senshi that saved you, that day we met?" Anming began, gathering up all the confidence she could for what she was about to tell Gwen, "One of them- Sailor Minkowski- she was, well..." She paused, taking out her henshi pen. "That was me." And with that, she called out those familiar words- Minkowski Power, Make Up!, and transformed into a familiar face. "I'm sorry," Minkowski said, frowning, "I wish I could have said something back then, so you didn't have to worry."

Of all the secrets that one could keep from someone, this one trumped them all without even much trying. Sure, there were a few of them that were pretty high up there: being pregnant, being a long lost sister, being a member of a super secret spy organization or even perhaps the admittance of a possible crush, either to herself or someone else. Yes, those might have been pretty surprising to hear, but this one left Gwen speechless, and that was a miracle for those that knew Gwen well. She stared at Sailor Minkowski, the same Senshi that had helped save her life along with Athene, way back in the day, before she herself was a Senshi. Suddenly, it had all made sense. Why Minkowski had arrived so quickly after she tried to lure the youma away from them (a foolish move but one she didn't regret, even if it made her look reckless). Yes, this definitely left Gwen speechless, and to say that she was having a bit of hero worship going on in her head was an understatement. Her grin was ear to ear and her eyes lit up something fierce, like a young girl meeting her idol face to face, but there was another reason for her joy, one that she was about to reveal to Minkowski! "That's... that's so awesome! You saved my life once... well, duh, of course you know that, you were there, obviously! I didn't suspect a thing, either! But it all makes sense... gosh, I'm rambling, aren't I?" Gwen wished she could have come up with the words right now, but her revelation left her scatterbrained, even as she grabbed for her own henshin pen. "Don't even worry about apologizing, because I totally know that feeling... and go figure, we have something in common, besides being short and adorable, anyway." Without thinking, she revealed her own pen, giving it a twirl and announcing her own transformation phrase, "Tsui Star Power, Make Up!" Where Gwendolyn Caspian once stood was Super Sailor Tsui, proud Senshi of Tigers and indebted to the Senshi of Butterflies. Though her attire had changed, her smile and enthusiastic demeanor had not, and Tsui held out her hand to formally introduce her true self to Minkowski. "Super Sailor Tsui, Senshi of Tigers and general buttkicker of the bad guys. It's a pleasure to meet you, Minkowski!" Lucifer Force It is your time to shine, gurlllllll!

Two sudden signals popped onto his radar. It was the moment Bazzite had been waiting for. Deftly did the Captain close the distance between himself and the two senshi signals. One was below him and one matched him. Finally it felt downright amazing to be above lieutenant. Now he felt like he actually mattered, in a way. He could prove himself using the power he'd acquired and the training he'd been working so very hard at. Just before the two senshi could shake hands, three shuriken sliced through the air. They were razor sharp and stood on point, straight up in the air, embedded into the concrete just a few feet away. Up on the building above crouched a Negaverse captain, likely recognizable by Tsui based on the weapon alone. Hood was up, face obscured by darkness and moonlight at his back. Bazzite felt that he was on top of the world right then, that he'd finally gotten some kind of advantage. Now, he'd made a promise to Aurora not to take any starseeds. But that didn't mean he couldn't take back the senshi decked out in butterflies, the one who ranked below him. Maybe the Negaverse could save her? He'd just have to get around the damned tiger first. He took off like a rocket into the shadows to get around Tsui and somehow nab Minkowski. ChibiGingi GURL, gurl you got it gurl. Merurulince Hay gurl hold mah throwin' stahs gurl.

Finding out that Gwen was a senshi as well changed a lot of things for Minkowski, and while she'd need some time to fully process it, she was relieved that she wasn't alone, and that telling the truth had been the right decision. "Super Sailor Tsui," Minkowski repeated, letting that sink in, "It's... it's nice to meet you as well, Tsui!" The petite senshi if butterflies was about to extend her own hand in greeting, to shake hands, but she quickly rethought that decision as the shruiken whizzed past, catching her offguard. Sailor Minkowski had never net an officer of the Negaverse before, but that was quickly to change. "Wh... What was that?" she managed to stammer out, confused.

