So...

A lot of people have been wondering.

And saying that none of my school friends are on Gaia I feel safe to say this.

I self harm.

Enough said.

Sometimes I don't even know why I do it.

But if anyone needs somewhere they can rant or vent.

I'm here.

And I will help you as much as I can.

And we can all come together and help each other.

Maybe this'll work, maybe it won't.

I don't know.

I just felt like I had to say something.

You shouldn't try to keep that such a secret in your real life. I mean, you definitely shouldn't broadcast it around your school, either, since teenagers can be such judgmental bitches about s**t they know nothing about. You shouldn't hide it from your parents, though. Trust me, I totally understand what it's like to hide that sort of s**t -- to hide all sorts of s**t -- from your parents, because your natural reaction is to just assume that they'd get mad at you for it, &/or to be scared of what they'd do if they knew. But it's very important that you understand that you need help, you can be helped, & that self-harming is very dangerous & very addictive, it's a problem you can't keep hiding. If you tell your parents about it in a responsible & adult fashion, I'm sure they'll be upset, but not upset at you at all... Upset at themselves for not noticing sooner or anything. Of course, I don't know your parents; maybe they have a really bad temper. If that's the case, it's particularly important though that they know about this before some sort of emergency situation occurs. If you simply can't tell them about the cutting, don't. Just tell them that you've been a lot more sad than you used to be lately, & that you think you should see a therapist or psychiatrist because you really need help figuring out what's going on with you & if it's more than just hormones or something. Whatever it takes to get professional help.

oh my parents know. They made a big deal about it for about 2 weeks and now we don't talk about it. And I have had a psychologist since I was 8. I think I just have issues. Only certain people know about it, I don't go broadcasting it, I don't do it for attention, it's just it's bound to get out at some point, I guess.

A few years ago they came up with this idea to draw a butterfly where you selfharm and name it after someone you love. So if you cut the butterfly, you hurt them.

I dont know how much help it would be if you have been seeking professional help. But I think its worth bringing up.

I tried that. It's helpful to some, but it's not for me. And my parents also get mad at me when I draw on myself.
