She didn't know why she'd done it - this crazy outfit thing - but she had. She still couldn't believe she was now somehow involved in this whole terrorist mess, as if she didn't have enough on her plate already. Stomping a heeled boot on the ground as he thoughts turned and wove down dark corridors of her mind, her emotions easy to pick up on, the hood wearing Page continued her path along the back alley's of the city. She didn't want people seeing her, not after that run in with the cape wearing General. That was enough to really put her off this whole thing and yet here she was. She could only blame her need to know just what she was, and her part in this mess, for bringing her out in this...getup.

The hair decorations were at least nice. The colors weren't altogether bad either although the boots seemed rather reckless to be wearing when expected to fight. Sighing she glanced around as she tugged the hood up higher, not that it could go up any higher, and continued on her way. Passing by a hissing cat she spared it a frosty glare before continuing on her way, the coat much like a cloak or a cape in how it could billow out behind her at times. The faster her pace, which was at a fast walk right now, the more it seemed to billow out behind her.

For all her posturing she also had her arms tight about herself, what appeared to be a small toy scepter peeking out between arms and warm fabric, as she reassured herself that she was safe. Where she was going and who or what she was looking for she was clueless about. She only knew two people, aside from that General, and she didn't know more than their names and appearances. This really wasn't a good idea and yet she continued on as she peeked down an alley way and toward the street where people walked along the side walk and cars drove north and south on the road. At least her...uniform...was warm and she hadn't had a run in with the bad guys again.

Maybe she should just turn around and head home and forget this whole thing, as if it had all been some dream induced by a insufficient amount of sleep and long hours being busy. No one would know and she could continue on with her life. At some point she'd stopped in her tracks, not even noticing she had, and stood there tapping a boot as the idea tantalized her mind with it's invitation of a return to normal.

Niflhel had been hanging around on a fire escape. Arms folded over his chest, he was taking a break from his beat. Granted, he was also being cautious, still wary of now Princess Ares.

When he noticed an energy signature, causing his eyes to draw towards the figure in question. The stomping of the boots could be heard and he tilted his head, "I'm assuming you're not very happy." He called down from the second story fire landing.

Which was fine with him, he'd had enough of Sutai's cheerfulness. He was starting to feel like the grumpy bear of the team, at least from what he'd remembered from the old cartoon he use to watch. He hummed as he jumped down, not even seconding guessing the height which he jumped from.

"I don't see why though. You seem to have a very nice and warm coat." He was inspecting the newer page, circling around once. Trying his best not to look like he meant her harm but more... in a curious manner. There was a pause as he looked at the symbol on her coat.

"Interesting..." He mused before offering a bit of a grin, "Niflhel Knight of Saturn, and you are?" He also offered out his hand, but was keeping a careful eye on her reaction. He'd had plenty of people just jump at him mistaking him for a foe.

She hadn't felt it, and somehow she knew she should have, her attention went right up to the voice. Eyes of a purple hue locked on the figure and for a moment she thought she might be in trouble. But it didn't seem so. he didn't feel at all like that General...rather he felt like that Knight who had helped her. Ok, so she was at least safe. "No, not in particular." She stated after some moments of silence.

Staring at the circling figure she felt herself trying to turn her head much like an owl, in order to keep her eyes on him. Once her neck protested that it wouldn't turn further she whipped her head around in the opposite direction, fast enough to give whiplash and smack someone with her long hair and it's adornments. "Interesting? What's interesting?" She questioned as he finally seemed done with his inspection, what had he been looking for?

"Delphi...Polaris." She said quickly while reaching out to shake the offered hand. "And I am warm. But this whole situation is reason for my...unhappiness." She stated, hoping she didn't need to elaborate. It wasn't that she couldn't elaborate but rather that she didn't want to get into the whole mess she'd only just found herself involved in. It would surely fluster her and lead to her possibly shouting, stomping some more, and venting in general.

He nodded and shrugged, "I suppose it's to be expected." Niflhel said in almost a consoling manner. As he took a seat on some creates. Crossing one leg over the other, much like he was about to enjoy this conversation. Once he was satisfied with his inspection of the new page, and having barely missed being smacked in the face. He was getting use to all these girls with super long hair.

