Important/Potential Roleplay Locations Within Dorras Hold

Docks - The source of Dorras's income, the docks are where the majority of Dorras's Holder's work. They cover the majority of the shoreline surrounding the south and south east sides of Dorras. Most of the imports and exports of Western travel through Dorras at some point and between the docks and the main hold is a thriving district of warehouses, storage yards and minor crafthalls. Seacraft and Woodcraft are big presences at Dorras with decorative furniture and items made from the local hardwoods being one of their largest exports.

The Hall -
The Hall of Dorras is set back from the peninsula where the forest grows thicker. It is a large circular building containing the Lord Holder's quarters, smaller private offices and large meeting hall. Smaller buildings branching off of it hold the kitchens, main dining hall, and various public resources.

Craft Halls - Almost every craft available on Pern has representation on Western. While a large Seacraft Hall is established north of Dorras Hold, within Dorras itself is a collection of minor halls, small buildings where representatives can train apprentices and negotiate the price and availability of their crafts products coming in and out of the hold. Craft Heads work closely with Dockmasters and merchants.

Housing - Where the majority of the Hold lives, in one- and two-family homes all lined along slightly uneven streets. Residential areas ring the northern edges of the weyr, some set further back into the marshlands with stilted buildings and walkways. Most of the buildings in Dorras is built of local woods which larger buildings and warehouses sporting stone floors and walls for structural support.

Specifics

Leadership

Dorras Hold is run by Lord Krakken, no ifs ands or buts about it. His Lady Holder wife died several Turns back and Lord Krakken has been running the Hold alone ever since. He does not appear to be interested in finding another wife. Krakken's son, Korant, is being trained as the heir to Dorras Hold.