And it seemed that with the revelation the two of them were graced with that evening, great responsibility and great trouble immediately followed it. Tsui had felt the Chaos aura spike but it was already too late to prepare herself for his arrival. No, there was only time to brace, and Tsui had barely, JUST barely moved her hand back to avoid the almost lightning quick shuriken that zipped past the two. Yes, she recognized the weapons, alright, and immediately she took guard, jumping in front of Minkowski and looking in the direction where the sudden attack came from. "Bazzite! I remember you!" Tsui shouted, catching a glimpse of the officer and immediately noting the changes in his appearance. Tied with the upgraded weapon, it was safe to say that he had finally reached Captain, but that wasn't going to stop Tsui from finishing where she left off with him. "Get lost, or else! Pasiphae isn't here to save you this time!" He was oddly silent from their last encounter, and Tsui immediately felt a little creeped out by it. The last time, he was vibrant, if not ignorant, and quite mouthy. This time? Nothing. It seemed like he was fitting his attire well, as he disappeared into the darkness, without a word or noise. No, Tsui definitely didn't like this sudden change of topic, and she certainly didn't want to meet her demise at the hand of a ninja. She looked around for him, trying to hold onto her panic and calling to Minkoswki all the while. "Stay close! I won't let him hurt you!" It was the Senshi of Tiger's time to play the hero, and she was going to take that responsibility well... just as soon as she could find where the damn captain ran off to!

"Get lost, or else! Pasiphae isn't here to save you this time!"Bazzite frowned from the shadows. Of course it would give away his position but he had to have confidence in his speed and abilities to make up for it. He couldn't let Tsui taunt him like this! "Pasiphae didn't save me, she helped you smash me into her force field... thing! How would you like your tiger self smashed into a shield?" Okay so that didn't sound very intimidating. Bazzi didn't have much practice in that arena. He definitely considered Minkowski a better target than Tsui for Tsui could defend herself quite well and displayed that all over Bazzite's face last time he attacked. Sure they were (relatively) equal in power now but the tiger couldn't be trusted. She could call up friends and bring them in and who knows what. But the butterfly senshi? Much better. Much safer. Probably. Most likely. And so, after darting about in the shadows for a bit longer to try and confuse the senshi, the little ninja darted out from left field and aimed for Minkowski. To say Minkowski was having trouble following this conversation, if you could even call it a conversation, was a bit of an understatement. From what she could gather, though, the voice belonged to someone named Bazzite, who was the source of the newfound Chaos aura, and that he and Tsui apparently had a history. Oh, and, he was crashing her own conversation with Tsui, apparently. "-- You know each other?" Minkowski asked, trying to catch herself up with things. Well, of course Tsui knew him, from what she could figure out, but she was kind of curious as to what they were talking about, exactly. She'd have to ask for more details later, though, as Bazzite, wherever he was, was moving around, making it hard to pinpoint a location. If it wasn't already hard to focus, he was making things harder. Clumsily, as the Negaverse Captain made a dive for her, Minkowski tried to sidestep out of the way, not quite realizing he was headed for her until the last second.

"Yeah, we had a run in once before..." Tsui said with a spat, keeping her position in front of Minkowski intact, even when Bazzite seemed to have vanished from her sight when he fell into the shadows. She did nothing to stop the curse from leaving her lips, and she reached back to grab Minkowski before he had the chance to reappear again. "Dammit, you really think you're a ninja, don't you?" Given his attire and the rambling from last time, Tsui highly suspected that he believed himself to be one, but if there was one thing that could probably counter a ninja in the stealth department, it was a tiger. In the wild, tigers were kings of stealth, but unlike Bazzite, Tsui was well aware that she wasn't a tiger, though it would have likely given her some advantage in this situation. For example, a tiger could have easily have twisted around and caught the negaverse captain with its claws when it tried to grab its tail. Tsui had managed to intervene with his lunge, just as Minkowski had barely dodged his attempt. She grabbed onto his shoulders, but unfortunately, there were no fierce tiger claws to dig into him, and the momentum of his charge had sent Tsui flying back against the pavement, desperately clinging to him and trying to take him down with her. Even as her back slammed against the ground and she was left breathless, she took some minor comfort in knowing that he hadn't hurt her friend...