"Polaris you say?" He was stroking his non-existent beard, as if the thought seemed to intrigue him more. In fact he was probably having a little fun with the page. Listening more he realized he might just have some leverage on her, to find out why she was so unhappy -- if she wasn't willing to tell him outright.

"I should've known you were of Polaris. Nice to meet you Delphi."

There was a serious look to his face now, though still intrigued. "Why are you unhappy?" He asked, "From what I see, you have no reason to. You've a warm coat, and some nice boots. Any girl I know would kill for that." In his defense he knew a lot of girls with skimpy uniforms. To him, this was the most practical one of them all.

"What's to be expected?" She questioned quickly. "The unhappiness?" She didn't like him, or rather the way he acted and spoke. There was just something about it all which rubbed her wrong. Was this some sort of game he was playing? The idea of that had her already disliking him, something which would likely stick.

"I did." She bit back an added comment and settled instead for nodding her head. "Why would you have known, is there some sign of that?" She asked looking down at her own uniform. Was there something she was missing here, it certainly felt like it. She really didn't like this whole thing, maybe she should have turned for home sooner.

"Good things, for this weather of course. But being pulled into this whole nonsense with terrorists. I have better, more important, things to dedicate my time and energies to. Not to mention I didn't need to find this out by being grabbed by some...some General." Huffing once her arms fell to her sides, one holding onto what amounted to a toy in her mind. It really wasn't worth much in her opinion; at least not if she needed to defend herself.

"And I didn't ask or even care to be dragged into this situation. I'd rather get no closer than watching the reports on the news. And now I'm some part of this mess." And a stomping of a heeled boot punctuated her sentence. "I'd like to honestly just forget it all." And yet here she was, despite everything she'd just said.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 27, 2012 10:05 pm

Niflhel shrugged, "Everyone deals with how they're pulled into this in their own way. Yours is unhappiness. Mine was wanting to know more about what was going on and to understand why certain things happened like they did. Some of us are pulled in more willingly than others. It happens."

He nodded and pointed to her sleeves. "See that star there? And the other stars among your outfit? Those are the symbol of Polaris. Four larger points and four smaller points, basically a compass rose for a symbol. You seem to be better dressed for the weather..." He trialled off as if he hadn't finished that thought, because something else caught his attention that she'd said.

There was a sense of curiosity, "What General? Or rather... what did they look like?" He wasn't going to claim to know all the negaverse generals but perhaps if he knew which one she'd run into he could help there.

"Now, in our defense we're not the terrorists. We're the good guys. You see the Negaverse is tainted and confused. They believe the harm they cause to innocent people is helping the earth, however, what's going to end up happening is that earth would be destroyed with their methods. You might be in a mess you don't want to be in. But the news reports don't know all the story, they just go along and make whatever story sales."

"I want to know more, it's the only reason I'm out here...like this." Gesturing to her clothing. Which really was warm. But the point still remained - she was a part of this and didn't want to be. "I want to know but I don't want to be a part of it." If that made an ounce of sense really.

"I like the warmth...I'll say that." Even as she was inspecting the compass rose on her uniform. "I'd thought it was a simple design. I mean, yes I know what a compass rose is. But I was unaware of what it meant." She hadn't asked. She'd been rather...elsewhere mentally and emotionally. At least she knew one thing, and not even something she'd had a question for. How many more things did she need to know, and how many more things did she want to know? The list was long, and really she felt it would only grow if she actually sought answers to it all. She didn't like that, it would mean more time spent like this. It wasn't a pleasing idea really.

"Some general with a black cape, long coat. He was short with long blond hair. Said his name was Benitoite." She had a good memory and had repeated that name so many times in her head that she had no way of forgetting it. She'd know him again if she saw him and she wouldn't forget his name ever. "A knight and senshi helped me." Which she was thankful for, don't get her wrong, she was just upset with everything else.

Listening she nodded once. At least part of that made sense to her. "Of course the news does." Though she did watch them and watch the terrorist stories. She hadn't really thought of their being...sides to this whole thing. "So their are bad guys...and good guys and the Negaverse." What an odd name that was. "Want to destroy everything, or rather they don't want to but they are or will. This whole thing sounds like nonsense - confusing nonsense."
PostPosted: Thu Dec 27, 2012 10:34 pm

"Well yeah, once you're dragged in, you're curious about why. It's only natural. We're basically protectors." He added.

"Mm, well for uh.... normal people it's a compass rose. For us gifted folk, it's a symbol of a... uh higher calling." He paused unsure how well the phrase princess would go over at this point. "Actually, there's a senshi with the name Polaris. If you want to meet her."

He paused, "Yeah, basically. The good guys are basically us knights and the senshi. The bad guys are Negaverse and corrupt senshi..... I think they call themselves the dark mirror court or some such. Don't quote me on that one."

He paused, "Well yeah it's confusing nonsense. They're brainwashed and don't realize what they're doing is wrong."

"It all sounds confusing, and rather insane - rather like some bad dream." A protector...her? She couldn't see that really. Well, maybe she could but she still didn't want to become involved. Tapping one boot on the ground and glancing about. "A higher calling makes it sound almost religious, which I really hope this isn't." She wasn't the sort to give in to such things and believe in them. In fact, she was the sort to keep her distance from such nonsense. Anyone who took a set of morals and packaged it into a book and sold it as some truth really wasn't the sort to be trusted with anything. And already the sort who didn't trust people much as it was the fact Winterlynn even separated them from other things, groups, and people she didn't trust meant they were really low in her opinion.

"I - I don't know. I don't want to get involve din this. I want my answers and then to get out." If that was possible. She really was hoping it was possible. She had enough on her plate already.

"So...all the ones on the news are these Negaverse people? All the ones causing problems? Cause some of the damage that's been done to this city is horrible." Was that what they were to protect against? All the damage taking place in the city? To somehow stop it? Finding herself leaning her back against a brick wall behind her, her eyes still on the other. "So what? We protect against all this damage, if it's them causing it all? And do what? Fight them?" Holding up the little toy in her left hand she gave it a wave. "Because this." Indicating the toy with another wave of it. "Could do nothing more than get a person laughed at." And she was no fighter, that was for sure.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 27, 2012 11:00 pm

"Depends on what you believe, maybe if you visit your wonder you'd find some of the answers your looking for." He shrugged softly and then started laughing, "Religious? Nooo. It's much like why any one goes to war. To protect what's theirs and/or protect the rights of those that are innocent."

He shrugged, "If you saw a civilian, who wasn't doing anything wrong being pumpled by a negaverse officer, or anyone for that matter. Would you not want to step in and break it up if you knew you had the power to? If it'd save lives?"

He shrugged, "Well... Polaris is a... what you'd call a princess. She might have better answers than I do. Since you seem to be stationed on her home world." It was the best way he could think of to put it and hopefully not off put the knight anymore. "I know a couple of other princesses that might could help as well. And maybe a cat if I could get a hold of her."

He shrugged, "It's iffy." He answered, "Some of it is them, some of it is... senshi powers gone a little wrong. Unfortunately some senshi's powers are made for field combat, open areas if you will. We got stuck with a war in the city so sometimes there's a little damage on their end as well. Granted they're doing their best to help rebuild and fix their mistakes. Unfortunately there's only so much one can do when being hunted by the police for being a 'terrorist'." Niflhel used air quotes as he spoke about being terrorist.

He paused, "Eh you'll get use to that, we do at least get some vague magic. I'm not sure of all the types but some seem supportive and others are more useful in a fight."

"If you don't know any sort of self defense, though I'd suggest you take up on something of that nature that interests you. Since, no matter how bad you want out, sometimes you cant' get out. If you're not looking for trouble, trouble can find you. It's better to know how to defend yourself just in case. And that goes for every day life as well." He knew a decent amount of people that hadn't even fathomed taking self defense classes and were stuck running away. Niflhel knew that wasn't fun.

"Wonder...like Delphi? That's in another country and I'm not about to go hopping on a plane to see some ruins." She wasn't about to spend the money on something like that, it wasn't about to happen. Really, answered there? She didn't even know a thing about the place. She'd heard the name in passing and had a general idea of where it was. But otherwise was honestly clueless. Frowning she lowered her head and even reached back to pull her hood back up.

"I might, depends on who it is. I'm not about to go stepping in and helping someone who's done me wrong." No matter how small the slight had been, or when it had taken place, she wouldn't be helping those people - ever. And all she'd felt, aside from scared, when she'd been attacked was really drained and tired. So let someone else feel scared and such. If they'd done her a wrong then they could suffer a little in return. Actually the idea wasn't a bad one really. She supposed she shouldn't go saying that right now though, it seemed like a bad idea. And it seemed the other was talking still.

"A princess...home work...like space? A planet?" Now she was looking up and staring right at the other. "Are we talking space and space travel here or something else like that? Because that really sounds farfetched and impossible." Ok, this thing was really heading down the path of insane. Princess of a home world. It sounded like something from a scify book or movie, or off that channel on the tv.

"And of course no one is paying for the damage and the government isn't stepping in or even the city police. And really that makes both sides bad in my opinion. Those who cause such damage should keep it to themselves rather than damage things." Even if it could be repaired. The fact remained things were being damaged and people were suffering because of it. She'd seen enough of the damage over the years as it played out on the tv's local news stations. "As much as they try to rebuild, and you say they do, there are things they can't fix I'm sure." And now she was caught up in this whole mess. She would hope to be able to remove herself from it, and if she couldn't then she'd hope to not have some damaging...magic. God the idea of having magic sounded as insane as home planets did.

"Self defense...I don't have the time and I don't fight." She really could squeeze something in, if she needed to, but she wasn't a fighter. She didn't even go to a gym, she wasn't into that sort of thing. And now she was being told that she should look into it. She really wasn't liking this whole thing. "And you can't just run away, or rather I can't?"

Niflhel tried not to look too amused, "No you don't have to spend money on plane tickets. You can get there just by will but you have to listen and be willing to learn." He shook his head, "Also it's not on earth, well I know there's a Delphi here, but you won't get to where you need to go if you go there."

He nodded, "Yeah kinda.... Polaris is a star though, so it's more of a home-world I doubt it's really big enough to be considered a planet." He rolled his shoulders, "could be wrong."

"Most of those fighting are kids. How much money do you think they make?" He tilted his head, "We do things though to try and make the best of what happens for those that can't control their powers just yet. It takes a bit but most of them can eventually control them. We do charity events and what not. It's not like we're completely heartless bastards."

He crossed his arms looking ab it seriously. "And yes we know there's things that money can't fix. We try to save the people that have their starseeds taken by the Negaverse, it's not always successful. This isn't your fairytale ending to this war if you haven't noticed. Most wars aren't."

He paused, "You don't have to fight, you just have to know how to defend yourself. Even if you got mugged, it'd be better to know a way to protect yourself than to just let it happen wouldn't it? Assuming the mugger doesn't have a gun." Niflhel was trying to make it about common sense. Especially since they lived in this big of a city.

"No... probably not. You can try, but something will end up bringing you back. You were awakened as a knight for a reason. Just as I was. You might be a page and feel like that little stick your holding is useless now, however, you'll gain magic and that stick might not be as useless. You just need a little a training."

He paused, "But like I said eventually they'll go after someone you love and care about. Then it won't seem as silly anymore." He stood up. "So run away if you want to. I can't stop you, but I will let Polaris know you exist, and you should probably expect a letter from me to show up when she finds out." The knight made sure to make a point that she wasn't going to go ignored. "Since I know Polaris personally, I believe I should at least let her know she has another knight. She's kindhearted, you may like to at least make her acquaintance."

Yeah, he could be wrong. Some stars were the size of planets, and bigger even, right? At least that's what she thought. Sh'd never really had an interest in such things. So she was really just guessing. But it would stand to reason that some stars could be that big, right? I mean look at their sun and it was a star also.

"Not much, no doubt. And most are kids...they do look like it int he news reports." And that was sad, not that she wasn't still a kid in some ways. She still couldn't legally drink and only gained the right to vote within the past year. This shouldn't be - none of it. "No...but such things still don't help fully. This should just not be happening especially here." Wars weren't kind, didn't the news prove that? But a war here and not some normal war. It was terrorism really. A war of terrorists on both sides, since both sides caused terror. The more she thought about it all the less she liked it all.

"I assume mace won't work?" He asked. Fighting wasn't her thing. But he did make a point. She should know it anyway, she was still a lone female who came home late at times. Anything could happen to her, and she would be helpless. She'd worried about the terrorists on her late night walks home, as rare as they were, but now she was being reminded of the common and less scary boogyman that was out there. She didn't like it, but she knew she should have always been thinking about that also. It was just over shadowed by what else lurked in their city - and now she knew what it was.

"So I can't run or ignore it...this is now part of my life?" She didn't like it, not one bit. But their was a certain finality to the situation she was picking up, or maybe it was just her. "Did you want to run from this also?" She had to know even if she shouldn't really ask a personal question like that.

After a moment she pushed off the wall and nodded. "Alright...at least if I have to accept this - which it seems I'll have to - I won't be ignored and left to fend." And that she would like even less than being dragged into this. She just...would rather this whole war just end, or better yet have it never have started, she didn't like fighting. She understood it happened but not this close, not where it impacted her life and those around her. And perhaps that was the problem at the center of it all - how close to home it all was.

"A letter...how?" He didn't know her name or where she lived. She may not like him, did she really like anyone though? And she didn't trust him but she still offered her hand. "If your going to contacting me, and in a sense helping me, you might as well know my name - I'm Winterlynn." Perhaps one of those new age, hippie even, sort of names but she liked her name.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 28, 2012 9:46 pm

Niflhel nodded, "I don't know why kids. I've seen a few elementary kids. But I guess because of how pure of heart they are. Less to taint or something." He rolled his shoulders again. It was something he'd gotten use to. "Oh and if you run into those kids, do me a favor and don't try to stop them, they're probably as stubborn as some adults I know."

He paused, "It might for a few seconds, but the negaverse can teleport so it wouldn't do any good unless you had time to run out of sight." It was about as casual as any answer he'd given thus far.

"Pretty much. You might can ignore it for a while, but I don't think it'll end in time for you to be able to ignore it that long."

He paused when she asked him about if he wanted to run from this. His eyes dropping a bit. "Honestly I didn't, however, I had my reasons. There were answers I needed to know. Even when I was a civilian I was muddling in things I didn't understand. I've been following the senshi for a long time." He admitted, "Trust me, I've seen what the negaverse is capable of, and what the senshi can do long before I ever got pulled into the fight like this."

He paused, "I have a ring. All I have to do is write your knight name on it and stamp it, it'll get to you. You have one as well but you have to find it."

He paused when she offered her name. There was a small moment that he looked around as if to make sure no one else was around. He hadn't felt any sign of the negaverse. "That's... something else you have to be careful of." He gave a small smile powering down, "However since you're Polaris' knight.... I'm Azzo." He took her hand and shook it. He looked pretty dressed up for a twenty odd year old out for a walk. "Nice to meet you Winterlynn. However, do me a favor and only tell people you truly trust your ... alter ego's identity."

There was another pause, "Also, it's best if you're family and friends never find out. Since there's no tellings who is on what side - if they've been recruited. Not to mention it keeps them safe as well as you if they know as little as possible." Azzo adjusted his sweater before powering up again.

"Teleport...nice to know." Really helpful, told her how she would need to learn to defend herself. Now she needed to make time for that...and join something and spend money - not something she really wanted to do. And little kids...why? She doubted she'd be able to keep her mouth closed if she ran into any of them, which she really hoped never happened.

"I see...I've only kept up on it, as much as one can, because it's all so close." And that bothered her. War, like this, shouldn't be touching here. It was wrong and it bothered her. Plus with them all dressed up who knew who was one of these people. She didn't like it one bit to be honest. The more he spoke the more she felt she couldn't run and hide, ignore it all, pretend it had never happened. She wanted to but it just seemed like it would be impossible to do such. "And it'll arrive...but what about if people are around or what? I doubt I could explain it to anyone who might see."

Shaking her head, long hair swaying back and forth. "I'd never go and tell family or friends. I wouldn't trust either to be honest. In fact, I don't trust you either but if I'm going to get answers from you I can trust you enough with a first name." Azzo, what an odd name although hers wasn't common either. After a moment of shaking his hand, and taking in how well dressed he was, she let his hand go.
